She is survived by her father, William Wright; a sister, Jennifer L. Morgan of Lewes; two uncles and their wives, the Rev. John Wesley and Lois Shelton Jr. of Abingdon, Va. and William Sylvester and Audrey Shelton of New Haven, Conn.; an aunt and her husband, Elizabeth and Ronald Geary of Yeadon, Pa.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Mary Mother of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Del. 24 in Millsboro.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Quintina Wright.
She is survived by her father, Bertony Ferdinad; her grandfather, William Wright; and her aunt, Jennifer L. Morgan of Lewes.

Walter J. Lightner, 76
LEWES - Walter J. Lightner of Lewes died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, in Harbor Healthcare Center, Lewes. He was 76.
Mr. Lightner was born in Hollidaysburg, Pa., the son of the late Walter D. and Margaret Hale Lightner.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He was a planning engineer for Boeing Corp. in in Ridley Park, Pa., retiring in 1982.
Mr. Lightner was a member of Blue Lodge Masonic Order 19, a life member of VFW Post 7497 in Rehoboth Beach, a member of American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro and Moose Lodge 539 in Harrington. He was also a member of the Police and Fire Rod and Gun Club in New Castle and the Marine Corps League in Oak Orchard.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie Lewis-Lightner; a son and his wife, Robert J. and Susan Lightner of Antheim, Ariz.; three daughters and their husbands; Nancy M. and Felix Pedrick of Bear, Joanne M. and Thomas O'Neill of Lincoln University, Pa., and Donna and William Fink of Glen Mills, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. today at St. Jude's Catholic Church, Del. 1, Five Points, Lewes.
Burial will be 9 a.m. Monday in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Broomall, Pa.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Beebe Dialysis Center, c/o Beebe Medical Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

Catherine R. McDowell, 80
DOVER - Catherine R. McDowell of Dover died Thursday, April 5, 2001, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 80.
Mrs. McDowell was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Dagsboro, the daughter of the late Nutter B. and Mary Ellen (Daisy) Rogers.
She was a self-employed beautician in Felton for 25 years.
Mrs. McDowell was an avid harness racing fan.
She was a loving mother who cared for her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. McDowell was a member of the Lebanon Wesleyan Church in Lebanon, the Modern Maturity Center and the Harvest Years Senior Center, where she enjoyed the oil painting program.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John McDowell, in 1993; and a daughter, Joyce L. Bennett, in 1984.
She is survived by a son and his wife, John A. and Connie McDowell of Frederica; a daughter, Janet I. Cooper of Hopewell, Va.; a brother, Edward Rogers of Prices Corner; six grandchildren, Wendy L. McQuiggan, Sherri D. Bennett, Mary Kay Lee, Jenifer M. Faris, Eric J. Redden and Pamela A. McDowell; and a great-granddaughter, Kacie L. Thore.
Service will be 2 p.m. today at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 51 S. Bradford St. in Dover, where friends may call one hour prior to service.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Wesleyan Church, 423 Banning Road, Camden, DE 19934.

Catherine P. Smith, 95
MARYDEL - Catherine P. Smith of Marydel died of natural causes Thursday, April 5, 2001, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 95.
Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 22, 1906, in Northern Italy, the daughter of the late Lena Chiodo.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Smith moved to this area from Millville, N.J., in 1951.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith, in 1975.
She is survived by a son, Eric Smith and family of Marydel, Md.; a sister, Mary M. Nicolussi of Glencarbon, Ill.; two nieces, Lillian Ann Douglas and Gail Nicolussi; a nephew, Joseph Nicolussi; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, Md., where friends may call one hour prior to service.
Burial will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro.

Gilbert C. Teed, 89
HARRINGTON - Gilbert C. Teed of Harrington died Thursday, April 5, 2001, in Genesis ElderCare-Milford Manor. He was 89.
Mr. Teed worked in the borough of Jerman, Pa., as a maintenance worker.
He moved to Delaware more than 25 years ago and stayed with a nephew, Thomas Creed, and his family.
He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and going for walks. He never wore a watch but always knew when to come in to watch his favorite show, "The Price Is Right." He enjoyed spending time with all of his nieces and nephews and their families and telling them stories about his hometown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wells and Mary Belle Teed.
He is survived by three nephews, Thomas R. Teed of Harrington, whom Mr. Teed resided with, George Teed of New Castle and Wayne Teed of Felton; eight nieces, Louise Downes of Goldsboro, Md., Marilyn Buckingham of Newburn, N.C., Margaret Bernholdt of Ararat, Va., Louise Poore of Lynchburg, Va., Betty Blair of Naunhein, Germany, Norma Edwards and Mary Jane Zeilter, both of Harrington, and Rose Marie Vestal of Rainelle, W.Va.
Service will 2 p.m. Sunday at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jack Gowan of Prospect United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be Monday in the family lot at Valley View Cemetery in Montdale, Pa.

