Predeceased by her husband Hubertus "Joe" Smulders and survived by her three children Hank Smulders, Josie McCormick and Kalaya Leighland. Interment at Christ-Roi Church Cemetery, Chateauguay.

VINSON, Guy. 1931 - 2001. passed away on November 12, 2001 at the Lakeshore Hospital at the age of seventy years. Beloved husband of Gisele Lavergne and loving father of Norman (Janice) and Patrick (Natacha). He is also survived by his grandchildren, brothers Andre (Denise) and Jacques (Marthe), as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. BRUUN (GREIG), Agnes. In Rosemere on November 14, 2001, passed away Agnes Greig, at the age of eighty-eight years, wife of the late Peter Bruun. She leaves to mourn her children Jack (Glades Naylor), William (Raymonde Bourassa), the late Laurits, her grandchildren John, Stephen and Cynthia, her great-grandson Dylan, relatives and friends. FEENY, Francoise Raymond. passed away peacefully at the Lakeshore General Hospital after a brief illness on November 4, 2001 at the age of seventy-six. Mother of Peter Porteous, Penny McConnell and Pam Semple (Oakley). Sister to Suzanne Reardon (Ken). Predeceased by sisters Madeleine Usher-Jones and Grace Raymond. Grandmother of Kim, Tracey, Jamie, Tiffany and Ryan. A special thank you to the medical and support staff of the Lakeshore General Hospital, who work very hard under challenging conditions and to the special staff of "We Care". MacFARLANE, Stephen David. passed away November 15, 2001 at the age of forty-one after a short battle with cancer. He leaves behind his loving mother Joan, his sister Dawn and best friend Stan, his loving children Tyler and Jared who were his world, his Nanny Douglas and Heather, his nieces Stephenie and Melanie, his puppy Bart and his kitty Kiwi. MORROW, Arthur Cecil Forrest. (Art Morrow - Musician). passed away November 13, 2001 in Nanaimo. Born December 11, 1919 in Montreal, Quebec. He is survived by his sons Michael, David and Charles and their mother Denyse, his loving wife of many years. Art was a life long musician, arranger and conductor, known for his work with C.B.C. Radio from 1946 to the 1960's. He was also a member of the Nanaimo Concert Band, Parksville Concert Band, Just Us Band and the Port Alberni Group. A special thanks to Dr. Peter King and the Palliative Care Team at Nanaimo General Hospital. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Art's memory to the B.C. PHIPPS, Leslie Roy. (1913 - 2001). At the Northumberland Health Care Centre, Cobourg, Ontario, on Wednesday, November 14 at the age of eighty-eight. Beloved husband of the late Viola Katherin Berkan (died May 13, 2001). Loving father of Robert, Lorrie and Donald. Leslie was a devoted grandfather to Tasha, Eric, Chrissy, Jenny and Danny. Leslie will also be missed by his nieces and nephews. DESROCHES, Lucien. In Nominingue, on November 20, 2001, passed away peacefully after a long battle at Centre Hospitalier Des Laurentides, Lucien Desroches, age sixty one years. He leaves to mourn his wife Therese Desroches (Castonguay) and his three children Lise (Andre), Michel (Sylvie) and Eric (Elaine) as well as his grandchildren: Valerie, Charles, Marc-Olivier, Karine, Marie-Michele and Isabelle. He volunteered at Camp Nominingue for more than forty-five years, never forgetting the Van Wagner Family. HALASZ, Viola (nee Reiner). Born February 9, 1929, passed away in her beloved native city of Budapest, Hungary on Tuesday night, November 20, 2001. She will be greatly remembered by her devoted husband Tom, her step-children, Peter, Kathy (Rosenbaum, Scott) and her many devoted friends in three countries (Hungary, Canada and the U.S.). We will miss her grace, thoughtfulness, honesty, sincerity, unconditional love and above all, her joy in life's smaller pleasures. Her life will be celebrated for her warmth, for being our guiding light and her great capacity for love and comfort. We are grateful that God has granted her peace.

He leaves behind his beloved daughter Michelle, her partner Arthur and his beloved grandson Matthew. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law and best friends Coca and Felix Zohar as well as their daughter Sandra and her husband Greg, and Sandra's brother Baruch and his wife Marisa. He also leaves behind his beloved niece Ruth and her husband David Steinberg as well as Ruth's daughter Jennifer Elias. In Israel, he is survived by his sister-in-law and friend Jetta Rauch and beloved nephew Arie Rauch and his family Diana, Liat, Dafna and Oren. Also, his beloved niece Hanna Milchan and her husband Gerry and their children Liat and Limor. As well, he leaves behind his childhood friend Ida married to the late Puiu Jacobovici and their children Sara and Simcha and his wife Nicole and their children Ziva, Nava and Iosefa. The funeral will take place at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Avenue West, on Thursday, November 22 at 11 a.m. Shiva at 30 Greenfield Avenue, Apt. 2309.

SHAPIRO, Samuel D. passed away on November 19, 2001. Born September 22, 1916. Former resident of Boston. Business man of Montreal for many years. Resident of Hollywood Florida. Survived by Elaine (Freedman) Shapiro and daughter Rene Jeans.
