Blanchard, Doris - 73, of Big River, passed away, Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Big River, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Bateman) Black.
She was a member of the St. Theresa Church as well as a member of the Little Flower Council CWL and the Big River Seniors Happy 4 Club.
She is survived by:

She was predeceased by her husband Earl, in 1991 and a daughter Susan in 1972. Brothers; James, Cecil and Lloyd; sisters, Beatrice Branch, Martha Carey and Myrtle Smith.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Elhatton Funeral Home, St. George St., Bathurst from 7-9 PM, and Friday, March 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 9 AM until time of funeral. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11 AM from the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial will be in the spring at St. Theresa Cemetery, South Bathurst. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Bathurst … A l’hôpital régional Chaleur de Bathurst, le mercredi 21 mai 2008, à l’âge de 78 ans, après une courageuse lutte contre le cancer et entourée de sa famille est décédée paisiblement Lorraine (Goldrup) Power-Arseneau, épouse de feu Henry “Harry” Power en première noce et Harold Arseneau en deuxième noce.
Née le 24 décembre 1929 à Bathurst Est, elle était fille de feu John Goldrup et feu Elizabeth Blanchard.

Elle était membre des « Retired Teachers Association », les Dames Auxillière des Chevaliers de Colomb 1935, membre des CWL Eglise Ste Famille pour 50 ans, membre de « Holy Family Club 200 » et membre de Club de Café des Dames du lundi.
La dépouilles mortelle sera exposé vendredi à compter de 14h à la Maison Funéraire Elhatton, Bathurst. Les Funérailles seront célébré samedi le 24 mai 2008, en l’Église Ste Famille de Bathurst, à 14h. Les heures de son vendredi de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h et samedi
de 12h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. A la demande de la famille, un don peut être fait à la Société Canadienne du Cancer, aux soin Palliatif de l’Hôpital régional chaleur ou à une œuvre de bienfaisance de votre choix.

Bathurst - Alfred "Buffer" Chamberlain, 77, of Mt. Carmel St., Bathurst, passed away Saturday (March 15, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph and Agnes "Aggie" (Watson) Chamberlain.
He was retired from Brunswick Mining. Buffer had a big heart for his community and did a lot of volunteer work for the City including re-painting all the Fire Hydrants.
He is survived by wife, Marie (Guignard) Chamberlain

Alfred "Freddie" Boudreau
Alfred "Freddie" Boudreau
Bathurst - Alfred "Freddie" Boudreau, 78, of Donald Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (March 15, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Cléophas and Ida (Boudreau) Boudreau.
He worked for NBTel until his retirement, member of Telephone Pioneers, former member of the Bathurst Curling Club, Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club, Sacred Heart Cathedral Choir and was a very active volunteer in his community.
Besides his wife, Yvette (Boudreau) Boudreau, he is survived by:

Burial will be in the Holy Name of Jesus cemetery, Beresford, in the spring. Yolande Marie Arsenault
1938-2008
Yolande Marie Arsenault, 69, wife of Philippe Arsenault of Chemin Tremblay, Tremblay, passed away on Tuesday (March 18, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in St-Grégoire, Bouctouche parish, October 22, 1938, she was the daughter of late Odilon P. Cormier and late Marie Elodie Goguen.
She worked in accounting for Assomption Vie in Moncton, Iron Ore in Sept Iles, Que., and before her retirement, she was with the Commission Scolaire Jerome Boudreau in Beresford.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Philippe.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday (March 24, 2008) at 4:00 p.m. from St-Polycarpe Church, Petit-Rocher.
Burial will be in parish cemetery in the spring.

Bathurst - Leonard Roy, 76, of St. Andrew St., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (March 18, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph Thomas and Virginia (Landry) Roy.
He worked for the former W.J. Kent & Co. Ltd. for most of his life.

She was employed as a Screening officer at the Bathurst Airport.

Clovis Roy, 46, of Moncton and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (March 30, 2008) at the Moncton Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Alcide and Albina (Grant) Roy.
Before moving to Moncton, he was employed with the Northern Light.
He is survived by his spouse, Julienne Levesque.

He was retired from the Canadian Air Force and Brunswick Mining.

Bathurst - Mrs. Marie Audet, 86, wife of Albert Audet, of Miramichi Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (April 6, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Marceline (Roy) Cormier.
Besides her husband, she is survived by:
Three children:
Jeannette Audet and
Leo Audet (Judith), both of Bathurst
Corinne Savoie (Peter) of Fredericton
One sister:
Marguerite Blanchard (Leo-Paul) of Bathurst
Daughter-in-law:
Jacqueline Audet of Montreal, Que.
6 grandchildren; Kelly, Lori, Mark, Lise, Jean, Pierre, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a son; Robert, 3 brothers; Clifford, Harold, Léo, 3 sisters; Adelaide, Hilda and Irene.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (April 9, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery later in the spring. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
