Survived by his former spouse Ethel Hamilton; father of Harold (Faye), Milton (Carmelle); 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Gertrude Shaw, Annie Davidson and Lucinda Hislop. He was a veteran of the Second World War and the Korean War. Member of the Churchill Club and The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 351 and 480. BOYLE, John Gerald Peacefully in Ottawa February 25, 2000 in his 90th year. John Boyle dear husband of the late Dorothy Hishon. Dear sister-in-law of Dawson Cochrane (Joyce) and Norma Mielke (late Nelson). EDWARDS, Isobel Mary (nee Gregg) 1918-2000 Peacefully at home on February 25, 2000 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Dr. O. E. Edwards (Ted) and cherished mother of Sheryl Lindberg (Larry) and Laurel Laurin (Gerry). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Scott, Stephen (Susan), Heather (Greg Gill), Lisa Lindberg, Emil, Joel, Daniel, Genevieve and Annika Laurin, and her great-grandchildren Mathew and Brandon Lindberg, Meghan and Carly Gill as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. Isobel was a one time President of the Elizabeth Fry Society. A lifelong member of the United Church, she shared her many talents, she was active in the choir, Sunday School, senior support, women's groups and the breakfast club. She strongly supported Foster Parent's Plan and the Christian Children's Fund. Her joy was to love and serve God and all His children. Her gentle, kind, thoughtful, compassionate spirit is her legacy to all who knew and loved her. Grandfather of Amanda, Patrick, Melanie, Marc Andre, Michel, Emily and Marie-Claude. Predeceased by three brothers Jacques, Paul and Charles. Also survived by five sisters Estelle (Leo Deneault), Fabiola Dubois, Jacqueline Barrette, Agathe Gagnon and Claire (Alex Verdon) and two brothers Armand and Marc-Yvain (Anne Audet). He worked for many years at the University of Ottawa as a Professor in the Department of English and as a member of the Support Staff at the Second Language Institute. Widower of the deeply missed Agnes Garneau who passed away on November 5, 1975. Predeceased by his brothers Lucien, Aurele, Urbain, Niel, Octave and Aime and by his sisters Edna and Lawrencia. Father of Norman (Madeleine Seguin), Limoges; Paulette (Claude) Lemieux, Embrun; Louise (Fernand) Martel, Greely; Ron, Ottawa; Linda Dubeau, Ottawa and Luanne (Barry) Lank, Winnipeg. Dad worked for many years with the government in the Justice Department. He loved the law and was a perfectionist in his work. He enjoyed classical music, particularly Beethoven, Sibelius and Mozart.
