Jean Mathilda Jackson Lewis of La Plata, Md., a retired electronic technician, died Friday, Nov. 7, at Civista Medical Center in La Plata. She was 79. She died of cardiac arrest, according to her family. Born April 8, 1924, in New Brunswick, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Charles G. and Pearl Keyes Jackson. Mrs. Lewis lived in Stamford for about 55 years. She attended the former Elm Street Elementary School, the former Burdick Junior High School and Stamford High School. She worked as an electronic technician for Transcience Electronic Co., formerly in Stamford, for about 10 years. She moved to La Plata in 1989. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and the Elks, Phyllis Wheatley Temple No. 179 in Stamford, from 1959 to 1989. An avid bowler, she also was a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress, with which she won bowling trophies from 1959 to 2001. She was a member of Mount Jezreel Baptist Church in Silver Spring, Md., from 1989 to 2001. She is survived by her son, Carl A. Lewis of La Plata; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, James G. Lewis Sr.; and two sons, James G. Rucker Sr. and James G. "Butch" Lewis Jr. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata. Burial will be private.

Hyman "Hy" Lichtzer, a former Stamford resident, died Saturday, Nov. 16, at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, Fla. He was 79. He died of heart and kidney failure, according to his family. Born Nov. 15, 1923 in New York City, he was the son of the late Oscar and Ethel Lichtzer. Mr. Lichtzer lived in Stamford for 35 years, where he was a senior vice president of Stamford Insulation. Mr. Lichtzer served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a former member of Temple Beth El in Stamford, the Greenwich Builders Association, and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He was a captain of the Citizens Observation Patrol in Boynton Beach. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sarah Lichtzer of Boynton Beach; two daughters, Deborah Lichtzer and Judith Lichtzer, both of Stamford; a sister, Pearl Krebs of Boynton Beach; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Goldie Rossman. A funeral and burial will take place today in Boynton Beach, Fla. Shiva was observed in Boynton Beach.

Luigi Licursi of Stamford, a retired landscaper, died Friday, Dec. 13, at Mediplex of Stamford. He was 90. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born Sept. 16, 1912, in Ururi, Italy, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Maria Bartolini Licursi. Mr. Licursi served in the Italian Army during World War II. He lived in Stamford since 1960 and worked as a landscaper for American Cyanamid of Stamford until retiring in 1977. He was a member of St. Bridget of Ireland Church. He is survived by his wife, Triestina Carfagnini Licursi of Stamford; a daughter, Maria Russo of Darien; two sons, Antonio Licursi and John Licursi, both of Stamford; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, John Licursi. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 16, at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A procession will depart the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, for St. Bridget of Ireland Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Ave., Stamford. Susan Jane Limerick, a Stamford resident and homemaker, died Sunday, Oct. 6, at St. John Hospital in Yonkers, N.Y. She was 56. She died of cardiac and pulmonary failure, according to her family. Born May 8, 1946, in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand R. and Nellie S. Palermo Cenami. Mrs. Limerick lived in Stamford most of her life where she was a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Limerick of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Debbie-Ann D'Aquila Tzavaras of Stamford and Tracie Limerick of Mount Carroll, Ill.; a brother, Richard Cenami of Orange; two sisters, Florine Cenami of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Linda LaChapelle of Rosemont, Pa.; and two grandchildren. