Anne C. Graf

Anne C. Graf, 76, mother of Ellen M. Miller of Ridgefield, died Monday at the Glen Hill Convalescent Home.

Mrs. Graf, of 2309 Arthur St., Philadelphia, Pa., was the wife of the late Clement J. Graf.

She was born in Philadelphia on Jan. 27, 1921, a daughter of Joseph and Margaret Boyce McGuekin. She was educated in Philadelphia and lived there for most of her life until moving to Ridgefield to make her home with her daughter.

Mrs. Graf was devoted to her family.

She was a member of Resurrection Parish in Philadelphia.

Besides her daughter, Mrs. Graf is survived by a son, Daniel J. Lewis of Washington, D.C.; a brother, John Guekin of Philadelphia; a sister, Mary Walker of Fort Pierce, Fla.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Resurrection Parish, Castor Avenue and Shelmire Street, Philadelphia, PA 19152.

There are no calling hours.

Local services will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Resurrection Parish in Philadelphia.

The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.

W. Froehlich Skidd

Wilma Froehlich Skidd, 91, of 5 Whisconier Village, Brookfield, died Monday at Danbury Hospital.

Born in New York, N.Y., July 24, 1905, she was a daughter of Paul and Carolyn Hudec Cervenka.

Her survivors include a son, Alan Froehlich of Manchester Center, Vt.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 40 North St., Danbury 06810, or to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, Conn. 06492.

SERVICES: Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Tomlinson Homestead, 336 Main St., Danbury with the Rev. James Stinson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Jackson Heights, N.Y.

Edward A. Leary Edward A. Leary, 83, a former Danbury newsman, died Sunday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.

Mr. Leary had been a longtime resident of Indianapolis.

Born in Bridgeport on May 3, 1913, he was a son of Edward J. and Edna Hill Leary. He grew up in Danbury.

Early in his career, he was a reporter and feature writer for the Bridgeport Post, Housatonic Valley Publishing, The New Milford Times and The Kent Times. For a time in the 1930s, he was editor and publisher of a weekly newspaper in Danbury, The Danbury Record.

A veteran of World War II, he served as an information specialist for Army Service Forces. He edited two Army newspapers and wrote and produced films, radio programs and lectures.

Following his military service, Mr. Leary developed a career in advertising and was associated with several agencies in Chicago, New York and Indianapolis, Ind. From 1964 to 1982, he was the owner and president of Ed Leary & Associates, Advertising and Public Relations Consultants in Indianapolis.

From 1982 to 1989, he was an instructor in writing for telecommunications at Ball State University, Muncie, Ind.

His survivors include two sons, Andrew J. Leary of Los Angeles, Calif., and Timothy Leary of Kankakee, Ill.; two daughters, Karen A. Chase of Kent, and Regina F. Cherwin of St. Charles, Ill.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, Conn., or to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

Fredrick E. Taylor

Fredrick Ernest Taylor, 60, a former Danbury resident, died Tuesday at his home in Proctorsville, Vt.

Born in Danbury, Nov. 7, 1936, he was a son of Edward and Jesse French Taylor. He attended schools in Danbury.

Mr. Taylor enjoyed camping, playing cards and restoring older vehicles.

He is survived by three daughters, June Bergman of New Fairfield, Elizabeth Fernald of Wallingford, Vt., and Jody Cobb of Claremont, N.H.; four brothers, Richard, Walter, Donald, and Howard Taylor, all of Connecticut; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

SERVICES: Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Adams-Gendron Funeral Home.

Hazel M. Deysenroth
Hazel M. Deysenroth, 95, of Norwalk, mother of Charlotte L. Cusack of Danbury, died Tuesday at her home.

She was the wife of the late Henry Deysenroth.

Mrs. Deysenroth was born in Goshen on Feb. 11, 1902, a daughter of William and Ella Pierce Arnold. She had been a Norwalk resident for most of her life and had worked at Fairbanks Shop Inc. of Darien until her retirement. She was a member of the Lady of Washington Lodge #21.

Besides her daughter, Mrs. Deysenroth is survived by two sons, Richard P. Deysenroth of Bethlehem and Henry J. Deysenroth of Redding; two daughters, Mildred E. Bird of Decatur, Ind., and Judith C. Hammond of Norwalk; a brother, Elton Arnold of Arlington, Texas; a sister, Beatrice Right of Stamford; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Wallace Arnold.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 208 Newtown Ave., Norwalk. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.

Douglas B. Adams
Douglas B. Adams, 31, of Plantation, Fla., formerly of Carmel, N.Y., died Sunday in Plantation.

He was the husband of Lisa Taylor Adams.

Mr. Adams was born in Carmel on Nov. 19, 1965, a son of Elsie Benson Adams and the late Douglas Adams. He attended Carmel High School until moving to Florida. He worked as a vendor for Flowers Baking Company, Pembroke Pines, Fla. He was a member of the Plantation Volunteer Fire Department and was a diver with the Plantation Fire Department Rescue and Recovery Team. He was an avid car racing fan and raced in the Pure Stock Care Race for several years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Besides his wife and mother, Mr. Adams is survived by four sisters, Donna Buckner of Stormville, N.Y., Debbie Moriarty of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., Diane Urban of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., and Dolores Broderick of Carmel, N.Y.; and his maternal grandmother, Elvira Benson of Pompono Beach, Fla.

CALLING HOURS: Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Terrace, Brewster, N.Y.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Henry Maertens officiating. Burial will be in Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel, N.Y.

Robert A. Wogksch
Robert A. Wogksch, 72, of Bethel, died Tuesday at New Milford Hospital.

Mr. Wogksch was born in Stamford on July 21, 1924, a son of Carl and Eva Siegelbaum Wogksch. He graduated from Stamford High School and Pace University in New York. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He worked as a salesman of electronic equipment before his retirement. He moved to Bethel from Waterbury 10 years ago.

Mr. Wogksch is survived by three sons, David Lupinacci of Santa Fe, N.M., Chris Wogksch of Bethel and Randy Wogksch of New Milford; a daughter, Dana Wogksch of Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren and a nephew.

Contributions in the memory of Robert A. Wogksch may be made to a charity of one's choice.

There are no calling hours.

SERVICES: Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 1, at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Bethel. Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family. Cremation Services of Western Connecticut, 55 Main St., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph J. Barry
Joseph J. Barry, 97, of Norwalk, uncle of Barbara Carmellini of New Milford, died Wednesday at Norwalk Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Florence Amundsen Barry.

Mr. Barry was born in Norwalk, a son of John and Ellen McGowan Barry. He was a retired supervisor for Nash Engineering and was a lifelong Norwalk resident. He was a former member of the AARP and the Elks Club.

Besides his niece, Mr. Barry is survived by a nephew, Robert Lasprogato of Westport.
