John’s enthusiasm for life (and good food!) was contagious, affecting everyone who knew him well. His passion for his family knew no bounds, including the love of his life, wife Carole, a best friend with whom he laughed often, played hard, and loved well for over 40 years. After teaching his “4” kids what is important in life (family, integrity, having fun, working hard & being tough!), Stacy & Jay, Kristi & Marc will miss him very much. Zachary, Caleigh, Jonathan, Elijah & Jackson will always treasure the times they shared with Grandad (the biggest kid of all!) playing trucks & hockey, bike riding, or the times he threw them in the water & gave them ‘underducks’ on the swings. Many others enjoyed John’s gusto for everything that he did, including his brothers the late Ted (Gail) & Don (Anna), sisters Joan (the late Al), Thelma (Keith), Charlotte (the late Billy), brother-in-law John (Clare), 17 nieces & nephews & their spouses, and many good, good friends who were very important to him. The family will hold a Memorial Service in John’s honour at the Outdoor Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd), Nepean (613-722-6559), on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 3:30PM.