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Peter B. Linden of New Canaan, a singer, actor and artist, died Thursday, Jan. 30, at Norwalk Hospital. He was 45. He died of a brain tumor, according to his family. Born May 9, 1957, in Providence, R.I., he was the son of Elwin E. and Phyllis M. Linden of New Canaan. Mr. Linden began acting when he was 9 and spent the rest of his life on stage. He starred in numerous plays at New Canaan High School and New Canaan Summer Theatre from childhood through young adulthood, including roles as Oliver in "Oliver" and the King of Siam in "The King and I." Mr. Linden graduated from high school in 1975 and continued acting at Boston University School for the Arts, where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in theater/performance. After college he went to Broadway and landed an apprenticeship in what is now the National Shakespeare Company, playing Iago in "Othello." He became a manager at Bloomingdale's, then a buyer. He later went to work at EE Linden Associates, a consulting firm founded by his father, where he started as business manager and was promoted to president. Mr. Linden continued acting and singing with the Powerhouse Performing Arts Center and New Canaan Congregational Church, where he was a member. In England, he played the role of Lord Brockhurst in the Darlington International Institute of Music summer festival's production of "The Boyfriend." Mr. Linden also was an artist and developed his own art form, creating designs using specialty papers. His first exhibit was in 1994, and his art led to Over The Edge Designs. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly after his art exhibit. Throughout his illness he remained active in his art, the theater and the church. He donated time to raise money for organizations that help children, the elderly and victims of AIDS. He was a pastoral care volunteer at Silver Hill Hospital and Norwalk Hospital, and active in the Benedictine Grange and Kiwanis Club. In addition to his parents, Mr. Linden is survived by two sisters, Chris Linden of North Chatham, N.Y., and Susan Nemzoff of New Hope, Pa.; and three nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Robin Carol, in 1956. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the F. Hoyt Funeral Home Inc., 199 Main St., New Canaan. Elisabeth Lippold

Elisabeth Lippold, a longtime resident of Hamburg, Germany, died on Thursday, Jan. 8, at her daughter's home in the Riverside section of Greenwich. She was 100. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Nov. 9, 1903, in Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Marie and Hermann Stabenau. She married Walter Lippold in 1931 in Hamburg. After her husband's death in 1953, Mrs. Lippold became the head of the family firm in Germany, Walter Lippold KG. Mrs. Lippold was a frequent visitor to Greenwich over the past 30 years and had many friends in the area. She lived in Greenwich with her daughter for the last five years. She is survived by her daughter, Elisabeth McLaughlin of Greenwich; her son, Christof Lippold of Hamburg; and three grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Stanwich Congregational Church, 237 Taconic Road, Greenwich. Leo P. John Lippoth

John Lippoth of Vista, N.Y., a retired salesman, died Thursday, Sept. 11, at home. He was 73. He died of prostate cancer, according to his family. Born June 13, 1930, in New Rochelle, N.Y., he was a son of the late William and Ruth Ball Lippoth. Mr. Lippoth was a salesman for Poritsky's Meat Co., formerly in Peekskill, N.Y. An avid sportsman, he coached Little League baseball, soccer and basketball. He also played in the men's softball league in New Rochelle, where he was known as "Moose." He is survived by his wife, Loretta O'Neill Lippoth of Vista; a son, John Lippoth of Trumbull; a daughter, Patricia Lippoth of Vista; a brother, Richard Lippoth of New Rochelle; and a grandson. Margaret Rose Liptack, a former assistant manager at Lord and Taylor in New York City and a lifelong Stamford resident died Monday, Dec. 8, at home. She was 88. She died of natural causes according to her family. Born May, 26 1915, in Stamford, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Rose Gertrude Halkvotiz Liptack. Ms. Liptack is survived by a sister, Grace Vuono of Stamford; and eight nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Louise Liptack and Marion Liptack; and two brothers, William Liptack and Leslie Liptack. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, at St. Cecilia's Church, 1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Darien. John P. Lizza of Greenwich, a retired truck driver, died Monday, Dec. 1 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y. He was 80. He died of a heart attack, according to his family. Born Jan. 2, 1923 in Valley Stream, N.Y., he was a son of the late Pietro and Maryann Lizza. Mr. Lizza lived in Greenwich for 29 years. He worked as a truck driver for Super Mill Works in Minneola, N.Y., for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Lizza was a member of the American Legion Post No. 0004 in Oyster Bay, N.Y., St. Roch Seniors in Greenwich, Glenville Seniors in Greenwich and AARP Chapter No. 3020 in Greenwich. Millicent H. Llewellyn of Stamford, a retired housekeeper, died Saturday, Sept. 6, at St. Camillus Health Center in Stamford. She was 75. