MOORE, Fred James – Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’ s Mercy Home on Tuesday, April 20, 2004. Fred James Moore, aged 96 years. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth and daughter Patricia. Leaving to mourn, sons: Conrad (Bernice), and Robert; daughters: Madonna Lambe (Jim), Anita Vincent (Calvin), and Paula Gordon; sister Mary Pavlas; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Funeral Mass from St. Patrick’s Church on Friday, April 23rd, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

MURPHY, Judith (Judy) (nee Byrne) – passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Friday, April 16, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer, age 62. Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary Byrne. Leaving to celebrate her life and cherish her memories are her loving husband Mike; daughters Caryn (Dana), Linda Cahill (Robert), Shelley Clancey; son Michael (Tammy); treasured grandsons: Robert, Scott and Kyle; sisters: Joan Byrne, Jeanette Allwood (Bev); brothers: John, Gary (Brenda), Pat (Debbie), Bob (Barb); and a large circle of nieces, nephews, many friends and Newfie, her napping buddy. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, April 19th, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of Peace Church, Torbay Road. Predeceased by her sister Carmel Tompkins, brother James Murphy and father and mother James and Bertha Murphy (nee Wade). Leaving to mourn three sisters: Madeline McDonald, Jenny Oliver and Mary Murphy; 1 brother Pat Murphy, also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rod. Visitation Wednesday, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, April 10th, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. from Caul's Chapel. Interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Predeceased by her husband Michael O'Keefe, sister Kathleen Condon and her brother Eugene Condon. Left with fond and loving memories, her daughters: Jean (Pierre Tobin), Doris (of the late Robert Kenny), Blanche (Kieran McCarthy); grandchildren: Jennifer (Neil), Amy and Laura Tobin, Suzanne (Nicholas), Robert and Michael Kenny, Christine, Kenneth and Michael (Debbie) McCarthy; great-grandchildren: Samantha, Loni and Gabriel, as well as her brothers Mike Condon and Robert (Mary) Condon; also a large circle of friends and relatives. Hall (Tim) of Virginia, step-daughter Catherine A. Frey (Carl) of Florida, step-son Edward J. Schimpf Jr. (Ashley) of Florida, sister Marie Ellen Ballard of Arizona, brothers: Albert (Dolores) of St. John's and Gerald (Adelia) of Outer Cove; sister-in-law Iris of St. John's, grandchildren Edward J. Schimpf III and Ashley Schimpf; a very special and lifelong friend Marguerite Dean, along with many close friends in Virginia Beach; also leaving a large circle of family and friends in Newfoundland. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday from 10:00 - 12:00; 2:00 - 4:00; and 7:00 - 9:00, Thursday from 10:00 - 12:00. Vigil Service at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
