Bernadette Marie-Ange Zigante (born Bernadette Perras) of South Esk, New Brunswick. Born 2 December 1936 passed away at the Miramichi Hospital in Miramichi New Brunswick on 14 December 2007. She was born in Waterloo Quebec to Philomene and Frederic Perras. She has two daughters Nina Zigante (Greg Stewart) of South Esk, New Brunswick, Michelle (Claude Connors) of Dieppe, New Brunswick. She has three grand daughters, Alexandra and Francesca Stewart, and Addison Connors. She was inducted into the New Brunswick Women's Hall of Fame in 1994 for being the first female Police Officer in Saint John, New Brunswick.
