Regina “Jean” Sanders
Regina "Jean" Sanders, 89, of Pearl St., Middletown, wife of the late Gerald
Sanders, died on Friday, (November 8, 2002) after a short illness.
Born on December 23, 1912 in Middletown, daughter of the late Dario and
Bettina (Ricciuti) Cecchini. She had been a lifelong resident of Middletown.
A member of St. John Church, Middletown, Catholic Golden Age, A.A.R.P.,
Sacred Heart Society of St. Sebastian Church, Daughters of the Sons of Italy.
She is survived by her beloved family, a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and
Sarah Sanders of Higganum; a grandson, Cole Sanders of Higganum; two
brothers, Joseph Cecchini, and David Cecchini, both of Middletown; a sister,
Rose Marie Daniels of Middletown; a sister-in-law, Mary Cecchini of Middletown;
a niece, Irene Paladino of Middletown; two nephews, Marc Daniels of East
Haddam, Ronald Cecchini of Cromwell; also several great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by three brothers, Tony Cecchini, Nino Cecchini, John Cecchini.
The funeral will be held on Monday, 8 a.m. at the Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral
Home, 491 High St., Middletown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St.
John Church, Middletown at 9 a.m.
Burial will be in the family plot in St. John Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may
call at the funeral home on Sunday, 6-8 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorial donations to St. John Church Renovation
Fund, 19 St. John Sq., Middletown, CT 06457.

Mrs. Rose P. LaBella
October 3, 1918 – March 9, 2003
Rose P. LaBella, 84, wife of the Late; Salvatore LaBella of 514 Hunting Hill
Avenue, Middletown, Connecticut, died Sunday, March 9, 2003 at the
Middlesex Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born on October 3, 1918, in Hartford Connecticut, daughter of the
Late; John and Santina (Ficara) Tarascio.
Rose was a member and communicant of Saint Sebastian Roman Catholic
Church, 155 Washington Street, Middletown, Connecticut. She was also a
member of the Saint Theresa’s Guild and the Italian American Civic Order
Ladies Auxiliary. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Olin Ski.
Rose is survived by her loving Son and Daughter-In-Law; Paul and Susan
LaBella of Middletown, Connecticut. A Brother; Sebastian Tarascio of
Hartford, Two Grandchildren; Kate and Luke LaBella. She is predeceased
by two Brothers; Pat and Salvatore Tarascio.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at 11:00 AM at
the D’Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown,
Connecticut, with Reverend Deacon Nicholas J. Cannata, of Saint Sebastian
Church officiating.
Burial will be held in the Family Plot in Saint Sebastian Cemetery,
Middlefield, Connecticut.
Relatives and Friends may call at the D’Angelo Funeral Home on
Wednesday morning (March 12, 2003) from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Mr. Salvatore Boscarino
January 1, 1921 – January 28, 2003
Salvatore Boscarino, 82, of Palmer Road, Portland,
Connecticut, beloved husband of Rose (Ruffino) Boscarino
died on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at the Hartford Hospital.
Born on January 1, 1921 in Melilli, Sicily, Italy son of the late
Sebastiano and Sebastiana (Didato) Boscarino.
He was a veteran of the Italian Army in World War II. In
1966 he arrived in America with his family and worked as a
mason for 20 years retiring in 1980.
Salvatore was a member and communicant of Saint
Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Middletown, the Italian
Society of Middletown.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving family two sons
and daughters-in-law, Sebastian and Nancy Boscarino of
Middletown, Joseph and Josie Boscarino of Cromwell; three
daughters and sons-in-law, Nella and Sebastian Bartolotta of
Portland, Lucia and John Martucci of Colchester, Maria and
John Passacantando of Rocky Hill; a brother, Vincenzo
Boscarino of Italy; a sister, Filomena Ranno of Italy; 11
grandchildren; two great grandchildren; also several nieces
and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Giuseppe
Boscarino.
The funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the
Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown
followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Sebastian
Church, 155 Washington Street, Middletown at 10 a.m. with
the Reverend Father Christopher J. Zmuda, Th.Psy.D.,
Associate Pastor as celebrant and homilist of the Funeral
Mass.
Burial will be in the family plot in Saint Sebastian Cemetery,
Middlefield, with Deacon Nicholas J. Cannata officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from
5-8 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorial donations in Memory
of Salvatore Boscarino to the Respiratory Unit (C9EI) c/o
Hartford Hospital, 80 Seymour St., Hartford, CT 06102.

