Catherine Fisher Ramella
Catherine Fisher Ramella of Hollywood, Florida died peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 2, 2006. Her husband Sam Ramella preceded her in death. She was 74 years old.
Catherine was born in Cross City and lived here many years. She was a 1949 graduate of Dixie County High School.
Five children, Gene Cale, Bobby Cale, Patricia Fowler, Sandra Yancey, Brenda Martin, two sisters Dot Gee of Cross City and Blanche Roberts of Gainesville, survive her.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 5, 2006, at the Sheridan Hills Baptist Church.
She was an active member of this Church for 42 years.

William V. Beach Jr.
William V. Beach Jr., 85, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at the Malcolm Randall Veterans Hospital in Gainesville. He was born on March 9, 1921 in Pikeville, TN and was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Mr. Beach moved to Clearwater in 1945 from Rutherford, NJ and was employed for over forty years as a master plumber in the Dunedin-Clearwater area. He was a former member of the Pikeville Church of Christ and is survived by his wife of 61 years. Audrey, of Old Town, his daughter, Wanda Higgs, of Old Town; his sons, Jeff Beach of Titusville, Fl and Frank Beach of New Port Richey, Fl; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Raymond Theron Durham
Mr. Raymond Theron Durham of Old Town passed away Saturday, March 18, 2006 at his home. He was 72 years old. He moved here 5 years ago from New York.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Durham; daughters, Wanda Walker of Orlando, Fl, Wendy Richardson of Newman, Ga, and Cindy Ferrie of Lake City, Fl; son, Leon Durham of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Jessice Walker, Kevin Walker, Joshua and Johnathan Richardson and great-grandson, Johnathan Vercher.
Arrangements have been placed under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City, Fl.

Rose Gomber
Mrs. Rose Gomber of Cross City passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the Cross City Rehab & Health Center. She was 93. She moved here 6 years ago from Venice, Florida.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Gomber of Jupiter, Timothy Gomber of Venice; daughter, Helen Laubach of Blairstown, New Jersey; sister, Ida Strohaber of Old Town. 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Julius Gomber and son, Thomas Gomber.
Memorial services for Mrs. Gomber will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Arrangements have been placed under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City.

Audrey Louise (Johnson) Edmonds
Audrey Louise (Johnson) Edmonds of Springhill, Fl passed away at her home on Thursday, March 16, 2006. She was 72 years old. She lived in Cross City most of her life and moved to Springhill 4 months ago. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her children; Barbara Shaver of Holiday, Fl, Louise Bolduc of Pasco, Fl, Linda Shoemaker of Springhill, Fl, Virginia Kline of Paco, Fl, Dorene Edwards of Pasco, Fl, Burton Carter of Pasco, Fl and Rita Fender of Lake City, Fl; 25 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 19, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Cross City with Rev. Lester Osteen and Rev. Pat Chewning officiating. Burial was at the East Elfers Cemetery in New Port Richey on Monday, March 20, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. A visitation was held Saturday, March 18, 2006 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Cross City.
Arrangements have been placed under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home, US Hwy 19, Cross City, Fl.

Arnold "Butch" Weichert
Mr. Arnold “Butch” Beichert, 64 years old, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2005 at his home in Old Town. He was born in Worchester, Massachusetts. He retired with the Florida Department of Corrections with 27 years. He was a college professor in Wisconsin, and photographer in South America where several of his photographs were published in Time magazine. As half of H & W Developers, he invented H & W control VTE Panchromatic film in the late 1960’s and patented it in 1973. Butch is an alumni of Penn State University, where he received his masters degree and teaching certificate in English. He was a member of the NRA, and FPOA. His hobbies included scuba diving, hunting, fishing, computers, and billiards. He will be missed by many for his quick whit and subtle charm.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Weichert of Old Town; son David (Charlotte) Boyd of Bushnell; daughter, Angel Ledesma of Ft. Hood, Texas, sister, Maxine Hulse of Beverly Hills; 3 grandchildren, Megan, Erin and Darryl.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 6, 2005 at 3:00 p.m at Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Cross City.
Arrangements are under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Cross City, FL, US Hwy. 19, (352) 498-5400.

Philip Craig Wilson
Philip Craig Wilson, 42, born on February 14, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio passed away April 4, 2006. Philip was a longtime resident of Florida, living his life in Tampa and later in Fort White. He resided in Athens, GA at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Pauline Rinker. He is survived by step-father, Kenneth G. Rinker; sons, Timothy Colby Wilson (18) and Alexander Blake Wilson (16); brother, Brian Paul Albertson; sister, Lehia Jean Wheeling; nieces and nephews, Cira Paulette Clements, Theresa Kellie Rinker, Christopher Mark Rinker, Kala Hope Rinker, David Louis Albertson and Amber Renee Albertson.
Funeral services were held Graveside, Monday, April 10, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Cedar Key Cemetery with Rev. Ray Sullivan officiating.
Arrangements were placed under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, US Hwy 19, Cross City, FL, (352) 498-5400.

Russell Keith Spillers, Sr.
Mr. Russell Keith Spillers, Sr. passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2004, at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. He was 72 years of age. Mr. Spillers moved to Old Town from Indiana ten years ago. He worked for the Car Bright Corporation for 20 years supplying steel mills. He was also a Baptist.
Mr. Spillers is survived by his wife of 51+ years, Lucia Spillers of Old Town, FL; sons Russell K. Spillers, Jr. and Garry Spillers, both of Lake Village, IN; brother Kenneth Spillers of Old Town, FL; sister Dorothy Brown of Titusville, FL.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 11, 2004 at 2:00 pm at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Archie Knowles officiating. Burial followed at Scrub Creek Cemetery. A visitation was held on Thursday, June 10, 2004 between the hours of 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Cross City, FL, US Hwy 19, (352) 498-5400.
