Rose K. Palamarczuk of Armonk, N.Y., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Greenwich Hospital. She was 90. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born April 11, 1913, in Greenwich, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Niemchuk Krouch. Mrs. Palamarczuk was a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Paul A. Palamarczuk of Armonk; a daughter, Olga Dackowsky of Cassville, N.Y.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Luchka and Anna Mazurkiewich; and two brothers, Anthony Krouch and John Krouch. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 2, at the Leo P. Eleanor C. Palmieri of Norwalk, died Tuesday, April 15, at Norwalk Hospital. She was 80. She died of complications from a stroke, according to her family. Born Jan. 26, 1923, in Stamford, she was a daughter of the late John and Kathleen Hurley White. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Uva of Norwalk; a brother, John White of Redding; three sisters, Lillian Summa of Middlefield, Marion Galasso of Rye Brook, N.Y. and Eileen Burriesci of Stamford; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Palmieri, and by her two sons, Thomas Palmieri and Jack Palmieri. Carolyn S. Palumbo, a lifelong Norwalk resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Norwalk Hospital. She was 73. She died of cancer, according to her family. Born April 14, 1929, in Norwalk, she was the daughter of the late Emil A. and Fannie Falcone Satta. She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1947. Mrs. Palumbo volunteered at Norwalk Hospital and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in East Norwalk. For more than 30 years, she and her husband hosted an annual Christmas party for Norwalk firefighters and other members of the community. She is survived by her husband, Alfred Palumbo, a retired Norwalk Fire Department captain; a daughter, Joanie Webster of Norwalk; a son, Alfred "Flip" Palumbo Jr. of Norwalk; a sister, Mary Lane of Stratford; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ann Mary Panapada of Kodak, Tenn., a former Stamford resident, died Monday, Sept. 15, at home. She was 91. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Feb. 14, 1912, in Stamford, she was a daughter of the late Felix Anthony and Ann Marie Ruvo Panapada. Miss Panapada was a graduate of the former St. John Parochial School in Stamford and Shorts Secretarial Business School, formerly in Stamford. She lived in Stamford until 1976, when she moved to Slidell, La., She moved to Kodak five years ago. While in Stamford, she worked for 20 years for Stamford United Way Council's Social Service Exchange. She also worked for Catholic Charities in Stamford for 20 years as a secretary and office manager. Miss Panapada was a former member of St. John Church in Stamford and St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Slidell. She is survived by a niece, Barbara Ann Mahonski Pecot of Kodak; and many grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Charles Panapada, Anthony Panapada, Angelo Panapada and William Joseph Panapada; and three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Panapada, Alicia L. Panapada and Josephine Mary Panapada Mahonski. Walter Paris, a lifelong Stamford resident, a former telephone company lineman and electrician, died Sunday, July 27 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was 54. He died of complications from kidney transplant surgery, according to his family. Born Dec. 2, 1948, in Stamford, he was the son of Charles Benjamin Paris of Bridgeport and the late Susan G. Paris. Mr. Paris graduated from Rippowam High School in Stamford in 1966. He went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force in 80 combat missions during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he returned to Stamford, where he worked as a lineman for the Southern New England Telephone Co. He also worked as an electrician for Metro-North Railroad in New York. Prior to his illness, he was employed as a presser by New Canaan Cleaners. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Paris enjoyed golf, bike riding and tennis. He attended Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Stamford. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Olivia Meyers of Waterbury; two daughters, Stephanie Paris-Cooper of West Haven and Malikah Paris of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Alani Paris of Columbus,; seven brothers, Charles M. Paris and Larry Hughes, both of Stamford, Courtland Paris, Rasheen Paris, Jamal Paris and Vincent Paris, all of Bridgeport, and Donald Anderson of St. Paul, Minn.; four sisters, Lucille Paris and Pamela Paris, both of St. Paul, and Lisa Paris-Jones and Shere Paris, both of Bridgeport; three grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove St., Stamford. Baker Funeral Home, 84 S. Main St., Norwalk, handled arrangements.

