Camille E. DiGirolamo, a longtime Stamford resident, died Sunday, June 27, at King Street Nursing Home in Rye Brook, N.Y. She was 91. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Feb. 17, 1913, in the Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Cafforelli Mita. Mrs. DiGirolamo had lived in Stamford since 1968. She had worked as a medical secretary for Greenwich Hospital for 30 years before retirement. She was a member of AARP and volunteered for COPE in Greenwich and the American Cancer Society. She was a member of St. Maurice Church in Stamford. She is survived by a daughter, Laura Simoes of Stattsberg, N.Y.; a son, Anthony P. DiGirolamo of Stamford; a sister, Viola Caruso of Twin Mountain, N.H.; a son-in-law; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony J. DiGirolamo; and a daughter, Camille Punzi. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A procession will depart the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, July 1, for St. Maurice Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Raymond's cemeteryin the Bronx.

Irving M. Disraelly

Irving M. Disraelly of Margate, Fla., died Friday, Jan. 9, at Florida Medical Center in Lauderhill, Fla. He was 95. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born Aug. 12, 1908, in Lawrence, Mass., he was the son of the late Hillel and Stella Disraelly. Mr. Disraelly graduated from Brown University in 1930. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II, retiring as a lieutenant on Dec. 25, 1945. He entered a training program at Shepherd Co. in Providence, R.I., and later moved to Binghamton, N.Y., to become a manager at McLean's department store. He was a charter member and secretary of the Brown Club of Broome County, N.Y. In 1964, he moved to Utica, N.Y., to work as a manager at The Boston Store. Ten years later, he and his wife retired to Tamarac, Fla., where he served one term as commissioner of the Planning Board and was elected twice to the Tamarac City Council. He moved to Margate last year. Mr. Disraelly was a past master of the Masonic Lodge of Binghamton, N.Y., and active in the Hillel Council of Florida. He is survived by a son, Hillel Disraelly of Stamford; and two grandchildren. Mr. Disraelly was predeceased by his wife, Yvette Brenner Disraelly. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 12, at Star of David Funeral Home, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, Fla. Burial will follow in Star of David cemeteryin North Lauderdale.

Teretta Dixon, a longtime Stamford resident and member of St. John's Episcopal Church, died Sunday, Aug. 18, at Stamford Hospital. She was 70. She died from cancer, according to her family. Born July 23, 1932, in Demopolis, Ala., she was a daughter of the late James and Lena Brock Dixon. She worked at Pitney Bowes for 28 years as a renewal biller before retiring. At St. John's, she was a member of the church flower guild. She also was a member of the Elks, Phyllis Wheatley Temple No. 19 in Stamford. Ms. Dixon is survived by two daughters, Jackie Dixon of Stamford and Denise Dixon of Waterbury; a son, Charles Dixon of Stamford; a nephew who she raised as a son, James Dixon of Stamford; a sister, Mary Alice Hunter of Middletown; many nieces and nephews and a grand niece. She was predeceased by a sister, Eunice Davis. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Homes, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at St. John's Church, 628 Main St., Stamford. Burial will follow in Spring Grove cemeteryin Darien. Stanley Richard Dmochowski, a lifelong Stamford resident and former city employee, died Friday, July 11, at the Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence. He was 81. He died of cancer, according to his family. Born April 22, 1922, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Frank and Blanche Ciesielski Dmochowski. Mr. Dmochowski grew up in the South End of Stamford. He attended Holy Name School and graduated from Stamford High School in 1939. During World War II he served in the 882nd Signal Corps attached to the Army Air Corps, attaining the rank of tech sergeant. He was stationed in Australia and the Philippines. Mr. Dmochowski worked for the city of Stamford as sealer of weights and measures and later as an inspector with the Health Department, retiring in 1980. He is survived by his wife, Olive Cooper Dmochowski of Stamford; a son, Richard Dmochowski of Fairfield; a daughter, Diane Pittman of Alpharetta, Ga.; two sisters, Helen Dmochowski and Charlotte Jachimczyk, both of Stamford; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three generations of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Lucian Dmochowski. Services and burial will be private. Bosak Funeral Home, 9 Pulaski St., Stamford, is handling arrangements. Frances Hogan Dobbs of Plainville, a retired music teacher, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Plainville Health Care Center. She was 92. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Aug. 20, 1910, in Starkville, Miss., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Sage Hogan. Mrs. Dobbs received a bachelor's degree in music from Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, Miss. She went on to teach piano wherever she lived. She was a Stamford resident from 1990 to 1998. She was a lifelong supporter, performer and pianist with the Gulfport Opera Company in Biloxi, Miss. She was a member of the Schubert Club of Fairfield County. She is survived by two sons, William A. Dobbs Jr. of East Berlin and Frank H. Dobbs of Fontana, Wisc.; a daughter, Catherine Dobbs of Sandy Hook; a brother, Alex Hogan of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Dr. Mary Hogan of Jackson and Daisy Hogan Briscoe of Kosciusko, Miss.