Mary Louise Dewberry, 75
DOVER - Mary Louise Dewberry of Dover died of heart failure Monday, March 19, 2001, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 75.
Ms. Dewberry was born Dec. 11, 1925, in White Eagle, Okla.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Miami, and Central Baptist Church, Dover.
She is survived by Kenneth Dewberry of District Heights, Md., Carolyn Boswell of Cottage City, Md., Marilyn Graham of Miami, Donna Dunbar of Dover and Leslie Stubbs of New Carrollton, Md.; eight granddaughters; eight great-granddaughters; and a host of relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 883 Lincoln St., Dover. The Rev. Michael and France Rogers will officiate.

Marjorie M. Anderson, 90
BRIDGEVILLE - Marjorie M. Anderson of Bridgeville died in her sleep Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in her home. She was 90.
Mrs. Anderson was born Jan. 31, 1911, in Hurlock, Md., the daughter of the late Joseph Cephas and Cornelia Burbage.
At age 5, she came to Bridgeville, where she was raised by her uncle and aunt, William and Lillie Burbage, whom she loving referred to as Mom and Pop.
She moved to Philadelphia, and in 1927, married Manson Goode. Born this union she had a son the late William L. Goode.
In 1937, she married the late Edward L. Anderson. From this union, she had a daughter, Marlyn Jackson Anderson and a son, Edward Jr., who died in infancy.
Mrs. Anderson was a graduate of the Belmont School of Nursing, and perused the profession for many years in Philadelphia hospitals.
Upon retiring she enjoyed a active social life with her family and friends.
A stroke slowed her in 1987, but did not take the joy from her heart. She always had a kind word, a laugh and a kiss to share.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, George and Lavina Cephus of Roxbourgh, Pa.; a granddaughter, Kathleen Charles of Philadelphia; grandsons and granddaughter-in-laws, John and Shay Jackson of Philadelphia, Lamont and Mia Jackson of Fort Dix, N.J., and Christian Wilson; nine grandchildren, Marilyn, Spencer, Guy, Stanley, Nicholas, Cyrstal, Christina, Cayla and Tray; a great-granddaughter, Martisha; a devoted nurse, Helena Puryear; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Seaford, where friends may call two hours prior to the ceremony.

Louvenia Andrews, 79
PHILADELPHIA - Louvenia Andrews of Philadelphia died after a lengthy illness Sunday, March 18, 2001, in her home. She was 79.
Mrs. Andrews was born March 20, 1921, in Wyoming, Del., the daughter of the late Walter and Clara M. Summers.
For many years until her retirement, she worked in Philadelphia as a hotel housekeeping technician.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Robert Mosley, in 1975; and her husband, Harold Andrews, in 1992.
She is survived by two foster daughters, Lovina Mosley and Lyvone Mosley, both of Covington, Ga.; three sisters, Reba Fullman, Lillie George and Blanche Baynard, all of Dover, Del.; and a brother, Clifford Summers of Wyoming; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church, 20 Center St., Camden, Del., where friends may call two hours prior to the ceremony.
Burial will be in Willow Grove (Del.) Cemetery.

Joseph Thomas Bugaj, 80
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Joseph Thomas Bugaj of Chestertown died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in Magnolia Hall Nursing Home. He was 80.
Mr. Bugaj was born Nov. 30, 1920, in New York, the son of the late William and Felicia Wielichowski Bugaj.
He was a 1939 graduate of Roslyn (N.Y.) High School, and a 1941 graduate of New York Agricultural College with an associate's degree.
Mr. Bugaj served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. He served from 1942 until 1946, when he was honorably discharged.
He married Helen Mosior Nov. 13, 1943.
Mr. Bugaj worked for G.L.F., which later became Agway, as an area sales manager for 45 years, retiring in 1983.
He and his wife lived for several years in Pennsylvania before moving to Chestertown in 1973.
He enjoyed golfing, reading and traveling, and was an avid historian.
Mr. Bugaj was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Chestertown, and the Frank M Jarman American Legion Post 36, Chestertown, and was past exalted ruler and secretary of the Honesdale (Pa.) Elks Lodge.
In addition to his wife of almost 58 years, he is survived by four sons, Stephen J. Bugaj of State College, Pa., Ronald M. Bugaj of Honesdale, Joseph Bugaj Jr. of St. Charles, Mo., and William C. Bugaj of Crumpton; two brothers, Theodore Bugaj of Fort Worth, Texas, and Henry Bugaj of Floral Park, N.Y.; five sisters, Antoinette Kokernak of Queens Village, N.Y., Jane Brown of Marion, Ohio, Helen Hillard of Louisville, Ky., Sophie Caprariello of Princeton, N.J., and Lottie Nartowicz of Westbury, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Chestertown.
Burial will be in St. John's Church Cemetery, Rock Hall.

Doris Mae Floyd, Campbell, 78
VIOLA - Doris Mae Floyd Campbell of Viola died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. She was 78.
Mrs. Campbell was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Viola, the seventh child of the late Roland Loper and Millie Lewis Loper.
She spent her early life in the Viola area where she attended elementary school
Mrs. Campbell was formerly married to Freddie Floyd. He preceded her in death in 1972.
She was united in marriage to Ulrick Campbell Jan. 27, 1989. They enjoyed a wonderful devoted life together, as they absorbed each other's differences.
Mrs. Campbell retired from Perdue Co. after being employed for 25 years.
She joined Mount Plymouth African Methodist Episcopal Church, Viola, in 1960. Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Senior Choir for more than 40 years and served as vice president for many years. She has also served as steward for a number of years.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her adopted daughter, Barbara Bell.
In addition to her devoted husband, she is survived by three dedicated sisters, Almeda Hawkins, Margaret King and Jeanette Sinkfield; three adopted grandchildren, Emmett Bell, Debbie Bell and Donnie Bell, all of Felton; a goddaughter, Dana Combs Fenwick of Wilmington; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Plymouth AME Church, Viola, where friends may call two hours prior to the ceremony.
Burial will by in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Dover.

Richard A. Foster, 75
SEAFORD - Richard A. Foster of Seaford died of heart failure Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 75.
Mr. Foster was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He retired from the General Motors Plant, LaGrange, Ill., in 1975.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Catherine E. Foster; and a sister, Ellen Foster of Baltimore.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley St., Seaford, where friends may call one hour prior to the ceremony.
Burial will be in Blades Cemetery.

Clarence R. 'Bud' Marks, 67
MILLSBORO - Clarence R. "Bud" Marks of Millsboro, formerly of Wilmington, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in his home. He was 67.
Mr. Marks was born in Staten Island, N.Y., the son of the late Clarence R. Sr. and Catherine M. Resseau Marks.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Marks was a member of Ducks Unlimited.
He is survived by his wife, Sally B. Marks; four children by previous marriages; six stepsons, Albert D. Ayres Jr., David Lee Ayers, Kenneth E. Ayers Sr., Michael J. Ayers and Mark S. Ayers, all of Wilmington, and James D. Ayers of North Carolina; three stepdaughters, Donna J. Ayers of New Castle, Catherine M. Pearson of Smyrna and Patricia L. Feldbauer of Absecon, N.J.; a brother, Dr. Thomas Marks of San Antonio; 28 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Service will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Clarence R. Marks' memory to Ducks Unlimited, 1 Waterfowl Way, Memphis, TN 38120.