Addie Jane Parker, a longtime Stamford resident and homemaker, died Monday, Oct. 6, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Bridgeport. She was 72. She died of a heart attack, according to her family. Born Sept. 5, 1931, in Farmville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late John Henry Horne and Malinda Gay Horne. Mrs. Parker lived in Stamford for about 45 years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses of Stamford. She is survived by two sons, Jeffery Parker of Stamford and Christopher Williams of Auckland, New Zealand; a daughter, Malinda Mitchell of Stamford; a grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Tony Parker. There will be calling hours. Kiriakos Patrianakos, a retired maintenance mechanic who split his time between Stamford and Sparta, Greece, died Tuesday, Aug. 6 at Stamford Hospital. He was 75. He died of cancer, according to his family. Born April 20, 1927 in Petrina, Sparta, Greece, he was the son of the late Michael and Marigo Panagakos Patrianakos. Mr. Patrianakos worked for years at The Presbyterian Hospital in New York. He was a member of Greek Orthodox Church of Annunciation in Stamford. He was close to his son-in-law, Peter Stathopoulos of Stamford. He is survived by his wife, Tasia Glekas Patrianakos of Stamford; a daughter, Maria Stathopoulos of Stamford; a sister, Vasiliki Economakos of New York; and three grandchildren. Michael Paul of Stamford, co-owner of M. Paul Tree Experts in South Windsor, died Monday, Oct. 21, at home. He was 67. He died of cancer, according to his family. Born March 14, 1935, in East Hartford, he was a son of the late Michael and Frances Paul. Mr. Paul worked in maintenance department of the Parks and Recreation Department in Vernon. He is survived by his wife, Ann Smeland Paul of Stamford; six daughters, Karen Emery and Allison Paul, both of Stafford Springs, Barbara Warren of Martha's Vineyard, Mass., Cyndi Paul of Vernon, Mary Toth of Coventry and Amy Stephenson of Manchester; three sisters, Gaye Keeney of Hebron, Michele Backus of West Chatham, Mass., and Lana Saponare of East Hartford; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Born Aug. 18, 1917, in Havana, she was a daughter of the late Arturo and Nieves Lamas Penalver. She is survived by two sisters, Esther Sandoval of Stamford, and Enedina Penalver of Havana; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Albert Pensiero, a retired employee of the Stamford Water Company and a lifelong Stamford resident, died Friday, Oct. 24, at Smith House Health Care Center. He was 68. He died from complications due to liver failure, according to his family. Born July 18, 1935, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Antonio and Cecilia Mallozzi Pensiero. Mr. Pensiero was an avid wrestling and baseball fan. He loved the game of pool and automobile racing. He is survived by two sons, Anthony Pensiero and Frank Pensiero, both of Stamford; his former wife, Rose Malagisi of Stamford; two brothers, Angelo Pensiero of Tampa, Fla., and Gene Pensiero of San Bernardino, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Rizzi and Clara Pellini, both of Stamford; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Joseph T. Pensiero Jr., a lifelong Stamford resident and tile setter, died Wednesday, Nov. 19 at home. He was 51. He died of heart failure, according to his family. Born Nov. 21, 1951, in Stamford, he was the son of Joseph T. Pensiero Sr. and Victoria M. Guiliani Pensiero of Stamford. Mr. Pensiero attended Stamford Public Schools, graduating from Stamford High School. He worked as a tile setter for various tile contractors in Stamford for about 20 years. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Robert Pensiero of Pennsylvania and Donald Pensiero of Reno, Nev.; a nephew; and several aunts and uncles. Daniel S. "Bodgy" Perella, a retired U.S. postal carrier and lifelong Stamford resident died Thursday, Oct. 9, at Stamford Hospital. He was 82. He died of heart failure according to his family. Born Aug. 4, 1921, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Albert and Annunziata Conetta Perella. Mr. Perella served in the 391st Infantry Regiment, 98th Division, with the occupation forces in Japan during World War II from November 1942 until February 1946. He was honorably discharged as sergeant. He was involved with American Babe Ruth League baseball for more than 50 years, coaching and serving as president. Mr. Perella worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for more than 35 years. He played and coached with fast pitch softball teams for the post office, Sullo's Tavern and the Mill River Tavern. He coached the Italian center woman's softball team for 25 years and also worked as part-time recreation director with the Stamford Board of Recreation. Mr. Perella was chairman of the Sacred Heart Church Parish Council, member of the Scared Heart Holy Name Society and served as a lector and eucharistic choir member, minister CYO, RCIA, at Sacred Heart Church. He was past president of the third order of Carmelites in Stamford, a former president of Branch 60 National Association of Letter Carriers and the Stamford Postal Employees Association, founder and past president of the West Side Sportman's Club in Stamford, and chairman of the board of directors of Stamford Postal Employees Credit Union. Mr. Perella was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 41, third degree, Knights of Columbus fourth degree, Lafayette Assembly, America Legion, VFW, Italian Center, Old Timers Association and the Nocturnal Society all of Stamford. He was a ten-gallon blood donor for American Red Cross. He is survived by a sister, Josephine Perella Taranto of Stamford; and several nieces and nephews. Spc. Wilfredo Perez Jr. of Norwalk died Saturday, July 26 while guarding a children's hospital in Ba'qubah, Iraq. He was 24. Spc. Perez was with the 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army. He graduated from basic training at Ft. Benning, Ga., and was stationed out of Ft. Hood, Texas, before being deployed to Iraq. Spc. Perez was born Dec. 19, 1978 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He later moved to Norwalk to live with his father and attended Nathan Hale Middle School and Norwalk High School. Doris M. Perna, a homemaker and lifelong Stamford resident, died Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Stamford Hospital. She was 76. She died of heart failure, according to her family. Born May 20, 1927, in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian Scott Corcran. Mrs. Perna was a member and former president of the Italian Center's Woman's Auxiliary and an avid bowler. She is survived by four sons, James M. Perna of Stamford, Joseph A. Perna of Waterbury, Gary A. Perna of Stamford and Scot R. Perna of Norwalk; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Perna. John James Perrin of Slough, England, a former Stamford resident, died Friday, Nov. 22, at work in London. He was 48. He died of a heart attack, according to his family. Born Jan. 16, 1954, in Plymouth, England, he was the son of Gloria Jean Perrin of Plymouth and the late Frederick E.J. Perrin. Mr. Perrin was an Eagle Scout. He also served in the Royal Air Force. He was an avid stamp collector, camper, hiker, amateur chef and brewmaster. He also enjoyed playing pool and darts. He lived in Stamford in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Mr. Perrin worked for 23 years at British Gas in London. Most recently, he was a supervisor of instrumentation engineering and troubleshooting. In addition, Mr. Perrin was a former ASTM union official and shop steward. He was a member of the British Labour Party. In recent years, he traveled frequently to Ireland and expressed interest in one day living there. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Debbie Kennedy Perrin of Slough; a son, David Perrin of Plymouth; a daughter, Michelle Perrin of Plymouth; his grandmother, Mabel Croft of Plymouth; four brothers, Andrew Perrin and Gary Perrin both of Plymouth, Keith Perrin of Milford and Kim Perrin of Norwalk; a former wife, Julie Shepard Perrin of Plymouth; two granddaughters; three nieces; and five nephews. The funeral was held Monday, Dec. 2, in England. Arrangements are handled by Sargeant E & Son, 34-40 Church St., Slough, England.

