SUBLETT:
Jessie Rosella Sublett, 80, formerly of Loveland, died Jan. 27, 2004, in Sarasota, Fla.
She was born June 21, 1923, in Powell, Wyo., to William C. and Clara Barnhart Morris. She attended school in Wyoming, then obtained her engineering degree from the University of San Francisco.
She married Albert Hudson Sublett on April 29, 1940, at her parents’ home in Hyattville, Wyo. He preceded her in death.
During World War II, she worked at Douglas Aircraft in Los Angeles as a riveter, a true “Rosie the Riveter.” She lived in Loveland and worked for Hewlett-Packard in the 1970s and 1980s; she retired from the Corvallis, Ore., HP plant in the 1990s.
She was a member of Namaqua Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Loveland.
Among Mrs. Sublett’s many interests were interior decorating and clothes design and construction. She also enjoyed needlework, gardening, music, writing and travel. She donated blood regularly and was also a parachute jumper.
In the 1960s she was a volunteer counselor for girls in the Ketchikan, Alaska, schools. Her more recent projects included researching and writing a book on nutrition and designing and making stained glass windows.
Reading more than one book a week made her a well-informed, interesting and eager conversationalist.
She is survived by sons Gerald A. Sublett and wife Kathy of Redding, Calif., and Robert E. Sublett of Sarasota; brother Theodore (Ted) Morris and wife Luella of Winlock, Wash.; sisters Sylvia Olson of Albany, Ore., Esther De Voss of Loveland, and Blanche (Bobbi) Ackerman of Olney Springs, Colo.; sisters-in-law Jean Morris of Kenai, Alaska, Christine Sublett of Woodland, Wash., Ruth Chapman, Rita Morris of Prairie City, Ore., and Wilma Morris of Cody, Wyo.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by one son, Riley Dean Sublett; brothers Byron, Lloyd, Craig and Earl Morris; and sister Mildred Mae Brown.
Cremation has been conducted. Memorial services will be held Saturday in Lebanon, Ore.

WETZLER:
Victoria A. Wetzler of Fort Collins. Recitation of rosary, 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16; Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m. Monday, at Blessed John XXIII University Center. Interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Victoria Aurora Wetzler, 60, of Fort Collins died Feb. 12, 2004, in Fort Collins.
She was born March 16, 1943, in Johnstown, to Vincent and Josephine Aguilar Velasquez. She married Marion Wetzler on April 7, 1971, in Fort Collins.
Mrs. Wetzler was very active in prayer groups. She liked to sing, go fishing, play darts and go to the movies.
She loved her children and grandchildren, quilting and puzzles. She loved her dog, Cricket, and was well cared for by her daughter, Miranda.
She is survived by her husband, Marion “Fred” Wetzler of Fort Collins; seven sons, James Martinez (Darla) of Loveland, William “Willie” Martinez (Mary) of Loveland, Leonard Wetzler of Fort Collins, Leno Wetzler of Loveland, Christopher Wetzler (Tammy) of Loveland, Marion Wetzler Jr. (Bernadine) of Fort Collins, and Kelly Woods of Fort Collins, and stepson Ronald Fredrick Wetzler of Canastota, N.Y.; four daughters, Beverly Carter (Evan) of Loveland, Billie Jo Wetzler of Loveland, Jennifer Wetzler of Fort Collins, and Miranda Wetzler (Daniel) of Fort Collins; her mother, Josephine Velasquez of Loveland; six sisters, Julia Gonzales of Loveland, Sandra Trinidad of Brighton, Sylvia Lukenbach of Windsor, Martha Valencia of Greeley, Stephanie Velasquez of Loveland, and Jackie Hodge of Loveland; three brothers, Vincent Velasquez of Greeley, Sal Velasquez of Eaton, and David Velasquez of Denver; 22 grandchildren and one great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vincent Velasquez, brothers, Steven Velasquez and Robert Velasquez, and stepson, Dewey Larry Wetzler.
There will be private family visitation.
Recitation of the rosary will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at John XXIII University Chapel, 1220 University Ave., Fort Collins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at John XXIII University Chapel in Fort Collins.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens north of Loveland following the services.