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Dobbs. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at Bouton & Reynolds Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. Julia Mary Dolan of New Canaan, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec. 15 at Norwalk Hospital. She was 85. She died of a stroke, according to her family. Born May 17, 1917 in Brownsgrove Tuam, County Galway, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget Joyce. Mrs. Dolan lived in Hawthorne, N.Y., before moving to New Canaan. She is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Dolan of New Canaan; a son, Kevin Thomas Dolan of Los Alamitos, Calif.; a daughter, Colleen Dolan Baldwin of New Canaan; a brother, Thomas "Sonny" Joyce of Manchester, England; a sister, Margaret Kelly of Mt. Hood, N.J.; and five grandchildren. Calling hours will be 4 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the F. Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan. Albert F. Dolcetti, a lifelong Darien resident and retired automobile service manager, died Sunday, Oct. 20, at Stamford Hospital. He was 73. He died of prostate cancer, according to his family. Born Sept. 5, 1929, in Darien, he was a son of the late Rosa and Daniel Dolcetti. Mr. Dolcetti attended Darien Public Schools and graduated from Darien High School and J.M. Wright Technical School in Stamford. He began his career in 1949 working at Emil R. Karl Chevrolet in Darien. He later served in the U.S. Army in Yokohama, Japan, during the Korean War. As part of his Army service, he was assigned to Tokyo Engineering Works in Tokyo. Upon his discharge, Mr. Dolcetti worked as a service manager for H&L Chevrolet in Darien, Pelletteri Chevrolet in Norwalk and Michael Chevrolet in Greenwich. He retired in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Jane Greaney Dolcetti; two daughters, Patricia Clements of Stamford and Deborah Kutyreff of Jakarta, Indonesia; two brothers, Phillip Dolcetti and Victor Dolcetti, both of Darien; three grandchildren; and a large extended family. Phillip A. Dolcetti
Phillip A. Dolcetti, a longtime Darien resident and former Yale & Towne employee, died Saturday, May 31, at his home. He was 89. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born Sept. 1, 1913, in Rose, Italy, he was a son of the late Daniel and Rosa Covello Dolcetti. Mr. Dolcetti lived in Darien since 1925. He attended schools in Italy and later he attended Darien public schools and vocational school in Stamford. He worked for about 20 years as a foreman and machinist at Yale & Towne, formerly in Stamford. He went on to work for 25 years as head custodian at the Tokeneke School in Darien. He was a principal officer of Dolcetti, Inc., a family-run private real estate holding in Darien. An avid gardener, Mr. Dolcetti began beautifying the Nielsen estate, formerly in Darien, after his retirement. Much of his work still blooms at the family property at 971 Post Road in Darien. He was a member of St. John Church in Darien. Mr. Dolcetti is survived by two sons, Daniel Dolcetti and Phillip Dolcetti, both of Darien; a brother, Victor Dolcetti of Darien; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Buccieri Dolcetti; and a brother, Albert Dolcetti. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. Stanley Mark Dombroski, a lifelong Stamford resident and retired plant engineer, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Stamford Hospital. He was 79. He died of complications from hip replacement surgery, according to his family. Born May 22, 1924, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Joseph and Sabina Poltrack Dombroski. Mr. Dombroski attended Holy Name of Jesus School in Stamford, Stamford High School and Columbia University. He as an apprentice tool and die maker at Yale & Towne, formerly in Stamford. He later received an associate's degree from Bridgeport School of Engineering. He worked for Schick shavers, AMF, Barnes Engineering, all of Stamford, Burndy Corp. in Norwalk and Sperry Rand Corp. in Danbury. He went on to work as an engineer for the city of Stamford's Pumping Station and Treatment Plant for 20 years, retiring as plant manager 12 years ago. Mr. Dombroski was a communicant and member of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Stamford, where he served as a Eucharistic minister. He sang in the church choir for more than 30 years. An avid gardener, he also enjoyed boating on Long Island Sound. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Zalenski Dombroski of Stamford; two sons, Mark Oaks of Stamford and Matthew Dombroski of Lancaster, Mass.; a brother, Edward Dombroski of Stamford; two sisters, Florence Haussherr of Sherman and Loretta Kondziela of Stamford; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Bernard Dombrowski; and a sister, Josephine Dombroski. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 369 Washington Blvd., Stamford, with the Rev. David Okurowski officiating. Burial will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford. William Samuel Donohue of Greenwich died Saturday, Dec. 15, at Greenwich Hospital. He was 75. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born Oct. 3, 1926, in Rye, N.Y., he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary Balls Donohue. Mr. Donohue was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed photographer. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Aquilano Donohue of Greenwich; a stepdaughter, Susan Louise Buck of Orlando, Fla.; two stepsons, Louis G. Skorvanek of Greenwich and Mark S. Skorvanek of Palm Bay, Fla.; and four grandchildren and a great-grandson. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich. Interment will be private.

