SNYDER:
Lloyd W. Snyder of Longmont, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at Balfour Retirement Community in Louisville. He was 91.
He was born July 1, 1913, in Fremont, Neb., to George Henry and Ruth Alta (Emerson) Snyder.
He married Elsie Snyder in Cheyenne, Wyo., Jan. 28, 1939, in a joint ceremony with his sister, Dorothy and Joel Anderson.
He worked as a machinist for several companies in Denver and retired from the Ford Motor Co. regional parts distribution center in north Denver, where he was in charge of facility maintenance.
He lived in South Denver until he retired, when he and his wife built a home in Horseshoe Park, near Berthoud. They lived there for 10 years until they moved to Longmont.
Lloyd and Elsie owned a cabin in Sphinx Park near Bailey that was very important to them. They spent every vacation and available weekend at the cabin, where they enjoyed fishing and square dancing in the local community. They carried their love of square dancing with them until they were no longer able to continue dancing. They visited square dancing clubs everywhere they went, collecting pins from each club.
In retirement, Lloyd restored antique furniture and cars. He was particularly proud of his 1938 Cadillac LaSalle, and frequently drove that car in parades and old car rallies. He and Elsie traveled widely and often drove their motor home to places in Colorado where they could camp and fish.
Lloyd is survived by son Neil and wife Shari of Loveland; granddaughter Tawnya Snyder of Westminster; grandson Linc Snyder, and his family of Longmont, and several nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie, who died Nov. 10, 2004, his parents and one sister.
Celebration of life funeral services will be held for Lloyd and Elsie at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Lifebridge Christian Church in Longmont. Visitation will be noon until service time Tuesday. Interment to follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.

STEPHENS:
A memorial gathering and potluck supper for William George Stephens, 66, of Silver City, N.M., who died Oct. 10, 2004, will be held Monday. The gathering will be 3-7 p.m. at the 4-H Building at Island Grove Park, 501 N. 14th Ave., Greeley. Friends are asked to bring a covered dish. YOST:
Charles Yost of Loveland. Cremation will take place. Private family services will be held.
Charles B. “Bill” Yost, 78, of Loveland, died Nov. 13, 2004, in McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born July 5, 1926, in Harvard, Neb., to Robert P. and Ellen Amelia Krug Yost. He graduated from Harvard High School in Harvard, Neb., in 1944, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1956.
He married Ila Beth Earl in 1953. She preceded him in death in 1975. He later married Janet L. Lundin in 1979 in Hardington, Neb.
He worked in soil conservation for the U.S. Department of Agriculture until his retirement in 1988 in Los Banos, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He lived in Los Banos, Calif., and the Wakefield, Neb., area prior to moving to Oceanside, Calif. He has lived in Loveland for one year.
He was a past member of the Wakefield, Neb., Lions Club and the Carlsbad Choraleers in Carlsbad, Calif.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oceanside and previously a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Wakefield.
He enjoyed photography, reading, walking, sailing and playing guitar and singing.
He is survived by his wife, Janet L. Yost of Loveland; two sons, Craig Yost of Los Angeles, and Brad Yost of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Deborah Yost of San Diego, Calif.; stepson, Peter Lundin and wife Sandra of Minneapolis; two stepdaughters, Suzanne Elliott and husband Jeffrey of Minneapolis, and Mary Jo Becker and husband Brian of Denver; two brothers, Gary Yost and wife Eileen of Holdrege, Neb., and Robert Yost and wife Harriet of Elwood, Neb.; three sisters, Ruth Scheele of Lebanon, Ore., Dorothy Bruntz of Hastings, Neb., and Bonna Lee Casey and husband Jim of Lincoln, Neb.; five grandchildren.
Cremation will take place with private family services to be held.

