Cleo A. Kinnett
89, passed peacefully on December 13, 2014 with her husband (Maurice E. Kinnett Sr.) at her side. Cleo was born on August 25, 1925 in Madison, Indiana to Charles & Pearl Simmons. She spent most of her younger years growing up in Indiana where she soon met her Husband and Life Partner of 71 years. After going on a Blind date in 1943 th Cleo married Maurice while he was stationed she married shortly after in 1943 she married Maurice E. Kinnet Sr. in San Diego, CA where he was stationed at a Naval Base, Cleo soon learned that if Maurice was in the Army he would be home more and she would be able to go where he was stationed, so there it was He was now in the Army. Cleo was a supportive and loving military wife of 40 years to Maurice and was so proud of his service to his country and family. Mr. & Mrs. Kinnett moved to the Jacksonville Beach in 1969. Mrs. Kinnett was a Pre-School Teacher in Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra for years. Cleo was a part of several organizations over the years to include her favorites which are the Storytellers in Atlantic Beach, FL & The Over the Hill Crafters Club of the Beach. Most recently Cleo & Maurice had a 71st Anniversary where many close friends and family were able to attend and join them in such a wonderful celebration. She is predeceased by her son: Stephen L. Kinnett, Mrs. Kinnett is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Maurice E. Kinnett Sr., 2 daughters: Katie Kinnett & Patti Hollingsworth; 1 son: Maurice (Gaylyn) Kinnett Jr. 8 Grandchildren: Trevor, John, Hannah, Joanna, Deborah, Kimberly, Ashley & Justin. 11 Great Grandchildren & 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Darrell Ray Box (Beloved Husband, Father, Coach & Friend)
50, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on December 6, 2014. He was born in Moore, Oklahoma on July 26, 1964 to Homer Box Jr. and Phyllis Osburn. Darrell enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. "Box" was a phenomenal Baseball and Football coach in Jacksonville Beach for many years, In 2000 Coach Box lead the Jacksonville Beach Minor league Baseball team to the Florida State Championship and ending up runners up for overall Region Champions. The stories are endless about the impact he had on the children. Darrell was a loving husband to Robin, and an awesome Dad to Shawn, Chad & Kelsea. He was also a son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, in-law, friend, coach and veteran. Darrell served his country, family and community immeasurably.

Ms. Eva Julia Bass Coggins
July 22, 1930 - July 24, 2012
Navarre, Florida - Eva Julia Bass Coggins, 82, passed away on July 24, 2012. Eva was born in Jacksonville on July 22, 1930 to the late David John Bass and Hazel Martha Bucklew Bass. Eva was preceded in death by her husband William Frances Coggins (USAF Ret), son William Frances Coggins II (UF) and brother David Eugene Bass (Betty). Eva is survived by her sons Guy Kelly Coggins (Lorena) and Timothy M. Coggins (Lenor); grandchildren Jessica, Sean, Guy and Timothy; great-grandchild Isabella; sisters Pearl Anita Harvey and Bonnie Mae Weitzel (Gene); brothers William Curtis Bass (Chaleen) and John Lawrence Bass (Ayxita); Nieces and Nephews Mary, Duke, Sandy, David, Lou, Angela, Linda, Ronnie, Curtis, Sharon, Jason, Lisa, Michael, John, David, Bain, Aaron, Dale and Brandy; Eva also has numerous great nieces and nephews. Eva's favorite activities include reading, gardening, and spending time with family. Eva was patriotic and proud of the fact that her late husband of 48 years and surviving sons all retired from the U.S. Air Force. Eva was a member of the NCOA, AFSA, and supported numerous other Air Force activities to include the Air Force Memorial in Washington D.C. Family invites guests to attend a visitation on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Arlington Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville FL and a graveside service at Arlington Park cemetery that will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1 pm.

Ilene Touchton Goedert
On Thursday, January 26, 2012, Ilene Touchton Goedert, age 91, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones. A native of Valdosta, Georgia, she moved to Jacksonville with her family at age 6 where she resided for 85 years. A graduate of Lee High School, she was also an active member of the Jacksonville Garden Club for many years and a member of the Southside United Methodist Church for over 55 years. She was married to Alfred H. Goedert, Jr. for 63 years until his death in 2003.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Sandra Denkinger (Gary) of Fairfax, Virginia, Ann Jacobs (Richard) and Lucy Keeling (Danny) of Jacksonville and Dorothy Goedert of Houston, Texas; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 sister, Tooie Murray of Ft. Myers, Florida.
Visitation will be at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. on Monday, January 30 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, January 31 at Oaklawn cemetery with Pastor Bruce Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.