Mary E. Doorley, a Norwalk resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Norwalk Hospital. She was 48. She died of a cancer-related illness, according to her family. Born April 28, 1954, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret Ryan. Mrs. Doorley was a Norwalk resident for the past 13 years. She was an office manager with MedTech Labs, formerly of Norwalk. She is survived by her husband, James J. Doorley of Norwalk; two sisters, Margaret Ryan of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Alice Ryan Pendergast of Crystal River, Fla.; a niece; and two nephews. Phyllis Doreen Taylor Bruno of Melbourne Beach, Fla., a retired nurse, died Monday, Aug. 4 at Alterra Clare Bridge in West Melbourne, Fla. She was 81. She died of complications from Alzheimer's disease, according to her family. Born June 3, 1922, in London, Ontario, Canada, she was the the daughter of the late Dr. Harold Taylor and Ruth Taylor. Mrs. Bruno graduated from the nursing program at the University of Guelph in Ontario. In 1950, she moved to Stamford, where she joined the nursing staff at Stamford Hospital. She worked there as a registered nurse until she retired in 1988. She is survived by her husband, Mario Bruno of Merritt Island, Fla.; a son, Richard Bruno of Merritt Island; and two grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 in the Garden Chapel of the Congregational Church of New Canaan, 23 Park Place. Jo-Ann Simms Dorsey of Stratford, a former Stamford resident, died Thursday, Sept. 18, at Bridgeport Hospital. She was 56. She died of cancer, according to her family. Born June 1, 1947 in Wilson, N.C., she was a daughter of Roberta Bullock Simms of Whitakers, N.C. and the late Charlie Simms. Mrs. Dorsey lived in Stamford for about 20 years before moving to Stratford in 1985. She worked as a computer specialist at Pitney Bowes in Stamford for about 25 years. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Douglas L. Dorsey of Stratford; a son, Robin Dorsey of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter, Linda Simms of Copiague, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Wondreda Dorsey of Norwalk; five sisters, Leonza Snell and Joyce Crockett, both of Amityville, N.Y., Katrina Legette of Whitakers, N.C., Carol Simms Poole of Maryland and Terry Simms of Fountain, N.C.; three brothers, Charles Simms and Robert Simms, both of Maryland, and Cadoza Simms of Amityville; and three grandchildren. Thomasina S. D'Orso, a homemaker and lifelong Stamford resident, died Saturday, Aug. 2 at Stamford Hospital. She was 82. She died of cardiac arrest, according to her family. Born Dec. 25, 1920 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lucia Ginicola Conetta. Mrs. D'Orso is survived by a daughter, Annette D'Orso of Stamford; a brother, Anthony Conetta of Stamford; two sisters, Phil Florenza and Nancy Conforti, both of Stamford; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. D'Orso was predeceased by her husband, Frank D'Orso; three brothers, Trip Conetta, Joseph Conetta and Salvatore Conetta; and four sisters, Columbia Pezzimenti, Sylvia Lucia, Louise Kozak and Annette LoRusso. May Esson Dowie, a Darien resident since 1940, died Thursday, Oct. 31 at Mediplex of Darien. She was 107. She died of natural causes, according to a friend. Born, May 2, 1895 in Leven, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Blyth Dowie. Miss Dowie was a member of the Noroton Presbyterian Church, which she joined in 1947. She was a former member of the AARP and the local chapter of Daughters of the British Empire. She was a former volunteer at the Thrift Shop of the Darien Community Association. She is survived by a close friend, Evelyn Gallaer. A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Noroton Presbyterian Church, 2011 Post Road, Darien. The Rev. Susanne Dowler, a retired teacher and Stamford resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, at The Smith House in Stamford. She was 90. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born April 8, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Carlos and Clara Carlo Vitolo. Mrs. Dowler was a longtime resident of Sloatsburg, N.Y., and a retired teacher in the Ramapo School District in Rockland County, N.Y. She was co-founder of the Sloatsburg Public Library. She is survived by a daughter, Judith Rattner of Stamford; a brother, Frank Vitolo of Tumwater, Wash.; a sister, Margaret Nicolaides of Smithtown, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Dowler was predeceased by her husband, Arthur D. Dowler; and two brothers, Joseph Vitolo and Alfred Vitolo. Calling hours will be 10:30 to 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 3, at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 32 Eagle Valley Road, Sloatsburg, N.Y. David F. Downey, a former Stamford resident who worked for many years as a design engineer for Electrolux in Old Greenwich, died Saturday, Aug. 16, at Pope John Paul II Center for Health Care Inc. in Danbury. He was 89. He died of cancer, according to his family. Born March 30, 1914, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Mary O'Callahan Downey. As a young man, he excelled in sports and played semi-professional football. He also was an undergraduate boxing champion at Columbia University. Mr. Downey went on to work at Electrolux. According to his family, he held many patents, including the turret for the Sherman tank used during World War II, Philip Morris' snap-open cigarette pack and many vacuum-cleaner structural designs. In his later years, he served as the vice president of his family's wholesale jewelry company, Downey Creations, based in Indianapolis. He retired in 1974 to pursue other philanthropic and family interests. Mr. Downey is survived by his wife, Mildred Lord Downey of Darien; two sons, David G. Downey of Trafalgar, Ind., and Christopher Downey of Redding; three daughters, Patrice K. Passaro and Mary-Lee Shea, both of Redding, and Nancy Sheehan of East Greenwich, R.I.; a brother, John Downey of Stamford; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Downey and James Downey. There will be a private viewing and service from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. Burial will follow in St. John's cemeteryin Darien.

Joseph Dreher Sr. of Catonsville, Md., a former Pitney Bowes employee and Stamford resident, died Saturday, Sept. 6, at Forest Haven Nursing Home in Catonsville. He was 60. He died of complications from diabetes, according to his family. Born June 28, 1943, in Columbia, S.C., he was a son of the late Minnie Dreher. Mr. Dreher was raised in Columbia and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School there. In 1969, he moved to Stamford, where he worked for Pitney Bowes for a number of years before relocating to Baltimore. He was employed as a maintenance worker until he became ill, at which time he became a resident of Forest Haven Nursing Home. Mr. Dreher is survived by two daughters, Louise Denise May and Regina Vanessa Dreher, both of Bridgeport; three sons, Joseph Dreher Jr. of Stamford, and Tyrone McFadden and Joseph McFadden, both of Columbia; a stepson, Tommy Reddick of Bridgeport; a brother, Leroy Dreher of Columbia; a sister, Vivian Lyles of Silver Spring, Md.; his former wife, Anna R. Dreher of Bridgeport; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Jasper Dreher; and a sister, Anne Meyers. Services were Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Home in Baltimore.