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Dec. 28, 1927, in Jamaica, she was a daughter of the late Finley and Ivy Rowe Harrison. Mrs. Llewellyn lived in Silver Springs, Md., before moving to Stamford about five years ago. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Silver Springs and was involved in numerous charitable activities. Through the church, she volunteered at a clothes closet program, sorting and distributing clothing to needy individuals in Silver Springs. Mrs. Llewellyn was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Stamford. She is survived by a daughter, Enid J. Blaine of Stamford; a son, Charles Gentles of Silver Springs, Md.; a brother, Vincent Harrison of England; a sister, Edna Karlsson of Taby, Sweden; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Charles Clement Lohr of Fairfax, Va., a former Stamford resident, died Sunday, Feb. 2, at The Gardens, an assisted living community in Fairfax. He was 93. He died of pneumonia, according to his family. Born Nov. 16, 1909, in Stamford, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Harriett Stewart Lohr. Mr. Lohr lived in Stamford most of his life until moving to Virginia 16 months ago. A member of Stamford High School's Class of 1926, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He was a longtime technical manager and sales representative for American Cyanamid's Shippan plant in Stamford. Before that he was an official for a subsidiary of the Underwood Corp. in New York City. Mr. Lohr was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Stamford, the American Chemical Society, and he volunteered at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center. He was chairman of the committee that built Stamford Baptist Church in the 1950s. He is survived by daughter, Elizabeth Lohr Beless of Oakton, Va.; a stepson, Andrew Greaney of Toronto, Canada; a sister, Janet Lohr Harris of Siesta Key, Fla.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Hope Dancy Lohr; and second wife, Alene Dixon Lohr. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, at Stamford Baptist Church, 602 High Ridge Road. Bettie Jane Lohrman of North Bennington, Vt., a former resident of Stamford and West Dover, Vt., died Wednesday, June 2, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington. She was 82. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Dec. 16, 1921, in Albert Lea, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Paul Wiley and Marie Anderson Wiley. She attended Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Lohrman was very athletic throughout her life and enjoyed skiing, playing golf, tennis and bowling. She was active in many bridge clubs and newcomers organizations. She also had been a Girl Scout leader. She is survived by a daughter, Kristine Lohrman of Arlington, Vt.; and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, John Lohrman, on Sept. 11, 1992; and their son, James Lohrman, in 1991. A service to remember Bettie Lohrman's life will be at 1 p.m. June 11, at St. James Episcopal Church, 46 Church St., Arlington, the Rev. Bradford Clark officiating. There are no calling hours. Geraldine W. Long, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Sunday, Nov. 17, at home. She was 75. She died of cancer, according to her family. Born Aug. 11, 1927, in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Harvey A. and Bertha H. Walker. Mrs. Long was raised in Stamford and attended Stamford High School. She graduated from Roosevelt College in Chicago with a bachelor's degree. She was a former employee of Pitney Bowes and the Urban League, both in Stamford. She was a lifelong member of Union Baptist Church in Stamford and served in a number of church auxiliaries, including the Church Prison Ministry, the Sanctuary Choir and the Missionary Ministry and as church historian. She was active in several civic organizations and was a member of the Eastern Star, Dorcas Chapter No. 14 in Stamford, where she was a former Worthy Matron. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Garland C. Long of Stamford; two aunts, including Mary Long of Stamford; two uncles; and many cousins. Irving Lotstein, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of Stamford, died Monday, Sept. 29, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, N.Y. He was 90. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born July 4, 1913, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Samuel and Anna Lotstein. Mr. Lotstein lived in Stamford for 80 years. He served as vice president of the Hartford Provision Company, formerly in Stamford. He was a member of Congregation Agudath Sholom in Stamford and the president of the local chapter of B'nai Brith. He is survived by his wife, Frances Lotstein of Boca Raton, Fla.; two daughters, Martha Ratner and Jane Molstre, both of Stamford; a sister, Harriet Gray of Stamford; a brother, Ralph Lotstein of Stamford; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Lotstein was predeceased by his first wife, Myrtle Lotstein; four brothers, Louis Lotstein, Saul Lotstein, Jack Lotstein and Raymond Lotstein; and a son, Kenneth Lotstein. Marie Sonia Louis-Charles of Stamford, a nurse's aide, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Stamford Hospital. She was 36. The cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy, according to her family. Born Feb. 8, 1967, in Petionville, Haiti, she was a daughter of Terez Louis-Charles of Tampa, Fla., and the late Anita Aurelus. Miss Louis-Charles worked at Wilton Meadows Health Care Center in Wilton for about a year as a nurse's aide. She had lived in Stamford for about two years. In addition to her father, she is survived by a daughter, Karmita Saintime of Stamford; two brothers, Pereira Louis-Charles and Joel Louis-Charles, both of North Miami, Fla.; six sisters, Marie Lourdes Charles and Mariana Bellis, both of Haiti, Maud Louis-Charles and Filia Severin, both of Stamford, Denia Marseille of Paris and Aliette Saint-Aime of North Miami; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Andreline Parvilus Louis of Stamford, a former Norwalk resident and co-founder of Louis Ministries, died Sunday, Sept. 14, at home. She was 80. She died of a heart attack, according to her family. Born April 13, 1923, in Jacmel, Haiti, she was a daughter of the late Glaton and Chalismene Parvilus. She was an elder and deaconess in the Louis Ministries in Norwalk, which she founded in 1990. She is survived by a son, Bishop Africo Louis of Ossining, N.Y.; three daughters, Nelta Glaudin of Stamford, Lina Camille of Orlando, Fla., and Alvena Louis of Quantico, Va.; four sisters, one of Stamford and three of Haiti; 20 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lucien Louis. Calling hours were held yesterday. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. today, Sept. 18, at Bethel AME Church in Stamford. Anylise Damus Lovelas of Stamford died Friday, June 18, at Stamford Hospital. She was 65. She died of a stroke, according to her family. Born Oct. 8, 1938, in Jacmel, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Emilus Damus and Mericia Franck. Mrs. Lovelas lived in Stamford for six years. She was a member of Eglise de Dieu de la Nouvelle Jerusalem Church in Stamford. She is survived by her husband, Jean Lucien Lovelas of Stamford; two sons, Jean Philipe Lovelas of Haiti and Wilson Lauture of Stamford; a daughter, Marie Macdala Lovelas of Haiti; two sisters, Celi Damus and Lorgelie Damus, both of Haiti; four grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Dieubion Damus; and two sisters, Maricia Damus and Destine Damus. Elmer W. Lowden
Elmer W. Lowden of Stamford died Wednesday, Feb. 12, at home. He was 92. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born July 19, 1910, in Stamford, he was the son of the late Amos E. and Alice Fairchild Lowden. Mr. Lowden worked at Cummings & Lockwood law firm in Stamford for more than 50 years as head of the real estate department. He was a justice of the peace and a member of the Stamford Democratic City Committee for many years, serving as its chairman during the administration of the late Mayor J. Walter Kennedy. He was elected to four terms in the state House of Representatives, serving as a committee chairman for two terms. He proposed several bills that became laws, including the Uniform Recognition and Acknowledgment Act, the Uniform Jurisdiction of Minors Act, acts creating durable powers of attorney, an act authorizing the creation of professional corporations and an act creating short forms of deeds for the conveyance of real estate. He sponsored legislation enabling the construction of lights in Cubeta Stadium in Scalzi Park. He garnered funding which resulted in the state acquiring land for a park and nature preserve in the Mianus River area. He co-sponsored legislation making the Stamford branch of the University of Connecticut a four-year institution. Mr. Lowden formerly served on the board of directors of Stamford Crossroad Residencies and was a former member of the Board of Tax Review, the Zoning Board, the Shippan Point Association and the Connecticut Land Title Association. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Stamford, where he was active in the Fellowship Club. He was a charter member of Stamford's Roaster Club. He is survived by his wife, Edna Kristiansen Lowden of Stamford; a son, Scott Lowden of Dallas; two daughters, Laureen Valentine of Lansdale, Pa., and Kimberly Harris of Stamford; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Dr. Lynn M. Lowden. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at First United Methodist Church, 42 Cross Road, Stamford. Walter Lowenbach

