It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Chesley Childs announce his sudden passing on Monday, September 1st, 2003 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 80th year.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years Mary; son Garland & wife Jeanie; daughters: Suzanne Childs (Howard )and Rosalyn Sheppard (Rendell); foster daughter Heather Traverse (Rick) all residing in Lark Harbour; 10 grandchildren: Steven, Jeffrey, Ryan, Johnny, Melanie, Dennis, Dale. Trina, Richard and Regie; 6 great grandchildren: Kirkland, Dayna, Denise, Craig, Dawson and Mia; 2 brothers: Ronald (Mamie), Lark Harbour, Soloman (Marie), Yarmouth, NS; brothers-in-law: Roland Sheppard, Kenneth Druggett; and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents George and Clara Childs; sisters: Ruby, Elsie, Bessie and Mary; brothers: Bill and Herbert.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 4th at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour, Reverend Joyce Payne officiating followed by the interment at the Church Cemetery. Friends may visit St. James Anglican Church Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.

Tragically in Ottawa on Thursday, October 31, 2002.
Beloved husband and best friend of Christine Vaillancourt. Precious son of Andrew and Myra Green. Cherished brother of Glen (Andrea). Loving grandson of Cecelia Peters (Max Rose) and the late Patrick Peters and the late Sidney and Lillian Green. Dear son-in-law of Robert and Eileen Vaillancourt. Special uncle of Amiee and Alexander Green, Mikaela and Olivia Groulx, Emille, Nicholas, Joel, Tianna and Caitlin Vaillancourt. Wonderful brother-in-law of Darrell and Suzanne Vaillancourt, Lyne Vaillancourt (the late Gary), Bernie and Susan Groulx. He will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Sean was an enthusiast of sports and laughter. He loved the great outdoors - from playing ultimate to swimming oceans to hiking mountains.
Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 5th, at 10:30 A.M. from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, Humber Road, Fr. Gordon Grace officiating. Interment to follow Mt. Patricia Cemetery.

She will be sadly missed by her sister Marguerite Taylor of Grand Falls; nieces: Bonnie and David Candow, Ontario, Betty and John Seaborn, New Brunswick, Jean and David Kelly, Mt. Pearl, Derrice and Robert Pieroway, Nova Scotia; nephews: Guy and Tina Clarke, Corner Brook, Robert Ford Ontario, and Sidney Ford, Ontario, special friend Jean Snow, Grand Falls She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Hancock, April 6, 2000., parents James and Fannie Lind
The Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22nd at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive, Corner Brook, Canon David Pearce officiating. The interment will follow at the Mt. Patricia Cemetery Receiving Chapel. A reception will be held at St. Michael�s and All Angels Church Hall after the interment service, all are welcome to attend. Charlotte Melvina (nee Martin) Hellier
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charlotte Melvina Hellier announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, July 11th, 2002 in her 76th year.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Gilbert S Hellier, four children; Darlene Hellier of Corner Brook, NF, Frederick Hellier of Innisfil, ON, Enid Dominey (George), of Kippens, NF and Donald Hellier (Angie) of Innisfil, ON, also leaving to mourn to with fond memories, sisters; Gladys McLeod, Clarice Bennett, Olga Rolfe (Garland); brothers; William Martin and Hedley Martin (Vonnie). She will be remembered and missed by eight grandchildren, one great grandchild as well as other relatives and friends.
Melvina was predeceased by her parents Azariah and Sarah Martin, sisters; Maisie Martin, Doris Martin, Myrtle Raymond, Emma Tucker, Annie Myles and Violet Pye: brothers Baxter and Roy Martin.
Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday evening from 7-9:00 pm and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 15th at 2:00 pm from The Oakland United Church, 5 Forestside Street, Corner Brook, Rev Clayton Parsons officiating, interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Michael Jesso
Passed away peacefully at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville. Tuesday October 29, 2002, Michael Jesso in his 100th year. Leaving to mourn are his brothers: Arthur, Bay St. George Long Term Care Center, Stephenville Crossing and Andrew, Vermont, USA; sons: Gerard (Moria), Ontario, Lambert (Alma), Con (Viola) both of Port Au Port and Eddie (Beulah), Kippens; daughters: Moisie, Port Au Port, Maureen, Stephenville, Rona (Raymond), Sheaves Cove, and Riza (Jim), Florida, USA, his care giver and daughter-in-law, Geraldine, Degrau. He will be sadly missed by his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren along with a large circle of relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary (Armany); sons: Bernard, Elias and Clayton.
Visitation will begin on Thursday at Our Lady of the Cape Roman Catholic Church, Degrau from where the funeral mass will take place on Firday, November 1st at 2:00 p.m. with Father Jon Gal officiating. She will be sadly missed by her husband James, Marche�s Point; sons: Aubrey (Jessica) and Claude (Joyce), Toronto; mother: Loretta March; grandchildren: Cheyenne Jesso, Navada Jesso, Nash Jesso, Page Benoit, Ansolum Rowe, Johathan Barry; brothers: Aubrey, Henry, Mark (Sherry), Herman (Theresa); sisters: Regina (Conrad) Benoit, Margaret (George) Wells, Juanita (Carl) Richards, Cadie (Harvey) Benoit, and Delores Stuckless. After a brief but very courageous battle with cancer,it is with great sadness that the family of Diane Marie Lyver announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, on October 12, 2007 at the age of 54. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, Fredrick "Buck"; children Craig and Collin Lyver (Lori-Lynn), granddaughter Corey-Leigh Seaward; father Peter Murphy; sisters & brothers: Judy Penney (Gord), Terry Murphy (Rose), Brian Murphy, Gary Murphy (Crystal), Tony Murphy (Sue), Bruce Murphy, Lisa Wheeler (Daryl); special nephew Brian White (Diane); sisters-in-law: Maude Penney (Roy), Isabelle Wheaton (Tom), Joan Coggins, Doreen Lyver, Beatrice Parnell and Mary Parnell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews,other relatives, many special friends and co-workers at Western Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her son Cory Lyver, mother Anita Murphy, grandmother Elizabeth Reid, nephew Jamie Penney, mother & father-in-law Theresa & James Lyver, sisters-in law Genevieve White & Theresa Rumbolt. Passed away Thursday, August 28th, 2003 at his family residence, Henry Way at the age of 73. He leaves to mourn his wife Sadie, children: Melvin, Loomis & Brenda, Clarence & Nancy, Bertha & George, Keif & Karen, Eric & Marlene, Bryce & Ann, Brada & George; 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; brothers: Abe (Rosalene), Corner Brook, Max (Mabel), Flowers Cove; sisters: Alma Penney, St. Anthony, Bertha (Montrose) Genge, Flowers Cove; sister-in-law Hazel Way, Flowers Cove, Grant (Estelle) Way, St. John�s; special nephew & niece Dr. Clifton Way (Betty), Millie Simms (Willie P. Simms), as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by parents Agustus and Suzannah, brothers: Stewart, Aubrey, Pearce, Clayton, sisters: Josie, Pearl & Ella .