Toby Dresdner, a Stamford resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the William and Sally Tandet Center for Continuing Care in Stamford. She was 63. She died of heart failure, according to her family. Born Feb. 18, 1939, in Stri, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Clara Rosenberg Teichman. Mrs. Dresdner was a Holocaust survivor. To escape the Nazis during World War II, her parents gave her to a Hungarian family who hid her. The family was reunited after the war. They immigrated to the United States in 1947. Mrs. Dresdner was a homemaker. For 10 years she helped her husband manage The Nosherye, a kosher restaurant at the Jewish Community Center, and did all the cooking there. She belonged to Hadassah and was active in the Agudath Sholom Sisterhood. She is survived by her husband, Rudy Dresdner of Stamford; a daughter, Pearl Zelma of New York City; a brother, Marty Teichman of Silver Spring, Md.; and two grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 5, at Congregation Agudath Sholom, 301 Strawberry Hill Ave., Stamford. Rabbi Mark Dratch and Cantor Arik Wollheim will officiate. Burial will follow in Beth Israel cemeteryin Woodbridge, N.J. Shiva will be observed at the Dresdner home beginning this evening. Jeffrey M. Dreyer of El Cajon, Calif., formerly of Stamford died Monday, Oct. 7, at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Calif. He was 40. He died of complications from pneumonia, according to his family. Born Oct. 27, 1962, in Schenectady, N.Y., he was a son of Isabel and George Dreyer of Stamford. Mr. Dreyer attended Stamford public schools and graduated from Westhill High School. He was also a graduate of Boston University. He was a disabled Navy veteran who served as an airman on an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Laurence Dreyer of New York City; and his wife, Margit Dreyer of Escondido, Calif. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Cobb Dreyer. Richard Allen Dube Sr. of Five Points, Tenn., a former Stamford resident, died Friday, July 18 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. He was 40. He died of a heart attack, according to his family. Born Oct. 7, 1962, in Stamford, he was a son of Susan Saunders Dube and Alfred Joseph Dube Sr. of Danbury. Mr. Dube worked as a mechanic and a body man for Reed's Truck and Trailer Repair in St. Joseph, Tenn. Before moving from Stamford to Five Points in 1994, he worked for 16 years at Frank Mercede & Sons Inc. in Stamford. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bryant Dube of Five Points; two sons, Richard Allen Dube Jr. and Christopher Patrick Dube, both of Five Points; a daughter, Dawn Lynn Dube of Five Points; two brothers, Alfred Joseph Dube Jr. and Brian Scott Dube Sr., both of Danbury; a sister, Pamela Lorraine Ryberg of Danbury; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 5 to 9 p.m. today, July 22, at Loretto Memorial Chapel, 110 N. Military St., Loretto, Tenn. A service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Watkins presiding. Burial will take place in Loretto Memorial Gardens in Loretto, Tenn.

Melvin Eric Dudley of Easton, Md., a former Stamford resident who worked as a cook, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Hospice Foundation Inc. in Easton. He was 42. He died of pneumonia, according to his family. Born Nov. 22, 1960, in Stamford, he was the son of Earl Thomas of and Catherine Dudley, both of Easton, Md. Mr. Dudley was baptized at Union Baptist Church in Stamford and sang in the church choir. He attended Stamford public schools. He moved to Maryland 25 years ago. He worked for 10 years as a cook at The Tidewater Inn, then at Yesteryears restaurant in Easton, Md. Mr. Dudley was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Easton, Md., where he was a choir member, a sergeant at arms and a monitor of dress. In addition to his parents, he is survived by five sisters, Bernice C. Elliott and Elaine M. Dudley, both of Stamford, Geraldine V. Williams of Richmond, Va., Betty B. Morgan of Philadelphia, and April L. Little of Waterbury; two brothers, Jason E. Dudley of Easton, Md., and Thomas E. Dudley Jr. of West Haven; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces; four great-nephews; three aunts; two uncles; and many cousins and close friends. Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., today, Oct. 13, at Union Baptist Church, 233 Glenwood Ave., Easton. Funeral services will follow at the church. Vincent Stanley Duffy, a Stamford resident, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Mediplex of Stamford. He was 86. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born Aug. 28, 1916, in Astoria, Queens, N.Y., he was the son of the late Francis William Duffy and Ellen McQuade Duffy. Mr. Duffy graduated from Fordham University in New York with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry in 1937. He built military barracks in Bermuda at the start of World War II. He later served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946 in Europe. During his 25-year tenure as vice president of the Babcock Engineering Co. in Greenwich, Mr. Duffy oversaw the financial management of numerous construction projects, including the renovation of the West Wing of the U.S. Capital and the construction of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. He was a communicant of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Stamford since 1965, where he served as a past parish trustee and past president of the Parish Council. He also volunteered with Boy Scouts of America Troops 8 and 73, both in Stamford. He is survived by two sons, Vincent Gerard Duffy of Waterford, N.Y., and Brendan Joseph Duffy of Georgetown, Mass.; two daughters, Sheila Mary Duffy of Stamford and Virginia Duffy Clare of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Frances Duffy Hunt of Southbury; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Duffy; and a sister, Virginia Duffy Hunt. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 403 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford. Burial will follow in Holy Mount Cemetery, 53 Winterhill Road, Tuckahoe, N.Y. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, is handling arrangements.