BENDER:
Elizabeth K. Bender of Loveland. Widow of Adam Bender. Funeral service 3 p.m. today, Saturday, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, with Pastor Forest Saylor officiating. Viewing one hour prior to service. Interment in WaKeeney, Kan., next Monday, June 14, 2004, at 2 p.m.
Elizabeth Katherine Bender, 94, of Loveland, Colo., died Thursday, June 10, 2004.
She was born March 18, 1910, in WaKeeney, Kan., to Peter and Mary Wolf Mai. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, a country church, south of WaKeeney, Kan.
On May 3, 1931, she was united in marriage with Adam Bender in the same church. They farmed for many years in the WaKeeney and Collyer, Kan., area. Beginning in 1963, they semi-retired to Greeley, Colo., and in 1970 they moved to Loveland, Colo. In 1973, they ceased their farming operation and became full-time Loveland residents. He preceded her in death in 1991, after 66 years of marriage.
Elizabeth was an accomplished seamstress and cook. She was a volunteer at the Trego County Hospital in WaKeeney. She was an assisted-living resident at Loveland Good Samaritan Retirement Village the past three years and she enjoyed playing bingo there.
Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Gaylene Deines and her husband Karl of Loveland and Kingwood, Texas; one grandson, Merlin Dietz and wife Kathy of Loveland; one granddaughter, Marla Dietz of Kingwood, Texas; one great-granddaughter, Kara Dietz, three great-grandsons, John Dietz, Kyle Dietz and Grant Dietz.
One sister, Hulda Bloom and husband Walter of West Sacramento, Calif., and Yuma, Ariz.; one sister-in-law, Marie Kreger of Dodge City, Kan.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam, a son-in-law, Melvin Dietz, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. today, Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel. Viewing will be one hour prior to service.
Public viewing at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney, Kan., from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 14, 2004.
Graveside service will be held at WaKeeney Cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Jon Anderson officiating.
The family remembrance gifts to be donated to International Essential Tremor Foundation, P.O. Box 14005, Lenexa, KS 66285-4005, or Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 338 N. Seventh St., WaKeeney, KS 67672-1922.
Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

BIGGS:
Jo Charlene Biggs, 80, of Longmont died June 5, 2004, at HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties Care Center in Louisville following a long battle with cancer.
She was the mother of Loveland residents Ronnie Biggs and wife Velma and daughter Patricia Allen. She also is survived by several other relatives.
Mrs. Biggs was born May 6, 1924, in Council Grove, Kan., to Carter and Josephine (Acton) Dacy. She moved to Boulder when she was 12 years old and graduated from Boulder High School in 1943.
She married Donald O. Biggs on Dec. 22, 1941, in Boulder.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. today at Howe Mortuary, Longmont, the Rev. Julie Parmenter officiating.
Memorials may be made to HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties, 2594 Trailridge Drive East, Lafayette, 80026.

DEEDS:
Darrell Deeds of Fort Collins, formerly of Loveland. Husband of Sandy Deeds. Memorial service 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at First United Methodist Church, Loveland, with the Rev. Olon Lindenmood officiating. Memorial contributions to McKee Medical Cancer Center in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
Darrell M. Deeds, 69, of Fort Collins and formerly of Loveland died June 10, 2004, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born in Loveland on April 7, 1935, to David M. and Susan E. Moore Deeds. The family moved to Kimball, Neb., in 1947, and he graduated from Kimball High School. He served in the U.S. Army following high school.
Mr. Deeds was a salesman for Goodyear Tire Co. for 13 years in San Diego, Calif., then was manager of the auto service department with Montgomery Ward in Billings, Mont. He moved to Loveland in 1971 and worked for Goodyear Tire Center, then worked in construction for John McKeown Construction Co., then worked in Fort Collins, retiring after 20 years with Gracon as shop superintendent. He had been employed as a real estate agent for Keller Williams for the past two years.
He married Sandy Shock-Danklefsen on Oct. 27, 1971, in Loveland. He enjoyed restoring old cars.
He is survived by two sons, Douglas Deeds of Montana and Bryan Deeds of Fort Collins; three daughters, Dorothy Stoltz of Montana, Donna Huckby and husband Les of Florida and Diane Downing and husband Lance of Wyoming; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Minora Stotts of Loveland; mother-in-law Donna Todd of Billings; father-in-law Sterling and wife Donna Shock of Billings; and several nieces.
He was preceded in death by brothers D. James, Roy and Art Deeds; and sisters Opal Schroeder, Emily Shehorn, Darlene Geist and Alice Maxfield.
Cremation has been conducted.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Sixth and Grant, with the Rev. Olon Lindemood officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to McKee Medical Center’s Cancer Center.
Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home handled arrangements.

FOEMMEL:
Doris E. Foemmel, 83, former Loveland resident, died June 4, 2004, at her home in Mesa, Ariz.
She was born on Oct. 27, 1920, in Wisconsin and received her education there. She married Raymond H. Foemmel of Granton, Wis., on May 2, 1942. She was a homemaker, and together they operated their dairy farm until retirement in 1972.
They moved to Loveland in 1991 to be near their daughters. They remained here until relocating to Arizona in 2002.
She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Loveland, where she actively enjoyed the Keen-ager group.
She enjoyed her family, reading, writing in her journals, fancy work, and especially her life’s history of family photographs.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; three daughters, Joyce Elaine Rose and JoyAnn Gold, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Janice Mesar and husband Jim of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2004, at the Good Shepherd Villa Chapel, 5848 E. University Drive, Mesa, Ariz.
Cremation will be conducted. The ashes will be returned to Wisconsin at a later date.