Roy Arthur Anderson
Passed away peacefully, March 28th, 2003, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Roy Anderson in his 93rd year.
He will be sadly missed by his loving family: three sons; Edward (Loretta), Clarence (Kay), Meadows, David, Ontario; three daughters: Effie Oliver, Judy Foote (Clifford), Mississauga, ON and Lorena Blanchard (Elwood), Meadows; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law Adgie Anderson, Meadows, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mildred on June 20th, 1997, parents John and Annabella, three brothers, William, Lloyd and Daniel, two sisters, Effie and Lena.
Friends visited Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Meadows on Saturday evening and Sunday from Where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 31st at 2 PM, Rev. Ken Abbott officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Philip Beales announce his passing on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 74 years.

One sister: Veronica Joyce, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mildred Ann, and daughter Sylvia Ann.

Ethel Winnifred Bennett
It is with great sadness that the family of the late ETHEL WINNIFRED BENNETT announce her passing on Wednesday March 12, 2003 at the Interfaith Home, Corner Brook at the age of 88.
She will be sadly missed by her son John Robinson (Janet), step son John Bennett (Margaret), Cormack; grandchildren: Michael Robinson (Sherry), Faith Robinson, Noel Robinson, Sheldon Robinson (Maxine), Vicki Earle (Gregory); great grandchildren: Janet and Shane Twyne, Shelley and Christopher Robinson, sisters: Mabel Abbott and Edna Peckford (Ronald), Kitchener, Ontario; brother Cyril Janes (Edna), Curling, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband James Bennett in 1985.

It is with Great Sadness that the family of the late Arthur E. Blanchard announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Thursday, November 7th, 2002 at the age of 87.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 66 years, Ethel Mae Blanchard; 6 sons: Ernest (Claudine), Clayton, Roland (Gloria), Meadows, Jordy (Maureen), Norris Point, Brian (Marie), Mulvers, Lawrence (Peggy), Meadows; 5 daughters: Una Lovell (Nelson), Melvers, Isabel Hunt (David), Meadows, Jean Combdon (Garry), Jackson's Arm, Avril Blanchard, Anita Blanchard, Meadows; sister Edith Blanchard; brother-in-law Chesley Brake (Sylvia), sisters-in-law: Lena (Freeman) Bolt, Inez Brake, Meadows; 24 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother John Blanchard and parents Norman and Beatrice Blanchard.
The family will be receiving friends from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Meadows beginning Friday at 1 pm and on Saturday; followed by the funeral service Sunday, November 10th at 1 pm. The interment will be held at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edith Brake announce her passing an Tuesday, September 9,2003 at the Interfaith Home for Seniors in Corner Brook in her 91st year.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children-three daughters: Ida Park, Gillams, Bernice (Robert Wetmore), Everett, Ontario., Nela (Donald Elliott), Richmond Hill, Ontario., three sons: David (Judy), Cox's Cove, Wayne, Bancroft, Ontario., and Noal (Mary), Meadows, 27 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren: sister; Nona George, Comer Brook, brother- Arthur Ellsworth, Mountainview Home, Meadows, sister-in-law, Bessy Ellsworth, Kelowna, BC, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband Gordon, 1964, daughters Eileen and Ena Brake, grandchildren Flora Pike, Gordon, Danny and Robin Stone, sister, Lida Gillam, brothers; Stewart Wight, Clayton Ellsworth and Ralph Ellsworth, sisters-in-law; Sarah Wight, Mariah Ellsworth and Matilda Ellsworth, brother-in-law Augustus Gillam, and sons-in- law; Eli Park, Reginald Brake and Harry Brake.