BLOOMBERG:
Carolyn Beth Bloomberg, 57, of Fort Collins, died Nov. 24, 2004, at Poudre Valley Hospital after a two-year struggle with breast cancer.
She was born Aug. 13, 1947, to William and Esther Avery in The Dalles, Ore. She grew up in Hutchinson, Kan., and graduated from Wesley School of Nursing in Wichita. On Aug. 17, 1968, Carolyn married John Bloomberg in the Chapel at Wichita State University.
During their 36-year marriage, Carolyn and John lived in seven different states, including four years in Fairborn, Ohio, where their two children were born, and 12 years in Champaign, Illinois where their children grew up.
During all of these years, Carolyn worked as a registered nurse in various hospitals, nursing homes and home health agencies. Since moving to Fort Collins 15 years ago, Carolyn worked as a home health nurse at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, and most recently as the night nursing supervisor at Good Samaritan Retirement Village in Fort Collins.
Carolyn was a member of Faith Evangelical Free Church, and the church’s White Cross Sewing Group. She loved the outdoors and led an active life.
Her first love in life was horses. She especially enjoyed hiking, camping, picnicking, skiing and motorcycle touring with her husband in the mountains.
Carolyn was a very giving person. She liked to quilt, cook, paint, knit, crochet and garden; and to give her creations as gifts to others. Most recently, even while confined to her home, she made stuffed bears for children in Israel, small animal quilts for abused children locally, and baby quilts for her new granddaughter and future grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Jeanne Bloomberg of Sterling, Va.; son, Jay M. Archer of Westminster; her father, Bill Avery of Good Samaritan Village; sister, Becky Avery of Springfield, Ill.; and a 2-month-old granddaughter, Morgan Leigh Archer. Her brother, Keith Avery, and her mother, Esther, preceded Carolyn in death.
Viewing will be 9-10 a.m. today at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 3920 S. Shields, Fort Collins. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at the church, followed by interment in Roselawn Cemetery.
The family requests that any memorial donations be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in care of Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Drive, Suite E, Fort Collins, 80524.

DONOVAN:
Joan E. Donovan, 61, of Fort Collins died Nov. 23, 2004, in Fort Collins.
She was born April 17, 1943, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Edward A. and Florence Palkowski Wos. She graduated in 1961 from St. Mary’s Academy in Buffalo. She attended Erie County Tech in Buffalo.
She married Robert C. Donovan on Sept. 12, 1964, in Buffalo.
Mrs. Donovan worked part time at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins as a ward clerk in the early ’80s. She was a stay-at-home mom and provided foster care for the Larimer Humane Society.
She attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fort Collins. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was an animal lover and also enjoyed camping, boating and bike riding.
Mrs. Donovan is survived by her husband, Robert Donovan of Fort Collins; three sons, Robert J. Donovan of Fort Collins, Scott and wife Sandra Donovan of Loveland, and Brian and wife Kimberly Donovan of Fort Collins; a brother, Dr. Edward Wos of Bismarck, N.D.; and four grandchildren, Keaton and Kolby of Loveland, and Cody and Caden of Fort Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fort Collins. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens north of Loveland following the church service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children’s Hospital Oncology Department or to the Larimer Humane Society in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 100 E. County Road 30, Fort Collins, CO 80525.

HAYES:
Orville “Fred” Hayes, 69, of Loveland. Husband of Theresa M. “Terry” Hayes. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, December 3 at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home. Viewing following the service on Friday. Memorial contributions to Hospice of Larimer County.
Orville “Fred” Hayes, 69, of Loveland died Nov. 29, 2004, at Hospice Care Unit at McKee Medical Center.
He was born April 24, 1935, in Loveland to Albert C. “Tom” and Lefa Mae Schaeffer Hayes and attended Loveland schools.
He married Theresa M. “Terry” Hyatt on April 26, 1957, in Raton, N.M.
Mr. Hayes was a truck driver for Carl Schafer, hauling sand and gravel. In 1959 he went to work for George Fancher, who owned Loveland Ready Mix, as a heavy equipment operator. After he retired in 1997 he and his wife traveled, returning to Loveland in 1999.
He loved to hunt, fish, play bingo and visit the Indian reservations in Albuquerque, N.M. He loved talking with his grandchildren about the time periods.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Hayes of Loveland; son Fred A. Hayes and wife Melody of Loveland; daughter Nita M. Fort and husband Larry of Fort Collins; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert James “Bob” Hayes, Aug. 25, 1973; a grandson, Kenny Delaine Fort, May 25, 1976; and a sister, Lola Moore, Sept. 27, 2004.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Larimer County.