Walter Lowenbach of Bronx, N.Y., a former longtime resident of New York City, died Thursday, Dec. 11, at Abraham Beth Health Services in the Bronx. He was 92. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born July 1, 1911, in Mayem, Germany, he was a son of the late Jacob and Bertha Lowenbach. Mr. Lowenbach is survived by two daughters, Roselyn Mangot of Stamford and Judith Polinger of Queens, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Bertha Lowenbach. Shiva will be observed today, Dec. 14, and Monday, Dec. 15, at the home of Roselyn Mangot in Stamford. A service will be held both days at 7:30 p.m. Hirsch Louis & Sons Inc., 1225 Jerome Ave., Bronx handled the arrangements. Angelo V. Lucia, a facility manager at Pitney Bowes and a lifelong Stamford resident, died Friday, Oct. 24, at Stamford Hospital. He was 62. He died of cerebral hemorrhage, according to his family. Born Sept. 12, 1941, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Dominick and Maria Incoronata Guglielmo Lucia. Mr. Lucia worked for 35 years for Pitney Bowes at Barry Place, including many years as the facility manager. He was a member of the St. Augustine Council No. 41 Knights of Columbus and was a fourth-degree knight. He also was a member of the Pitney Bowes Oval Club and the Stamford Bocci League. Mr. Lucia's many interests included history, vintage cars and parades. He is survived by three brothers, Canio Lucia and Salvatore Lucia of Stamford and Daniel Lucia of Southbury; three sisters, Margaret Avantino of Cos Cob, Rosemarie L. Caputo of Wilmington, N.C., and Catherine L. Gredoni of New Canaan; 17 nieces and nephews; grandnieces and nephews; and many friends. He was predeceased by two sisters, Lucy M. Corsini and Nettie L. Ferrara. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Lisbeth Lund of Karlby, Grenaa, Denmark, a former bakery and delicatessen owner who lived in Stamford, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, at home. She was 77. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Jan. 26, 1926, in Asaa, Denmark, she was the daughter of the late Harald and Inga Nielsen. Mrs. Lund attended schools in Asaa and Dronninglund and graduated from Dronninglund Realskole in 1943. In 1950, she moved to Stamford. Her husband worked as a painter, and established a painting and decorating business. Mrs. Lund worked as the company's bookkeeper. A talented baker and chef, she started a part-time catering business in 1959. Four years later, she and a business partner, Bent Skaarup, briefly operated a restaurant in the Rowayton section of Norwalk. Later that year, they established Jutland Danish Bakery in the Noroton Heights section of Darien. In 1968 they sold the bakery and started Scandinavian Foods on High Ridge Road Stamford, where they sold Scandinavian delicacies such as Danish cheeses and Norwegian lutfisk. In 1971 they expanded Scandinavian Foods to include a bakery. In 1974, Mrs. Lund and her husband sold their businesses and moved to Karlby, Denmark. There they bought and restored a former parsonage, renting rooms to tourists during the summer. In 1987, they built a house nearby. During her retirement, she enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting. She and her husband raised a large vegetable and herb garden. The Lunds loved to travel, especially in North America, and during their later years visited much of the American West. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Irving Lund of Karlby, Denmark; a son, Jens Lund of Olympia, Wash.; a daughter, Inky Remy of Skramso Plantage, Ronde, Denmark.; two sisters, Tove Kroyer of Orumgaard, Langaa, Denmark, and Doris Lotte Sejr of Farso, Denmark; a brother, Knud Nielsen of Asaa, Denmark; and five grandchildren. A memorial service was held at the Karlby village church on Nov. 22. Mrs. Lund's ashes were interred in the Asaa village churchyard Nov. 29. Soren Ronde Hansen in Grenaa, Denmark, handled the arrangements.