Richard Brake
Passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2003, surrounded by his loving family, Richard Brake, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 74 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his eight children; Richard Jr. (Sara), Stephenville, Roger, Calgary, AB, Janet (Monty) McAuley, Kirk (Marina), Summerside, Andy (Roberta), Deer Lake, Pamela, Sherry (special friend Joanne), and Neville (Terri), Calgary, AB. 20 grandchildren; Becky, Nino, Mary, Natalie, Zachary, Dominic, Vanessa, Donald, Connie, Chad, Corina, Carol, Nadine, Adam, Marcel, Shane, Mason, Anne, Nathan and Caden; four great grandchildren; Kayla, Sheldon, Che1sea and Alex. Predeceased by her parents: Sarah and Joseph Lovell; sisters: Greta Lovell, Mildred Park and Emma Blanchard; brothers; Esau, Maurice and William Lovell; mother and father -in-law: Christina and Richard Park. Friends may visit The Anglican Church of the Epiphany, McIvers on Tuesday evening beginning 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 15th at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Joan Coles officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Brown announce her passing on Friday, September 19th, 2003 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 89th year.
She will be sadly missed by her 10 children: George (Vera), Henry (Lorraine), Howard (Dot), Doris O�Dell, Angela Hase (Don), Kay Piercey, Linda Locke (Lloyd), Gloria Brown (Frank), Margaret Crawford (Doug), Vera Nelson (Ron); daughter-in-Law Carrie Brown; 32 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren; sister Edith Wheeler (Roland); sisters-in-law: Evelyn Barnes, Rose Barnes, Angeline Brown, Lillian Langer and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Brown (1994), son William Brown, sisters Ida Wheeler, Jessie Strickland, brothers Harry Barnes, Enis Barnes and sister-in-law Margaret Williams.
The funeral service will be held Monday, September 22nd at 10:30 a.m. from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cathedral, Main Street, The Very Reverend Lorne Gosse officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre�s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church.

MARY AGNES BUCKLE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late MARY AGNES BUCKLE announce her passing on Friday, July 11th 2003 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 83 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are four children: Sheila MacNeil (Brian), Albert Buckle (Linda), Robert Buckle and special mend Linda MacLaren, Regina Staples (Gerry); thirteen grandchildren: Brian Buckle, Janet Lynn, Brianjr, Mark & Michael MacNeil, Cheron, Cassandra, Melissa Buckle, Shane, Shannon & Erin Buckle, Michael & Danny Staples; four sisters: Elizabeth (Betty) Fitzgerald, Sheila Sova (Richard), Jean Murphy (Bill), Patricia (Pat) Greene (Bryan); three brothers: Kevin, Mike and Frank Fitzgerald; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward Buckle (1986), sons Francis (1952) & Paul (1999), brothers Joe (1997) & Roy (1968).
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, July 14th at 10:30 a.m. from The Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mt. Bernard Avenue, followed by the interment at Mt. .Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue Saturday from 7-9 p.m, and Sunday from 2-4 &. 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.

Passed peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2002 at the Interfaith Home, Sarah Lavinia Carter at the age of 90.
She will be remembered with fond and loving memories by her son Reginald Carter (Sharon), Corner Brook; daughters Violet Gregory (Winston), Orrilla, ON, Elizabeth Reeve (Richard), Washington, Margaret Brenner (John), Whiting, Iowa, Audrey Carberry (Ross), Corner Brook, Sandra Taylor, Halifax, NS; 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; brother Edgar Parsons, sister Marie Blackwood (Jim), sister-in-law Kathleen Parsons; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Carter, January 16, 1998, brother Captain Herbert Parsons, sister-in-law Nita Parsons.
The family will be receiving friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Monday from 7-9 pm followed by a private family service on Tuesday, July 23. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Children's Wish Foundation will be graciously accepted.

It is with great sadness that the family of Bertha Clarke announce her passing on Friday, September 19, 2003 at The Interfaith
Home, Comer Brook, in her 110th year.
She is survived by grandsons: William, Vancouver; Robert (Marie), Mount Pearl, John (Margaret), Mount Pearl, Malcolm (Andrea), Saskatoon, Sask, Ralph (Peggy), Prince George, BC, Richard (Dina) , Brampton. ON, granddaughters: Joy (Greg) Taaffe, Comer Brook; June, Red Deer; AIta; Susan (Keith) Spencer, Saskatoon, Sask.; also by fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving husband Herbert Clarke (1973), son Herbert Clarke Jr. (1994), daughter-in-law Margaret Clarke (1996) and grandson Jim Clarke (1995).
The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St Mark's Avenue, on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m. from The Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive, Major Gary Cook officiating, with interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to The Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive or to The Interfaith Home.