Mrs. Emma Waters Prevatt
March 18, 1915 - July 28, 2012
Jacksonville, Florida - Emma Waters Prevatt, 97 died peacefully on July 28th 2012. She was born March 18th 1915 in Seville, Florida She has been in Jacksonville since 1943.
Was a member of the Elks club, Morocco Shriner's Widowers club, and a active Bingo player. She was proceeded in death by her husband George, her son Harry and and great grandson Guy. Survivors Include her Son Larry O. Prevatt (Cheryl) of Jacksonville, Florida. 6 Grandchildren : Debra, David, Susan, Lorri, Jodie and Todd. 10 Great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ms. Estelle Jeanette Booker
April 14, 1956 - January 20, 2013
Jacksonville, Florida - Estelle Jeanette Booker, 56, Jacksonville, FL, passed away at her home, ending a five year journey with lung cancer, Sunday, January 20, 2013.
Estelle was born on April 14, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan, to Louis and Atheda Pearl Booker. She has six siblings, Eunice Colvin, Robert Colvin, Deborah Morris, Lucinda Bell (Roosevelt), Verl Booker and Muriel Roberts (Tim). Estelle was a retired veteran of the United States Navy. She served as a Dental Technician, in San Diego, California for 20 years and ended service to the country in Jacksonville, Florida as an IRS employee. She is survived by her only child, Angelique Johnson-Le'Gare (and husband, Alexander), her parents, siblings, cousins, a host of nieces and nephews and other loving family members. Among her many, good friends are Chris Donaway, Betty Williamson, Vernell Razor and Roslyn Harrell. She also leaves behind a very close friend, Dean Depleash. Estelle was memorialized in a private service on Tuesday, January 22.

Harry James Hills Sr.
Mr. Harry James Hills Sr., 73, passed away on June 12, 2013.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 42 years, Lillie M. Hills; his children, Vivian, Tecie (William), Darnella, Anita, Katina (Robert), Latoya, Bernard (Marian), Sebastian (Shirley), Harry Jr., Harriett, Marie, Victoria (Walter) and Kristina; sister Deborah (Robert) Davis; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends, among them his special goddaughter, April Thomas.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at West Friendship Baptist Church at 945 Carrie Street, Jacksonville, FL.

Nadine Cross Dolley
Nadine Cross Dolley, 91, passed away on January 7, 2012 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on August 20, 1920 in Millen, Georgia to Augustus S. Cross and Nancy Allman Cross, the youngest of eight siblings. After graduating from Millen High School, she attended the Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, GA.
After college, she worked for the government in Washington, D.C. and later, after her marriage, she worked in the banking field. She married William Henry “Bill” Dolley, Jr. on May 9, 1947 and was a Jacksonville resident for over 60 years, where she was a member of Arlington Presbyterian Church.
Nadine was a kindhearted person, who devoted herself to raising her three sons and always helping others. She displayed amazing strength, when taking on the roles of both mother and father after the tragic and unexpected death of her husband, when her children were still very young. She endured many trials and always rose to meet them and was the strength that bound her family together.
She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends, dancing, fishing with her girlfriends and long rides in the country. She stayed very active well into her 80’s.
Nadine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Henry “Bill” Dolley, Jr; 2 sons, William Frederick Dolley & David Gilman Dolley; her brothers Allen Cross, Charlie Cross, Earl Cross, George Cross, Gus Cross & Pete Cross and sister, Lula Cross.
She is survived by her loving son, Marchal “Neil” Dolley(Tracy); granddaughters Alisa Dolley Catanzaro & Erin Dolley Reed (Alex); great grandchildren Gage Wyatt Catanzaro, Gray Morgan Catanzaro, Emma Jill Reed & Lily Junco Reed and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held in George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. on Saturday January 14, 2012 from 10 am until 11 am. A funeral service will be held at the graveside in Evergreen cemetery Gate #5 on Saturday January 14, 2012 at 12:00 pm.

USN Lieutenant Commander(Retired) Howard Bill Christian
86, passed away peacefully at his home on December 2, 2014 with his family at his side. Bill was born on August 1, 1928 to Clarence & Lois Christian in Higginsville, Missouri where he spent most of his younger years. At 17 he enlisted in the Navy. In 1952 while stationed in Washington D.C., he met his life partner and wife, Erma Welch Christian. In 1953 they joined in holy matrimony in her hometown of Ft. Ashby, WV. LCDR Christian was highly decorated, served in the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired as a commissioned officer.
LCDR Christian, a loving husband and father, retired from the US Navy in 1974 and dedicated his time to his wife and children. His passions included golfing and traveling the world. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years Erma Christian, children: Pamela (Jeff) Kemp, Karen (Randy) McNeal, Michael (Krista) Christian, Mark Christian, Kells (Hunter) Christian, 13 grandchildren: Tempest Manthei, Kells Manthei, Clain Manthei, Monique Maione, Chrissy Maione, Ian Christian, Maris Christian, Meghann Koch, Morgan Christian, Mitch Christian, Coen Christian, Cameron Christian, Cole Christian, great grandchildren: Carson & Callie Koch and several step grandchildren. He will be remembered for his relentless love, care, compassion, generosity, sweet personality and kindness to everyone he knew. “Papa” will be missed.