Beatrice T. Lunney of Jensen Beach, Fla., a former Stamford resident, died Saturday, Feb. 15 at her son's home in Stamford. She was 87. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Jan. 9, 1916 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Bridget Furlong Walsh. Mrs. Lunney moved from Stamford to Jensen Beach in 1985. She enjoyed playing Rummy Cube and Bingo. She is survived by two sons, James J. Lunney Jr. of Stamford, formerly of Greenwich, and Thomas Lunney of Pacific Grove, Calif.; two sisters, Margaret Lamaita of Jensen Beach, Fla., and Cecile Pendleton of Oceanside, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, James J. Lunney Sr.; and a brother, Gerald Walsh. Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m., with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 N.E. Jensen Beach Blvd., Jensen Beach, Fla. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 2555 N.E. Savannah Road, Jensen Beach, Fla. Entombment will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the charity of one's choice.

Orlando "Dutch" Lupinacci, a lifelong Stamford resident who worked for many years as a groundskeeper for the Olin Corp. in Stamford, died Saturday, Oct. 26 at Stamford Hospital. He was 86. He died of congestive heart failure, according to his family. Born Feb. 13, 1916 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Carmine and Rosina Lupinacci. Mr. Lupinacci was an avid golfer and played at E. Gaynor Brennan Municipal Golf Course in Stamford for many years. He is survived by his wife, Adeline Scaglione Lupinacci of Stamford; two daughters, Mary-Ann Lupinacci and Francesca Lupinacci, both of Stamford; and a brother, Geno Lupinacci Sr. of Stamford. He was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph Lupinacci, Amedio Lupinacci and Nicholas Lupinacci; and three sisters, Louise Cipri, Caroline Piscitelli and Edith Lupinacci. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Marion B. Lee, a former Bronx, N.Y., resident, died Saturday, Nov. 9 at Edgehill Lifecare Community in Stamford. She was 96. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Feb. 10, 1906 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Theresa A. McCabe Brock. Mrs. Lee graduated Hunter College in New York City then worked as a secretary at Bronx High School of Science in Bronx, N.Y. She was an active volunteer in the Ladies of Charity and the Catholic Interracial Council, both in New York City. She also volunteered at the Riverdale Nursing Home and the Hebrew Home for the Aged, both in Bronx, N.Y. Mrs. Lee is survived by her daughter, Therese Unnold of Stamford; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George E. Lee. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. Peter Gudni Maar of Norwalk, a former Stamford resident, died Monday, June 9, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He was 53. He died due to a brain aneurysm, according to his family. Born Aug. 25, 1949, in Caracas, Venezuela, he was a son of Leonard F. and Stella Gudnadottir Maar Jr. of Norwalk. Mr. Maar lived in Stamford for 14 years until he went away to college. A 1967 graduate of Rippowam High School in Stamford, he attended Syracuse University and graduated from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Maar served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1968 to 1970, receiving an honorable discharge. He moved to Norwalk in 1978. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for almost 30 years, working at the Old Greenwich Post Office. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and served as the president of West Norwalk Bambino Baseball from 1991 to 1995. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sons, James Ruel Maar of Jamaica Plain, Mass., Eric Robert Maar of Norwalk, and Gregory Alexander Maar of Lutz, Fla.; a sister, Liza Loesch of South Salem, N.Y.; and a brother, Michael Maar of Norwalk. A gathering will be held 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford.