HOFFMAN:
Rowan “Rolly” Hoffman of Loveland. Graveside services 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15 at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Services to be conducted by family members. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions to Rowan Hoffman fund in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home and Crematory.
Rowan “Rolly” Hoffman of Loveland, died June 11, 2004, at Sierra Vista Healthcare Center.
He was born June 17, 1926, in Loveland to Jacob and Esther Sitzman Hoffman.
He attended school in Loveland and graduated from Loveland High School with the class of 1944.
He farmed just east of Loveland for many years where Boyd Lake State Park in now located.
Later in life, he became a master electrician for Colorado State University, retiring from there in 1980.
In his spare time, he enjoyed playing his musical instruments. He was gifted in playing keyboard, guitar and violin.
He is survived by his beloved wife and lifelong friend, Donna Hoffman of Fort Collins.
He is also survived by daughter, Cindi Montano and husband John of Loveland; sister Gladys Amen and husband Charles of Loveland; grandchildren,
Jennifer Alexander and fiance Tim Fenske of Fort Collins, Tolan Slentz of Lakeland, Fla., Monica Meiu and husband Zac of Greeley and Denna Jo Slentz of Loveland; great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn and Kody Alexander of Fort Collins,
Dominik Meiu of Greeley, and Alexis, Kaylee and Brianna.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven, in May 2003, and by two infant daughters.
Graveside services conducted by family members will take place 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Victory section.
Cremation has taken place.

KRIEN:
Otto Krien of Loveland. Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday, Jun 11 at Loveland Seventh-day Adventist Church, 10th and Cleveland. Interment Loveland Burial Park with full military honors. Memorials to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Viegut Funeral Home.
Otto Krien, 85, of Loveland died June 8, 2004, at the Hospice Care Center at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born Jan. 20, 1919, in St. Francis, Kan., to Thobald and Dora Feikert Krien. He grew up farming in St. Francis. He married Golda Spiker on Nov. 26, 1938, in St. Francis.
He got into construction work in 1945, going into masonry. He started masonry work in Loveland in 1963 and worked for more than 35 years. He retired last year at the age of 84.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 during World War II. He was stationed in Italy.
He moved to Loveland in 1963. The family traveled a lot.
He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Fort Collins.
He enjoyed horses and livestock through the years and liked brickwork.
He is survived by his wife, Golda Krien of Loveland; a son, Jim Krien of Loveland; a stepson, Adrian Brower and wife Sandy of Nashville, Tenn.; three daughters, Barbara Lamblin and husband Almond of Van Buren, Ark., Peggy Grenert of South Bend, Ind., and Carolyn Brewer of Cheyenne; three brothers, Bill Krien of St. Francis, Oscar Krien of Brush, and Paul Krien of LaPorte; a sister, Edna Byerly of Loveland; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
Viewing will be 5-8 p.m. today at Viegut Funeral Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Loveland Seventh-day Adventist Church, 950 N. Cleveland Ave.
Burial will be in Loveland Burial Park with full military honors. Pastor Albert Will-iams will officiate.

LEACH:
Charles R. Leach Jr. of Loveland. Husband of Edith. Memorial service 2 p.m. Monday, June 14, at Campion Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Pastor Barry Taylor officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Charles Robert Leach Jr., 89, of Loveland died June 9, 2004, at McKee Medical Center’s Hospice Care Unit in Loveland.
He was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Wappinger, N.Y., to Charles Robert Leach Sr. and Elizabeth Houghtaling Leach.
He married Edith Beadle on July 2, 1939, in New York.
Mr. Leach worked as a system operator for the Orange and Rockland Light and Power Co. in Middletown, N.Y., retiring in 1973.
He moved to Loveland in 1997 from New Port Richey, Fla.
He was a member of the Campion Seventh-day Adventist Church since 1997. He enjoyed being a ham radio operator, pursuing photography and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Leach is survived by his wife, Edith Beadle Leach; a sister, Alma Shelton of Vermont; grandsons Jason Sink of Tennessee and Todd Leach of Austin, Texas; granddaughters Holly Gonzales and husband Armando of Loveland, and Lynda Leach of Orlando, Fla; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three children: Barbara, Bob and Sue Leach.
Cremation has been conducted. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Campion Seventh-day Adventist Church, 300 S.W. 42nd St., with Pastor Barry Taylor officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, Colo. 80537.