MILLER:
Allen Eugene Miller of Loveland. Private cremation has been completed. No services scheduled.
Allen Eugene Miller, 41, of Loveland died Nov. 28, 2004, at McKee Medical Center.
He was born June 18, 1963, in Denver to Eugene L. Miller and Linda Sue Hendershot-Kew. He attended schools in the Thornton area.
Mr. Miller worked as an automobile mechanic. He moved to Loveland 31/2 years ago.
He is survived by his parents, Gene L. Miller of Brighton and Linda Sue Penna of Loveland; and a sister, Aleta Jeanne Pickens of Topsham, Maine.
Cremation services have been completed by Viegut Funeral Home.

RAINWATER:
Jimmy Rainwater, 48, of Loveland, died Nov. 26, 2004, in Fort Collins.
He was born Jan. 14, 1956, in Hampton, Va., to Estel and Janice McNelley Rainwater. He attended schools in West Virginia, Texas and Wyoming. He married Nancy Hausler in 1976 in Cheyenne, Wyo.
He was a good husband and father. He loved his grandchildren, the mountains, fishing and NASCAR. He also liked long drives and to travel.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Rainwater of Loveland; six sons, Robert and Crystal Rainwater of Fort Collins, Ryan and Jamie Rainwater of Windsor, Donovan Rainwater, Derik Rainwater, Christian Rainwater and Jonathan and Wadioni Rainwater, all of Fort Collins; parents, Estel and Janice Rainwater of Cheyenne; five brothers, Jerry Rainwater, Mike and Crystal Rainwater, Mark Rainwater and Adam Rainwater, all of Cheyenne, and Randy Rainwater of Clackamas, Ore.; a sister, Karen and Ruben Diaz of North Platte, Neb.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jimi Rainwater.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m, Wednesday, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. U.S. 287, Fort Collins.
Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the service at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

RANDLEMAN:
Marvin Randleman of Loveland.Cremation has been conducted. Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, December 4 at Loveland Good Samaritan Spiritual Life Center. Memorial contributions to Loveland Good Samaritan Village or Hospice of Larimer County.
Marvin Darrell Randleman, 84, of Loveland died of Parkinson’s disease Nov. 25, 2004, at the Hospice Unit at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born Jan. 8, 1920, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Rex D. and Effie Helen Bullen Randleman.
He married Elea-nor Mae Simpson on Nov. 18, 1940, in Des Moines. She preceded him in death in 1992.
He served in the Army Air Forces Airborne Signal Corps 1943-1946.
Mr. Randleman owned and operated the Ben Franklin Store in Cañon City, Colo., for 38 years, retiring in 1988. He moved to Loveland in 1998 from Ellenton, Fla.
He was a member of the Elks Club (past Exalted Ruler) and was a Life Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.
He was chairman of Cañon City March of Dimes, a Meals on Wheels volunteer, a 10-gallon blood donor, an avid stamp collector and a volunteer for the Bible Alliance in Florida, which makes Bible cassette tapes for the blind. He was a participant in Loveland’s Alzheimer’s Memory Walk and an avid Broncos fan. He had visited all 50 states.
He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Ellenton.
He is survived by son Ron D. Randleman and wife Pam of Cañon City; daughter Sandy Reynolds and husband Chuck of Loveland; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor, in 1992 and a sister, Delores Surber, in 2001.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Loveland Good Samaritan Village Spiritual Life Center, with the Rev. George Huber officiating. Cremation has been conducted.
Memorial contributions can be made to Loveland Good Samaritan Village or Hospice of Larimer County.
Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home handled arrangements.

STEVENS:
Daniel George Stevens, son of John William Stevens and Marietta Rose (Scott) Stevens passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, in Prescott, Ariz. He was 42 years old.
Daniel was born Feb. 17, 1962, in Batavia, N.Y. In New York he attended school in Pavilion and LeRoy before moving to Arizona in 1976.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Marietta Stevens and stepfather Roland “Bud” Bower of Loveland; father John Stevens of Laguna Hills, Calif.; brothers Michael (Katherine) Stevens of Mayer, Ariz., Tom (Kaylene) Stevens of Vista, Calif., and Tim Stevens of San Francisco, Calif.; and grandmother Isabel Scott Maders of Mayer, Ariz. (former resident of LeRoy, N.Y.)
A celebration of Daniel’s life was held Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott, Ariz.
Private cremation by the Wakelin Bradshaw Crematory, Prescott Valley, Ariz.
Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