Mary Viola Warren, 95
SAVANNAH, Ga. - Mary Viola Warren of Savannah, and formerly of Harrington, Del., died Thursday, April 5, 2001, in Azalealand Nursing Home, Savannah. She was 95.
Mrs. Warren was born in Mitchell County, Texas, the daughter of the late Dock E. and Laura (Adams) Handley.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Warren was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrington, prior to moving to Savannah in 1993.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark W. Warren, in 1966; a son, Lewis H. Warren Sr.; and a granddaughter, Dollie Warren.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis W. and Neil Bodenstein of Savannah; two grandsons, Lewis H. Warren Jr. of Cleveland, Tenn., and Paul N. Bodenstein of Jacksonville, Fla.; a granddaughter, Nancy B. Johnston, of Jacksonville; two great-grandsons, Lewis H. Warren III and Alex B. Bodenstein; and two great-granddaughters, Laura and Kathleen Johnston.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McKnatt Funeral Home, 50 Commerce St. in Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior to service.
Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford-Harrington Highway, Harrington.

Kenite O. Bender, 82
MILLSBORO - Kenite O. Bender of Millsboro died Thursday, April 3, 2003, in the Veterans Affairs Hospital, Wilmington. He was 82.
Mr. Bender was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Duncannon, Pa., son of the late James W. and Jennie D. Bender.
He was an U.S. Army veteran.
He was retired from Swift and Co.
Mr. Bender was a member of Clark's Valley Zion E.C. Church and American Legion Post 28, Millsboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel L. Bender; a grandson, Robert Bender, Jr.; a brother and two sisters.
He is survived by his companion, Carol Youngman of Millsboro; three sons, John P. Bender of Harrisburg, Pa., Robert E. Bender of Dauphin, Pa. and Kenite H. Bender of Oak Orchard; a brother, Harry Bender of Linglestown, Pa.; three grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., Susquehanna Township, Pa.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, where friends may also call one hour earlier. The Rev. Gary C. Luckenbill will officiate.
Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

Grace Rowland Ingram, 95
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Grace Rowland Ingram of Chestertown, formerly of Bryn Mawr, Pa., died Saturday, April 5, 2003, in Magnolia Hall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Chestertown. She was 95.
Mrs. Ingram was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Horce and Sarah Phillips Rowland.
She worked as a practical nurse in Bryn Mawr and retired in 1984.
Mrs. Ingram was a member of the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frederick C. Phillis and David Ingram.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Grace Phillis and Dr. F. Thomas Hopkins of Kennedyville; two sons, David Scott Ingram of Worton and Brandon John Ingram of Doe Run, Pa., nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were private.

Michael C. McMahon, 18
MAGNOLIA - Michael C. McMahon of Magnolia died after a courageous battle with cancer Friday, April 4, 2003, in the A.I. Dupont Children Hospital, Wilmington. He was 18.
Michael was born in Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., son of Michael H. and Theresa Jones McMahon of Magnolia.
At the age of 16, he was diagnosed with cancer while attending Caesar Rodney High School. A strong willed young man, Michael was able to complete his studies at home and will graduate posthumously from Caesar Rodney High School this June.
Michael was a member of the National Honor Society. He also was a member of the Chess Club and was especially fond of music and computers. He had a passion for auto restoration and his enthusiasm for life and his friends was evident to those who knew him. He truly was a "Remarkable Young Man".
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving brother, Corey A. McMahon at home; his pet cat, Gizmo; his maternal grandparents, Paul and Helen Jones of Camillus, N.Y.; his paternal grandparents, Peter and Eleanor McLaughlin of Newport News, Va.; his maternal great-grandparents, George and Mary McCarthy of Lafayette, N.Y.; his special girlfriend, Nicole M. Suto of Camden; several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
Friend may call from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover.
Celebration of life services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Dover Air Force Base, Chapel 2, Dover.
Burial will be private.