Virginia D. Peterson, a homemaker and Stamford resident, died Monday, Oct. 14, at The Smith House in Stamford. She was 91. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born April 29, 1911, in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Carl A. and Eva May Barraclough Dahlgren. Ms. Peterson is survived by a son, Eugene Peterson of Stamford; two daughters, Audrey L. Gray of Norwalk and Charlotte "Shorty" Peterson of Dunedin, Fla.; four granddaughters; two grandsons; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Alan R. Peterson and Kenneth C. Frederick J. Peterson, a retired machinist and lifelong Norwalk resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Notre Dame Convalescent Home in Norwalk. He was 87. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born Jan. 2, 1916, in Norwalk, he was a son of the late John and Mabel Hennessy Peterson. In the 1930s, Mr. Peterson played hockey and baseball with a group from the Spring Hill section of Norwalk. He worked for many years at the former Bullard's Manufacturing in Bridgeport. After he retired, he became an accomplished woodworker. He was also an avid gardener and a life member of the South Norwalk Boat Club. He is survived by his wife, Bette Vadas Peterson of Norwalk; two sons, James "Lindy" Peterson and Thomas Peterson, both of Norwalk; a sister, Ruth Giannini of Trumbull; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Archie Ibin Pharr of Norwalk, a Stamford resident for 27 years, died Saturday, Dec. 8 on Interstate 95 in Norwalk. He was 28. He died of injuries from a car accident, according to his family. Born Oct. 21, 1973 in Stamford, he was the son of Archie Pharr of Norwalk and Kirby McNeill McRay of Stamford. Mr. Pharr attended Gibbs College in Norwalk for a year and a half and worked at Griffin Ford in New Canaan as a computer technician. Besides his parents, he is survived by his step-father, Robin McRay of Stamford; his maternal grandmother, Lillian Striplin of Greenwich; his fiancee, Kindra Jones of Norwalk; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Community Tabernacle of Deliverance, 198 Selleck St., Stamford. Funeral Services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the church, with Pastor Michael Densmore officiating. Burial will be private. Downer Funeral Home, 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford, is handling arrangements.

Gertrude J. Philibert, a longtime Stamford resident and retired French teacher, died Monday, Oct. 6, at Stamford Hospital. She was 87. She died of cardiac arrest, according to her family. Born Aug. 10, 1916, in St. Gerard, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Ephraim Juneau and Azilda Pothier Juneau. Mrs. Philibert lived in Stamford for about 60 years. She worked as a substitute teacher in Stamford Public Schools during the 1960s and 1970s. She also was an accomplished pianist. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of St. John's, St. Mary's and St. Bridget's churches while living in Stamford. She followed political issues and current events. She is survived by her son, C. Lorent Philibert of Stamford; four sisters, Madeleine Juneau Courteau, Marthe Juneau Pelletier, Laurence Juneau Ouellet, and Reine Juneau, all of Canada; four brothers, Andre Juneau, Jacques Juneau, Rene Juneau and Guy Juneau, all of Canada; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard Philibert; a daughter, Shirley Philibert; two sisters, Carmen Juneau and Mance Juneau Lebordais; and two brothers, Gerard Juneau and Emilien Juneau. Calling hours will be 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at St. Bridget's of Ireland Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Ave., Stamford. Burial will follow in St. John's cemeteryin Darien.

Julian A. "Tony" Pia, a Stamford resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Stamford Hospital. He was 58. He died after being injured in a car accident in Glenbrook on Saturday, according to his family. Born Aug. 16, 1943, in Stamford, he was the son of Julian "July" Pia Sr. of Dania Beach, Fla., and Yolanda Vescio Pia of Stamford. Mr. Pia served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was employed as the sales manager for the Iron Shop of Stamford for the past four years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Stamford. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mary C. Hill Pia of Stamford; his stepmother Mary Ann Pia of Dania Beach; a son, Anthony M. Pia of Southington; two stepsons, Darren Galazin Jr. and Tyler Galazin, both of Bridgeport; a sister, Paula Jagodzinski of Stamford; and several nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A procession will depart the funeral home at 9:50 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, for St. Mary's Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