Mr. Salvatore Genovese
July 22, 1934 – September 27, 2003
Salvatore Genovese, 69, husband of Adolgisa (Marchese) Genovese of 169
Allen Avenue, Meriden, died Saturday, September 27, 2003 at his home
following a brief illness.
He was born July 22, 1934 in Melilli, Sicily, Italy, son of the Late: Giuseppe
and Maria (Cartelli) Genovese.
Salvatore was a member and Communicant of Saint Sebastian Roman
Catholic Church, Middletown, Connecticut and the Italian Society of
Middletown. Prior to his retirement he was a Construction Worker. He was a
Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Marines.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons: Joseph Genovese of Meriden,
Carmelo and Marco Genovese both of Middletown and Giovanni Genovese
of Southington, Connecticut. Three daughters: Mary Ann and her husband
Rosario Cannamela and Silvana Genovese both of Middletown and Sandra
Genovese of Encino California. A brother and sister in law: James and
Bianca Genovese of Middletown, 6 Grandchildren: Tony and Fabiana
Cannamela, Lorenzo and Giancarlo Genovese and Jenna and Gianna
Genovese. Also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 9:00 AM in
the D’Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown,
Connecticut, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint
Sebastian Church, 155 Washington Street, Middletown, Connecticut with
the Very Reverend Father Thomas J. Derito Smith, V.F., Pastor, and
Celebrant and Homilist of the Funeral Mass.
Burial with Military Honors will be held in the Family Plot at Saint
Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield, Connecticut, with Deacon Nicholas J.
Cannata officiating.
Relatives and friends may call at the D’Angelo Funeral Home on
Wednesday,. October 1, 2003 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Salvatore LaTerra
August 19, 1938 - January 24, 2003
Salvatore LaTerra, 64, husband of Maria Cannarella LaTerra of Middletown,
Connecticut, died Friday, January 24, 2003 at Middlesex Hospital.
He was born August 19, 1938 in Italy, son of the Late John and Lucy Carta
LaTerra.
Salvatore was a member and communicant of Saint Sebastian Roman
Catholic Church of Middletown, and the Italian Society of Middletown.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by the City of Middletown.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons; John and Antonio LaTerra of
Middletown. A daughter; Lucy Ranger of Middletown. Two brothers; John
and Benito Laterra of Italy. Five sisters; Maria Floridia, Rosaria Calabrese,
Giovanna Amore, Giuseppina Monaco and Tina Ginnone, all of Italy. Three
Grandchildren; Ashley and Melissa Ranger, and Taylor Cunningham. Also
many Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 27, 2003 at 9:00 AM from
the D’Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown,
Connecticut, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint
Sebastian Church, 155 Washington Street, Middletown, with the Reverend
Doctor Christopher J. Zmuda, Th.Pys.D., Associate Pastor as celebrant and
homilist of the Funeral Mass.
Burial will be in the Family Plot in Saint Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield,
Connecticut, with Reverend Deacon Nicholas J. Cannata, officiating.
Relatives and Friends may call at the D’Angelo Funeral Home on Sunday,
January 25, 2003, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Mr. Salvatore Pirruccio
November 11, 1927 – March 30, 2003
Salvatore Pirruccio, 75, husband of Elizabeth (Scionti) Pirruccio, of 175
Clover Street, Middletown, Connecticut, died Sunday, March 30, 2003 at the
Middlesex Hospital.
He was born November 11, 1927 in Middletown, the son of the Late; Angelo
and Julia (DiGiandomenico) Pirruccio.
Salvatore was a member of Saint Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,
Middletown, Connecticut. Prior to his retirement he had been a Postal
Supervisor at the Middletown and Portland Post Office. He had also been
employed by the Middletown Press. He was a Veteran of the Korean War
serving with the U. S. Army.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons; David Pirruccio of Ivoryton,
Connecticut and Robert Pirruccio of Middletown, two daughters; Dona
Lindsley of Pennsylvania and Sally Marchese of Middletown, a brother;
Raffe Pirruccio of Florida, a sister; Connie Gilles of Middletown, 5
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2003 at 9:00 AM from
the D’Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown,
Connecticut, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint
Sebastian Church, 155 Washington Street, Middletown, Connecticut, with
the Very Reverend Father Thomas J. Derito Smith, V.F., as celebrant and
homilist of the Funeral Mass.
Burial will be in the State Veteran’s Cemetery, Middletown, Connecticut
with Deacon Nicholas J. Cannata officiating.

April 2, 2003 from 6:00 PM – until 8:00 PM.