Thelma Louise McCorkle
altThelma Louise McCorkle, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on February 24, 2012 at Orange Park Medical Center.
She was born in West Monroe, Louisiana on December 6, 1921 to Lawrence Frank and Thelma Louise Jowers.
She was a dedicated Navy wife to her first husband, Carl Carson, traveling back and forth across country to whatever ports he was assigned.
Louise was later married to William “Bill” McCorkle, who passed away in 1984.
Her employment in Jacksonville included being a Department Manager for Montgomery Ward, and a Bookkeeper for Franz Foreign Car Service.
She was a past member of the Daughters of the Nile in Jacksonville, and a regular visitor to the Orange Park Senior Center.
Music and dancing were things she always enjoyed. From dancing the Charleston in her younger years, to swinging with the Big Bands, to country line dancing later on, she was always eager to get on the dance floor.
Louise is survived by her sister, Shirley Sanderson of Moore, Oklahoma; her two sons, Larry Carson and his wife Rhina, of Orange Park and Gary Carson of Jacksonville; she is also survived by her two beautiful granddaughters, Vilma Sophia Carson and Gabriella Louise Carson; and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday February 28, 2012 from 6 until 8 pm at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. Jacksonville, FL 32216.
Interment will be private.

Cecilie T. Tull
84, passed on November 18, 2014. Cecilie was born on June 15, 1930 to Mauro &Lena DiGregario in Boston, Ma.
Although Cecile was born in Boston she spent her younger years in Rhode Island before moving to Atlantic Beach, FL. She is predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Kenneth Tull and her son Michael Tull her brother Joseph Di Gregorio. Cecilie is survived by her 2 sons Robert and Richard Tull, Several Nieces and Nephews as well as grandchildren. Most of her life she worked in Retail Sales and retired from this career. Some of Mrs. Tull’s favorite past times were long walks on the beach, reading books, and watching her beloved Jacksonville Jaguars and games hows on TV as well as traveling with her husband Ken while he was serving our country in the United States Navy. Mrs. Tull was a loving, caring and compassionate person. As a wife and mother she went above and beyond the call of duty as her husband did as while serving in the military. Cecilie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association Branch # 290.

Dorothy Floyd
Age 90, Born in Quincy, FL on January 28, 1924 passed October 15th, 2014, in Indianapolis, IN, after a long battle with a weak heart. Dorothy was born to Garland Dayton Prince and Lillian Irene Farnell Prince, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Floyd was also predeceased in death by sisters Kathleen, Beatrice, Montez, Mary and Irene. Dorothy is survived Brother: George Dayton Prince(Loretta), in Ormond Beach, Fla.: Son; Walter "Eddie" Floyd, Jr. (Shari) in Reno, NV; daughter Lillian Irene Wachtstetter (Joe) in Nineveh, IN. Also surviving her are 3 grandchildren, Josh & Amy Floyd, both in Reno, NV and Jason Prince Wachtstetter of Greenwood, IN She also leaves behind 9 great-grandchildren. Her son created the "Wynema Ranch Wild Horse Sanctuary", just outside of Reno, honoring his mother. They are saving wild Mustangs in the high deserts of Nevada.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Dorothy Wynema Memorial Fund, c/o Mutual Savings Bank, P O Box 94, Nineveh, IN 46164, (317) 933-2419 (317) 933-2419. Proceeds go directly to the funeral expenses related to getting Dorothy to her final resting place at Beaches Memorial Park, to lay next to her husband of 34 years, Captain Walter E. Floyd. Any excess funds will go directly to the Wynema Ranch.

Dorothy Mae Bellich
Age 87, went home to be with the lord on November 13, 2014, she was born June 29, 1927 in Lake City, Florida and shortly after moved to Jacksonville Beach and became a native here for several years. She is predeceased by her loving husband Michael Bellich (Married over 50 years). Mrs. Bellich is survived by 2 daughters; Cynthia Castleberry and Deborah Bellich 3 Grandchildren; Kelly (George) Linardos, Kyle Castelberry, Deborah Covert 6 Great Grandchildren; Brooke Covert, Octavia Linardos, George Linardos Jr., Kayla Castleberry, Kristin Castelberry, Cameron Castelberry.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Beaches Memorial Park cemetery in the Garden of Honor, 1500 Main Street, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233 (904)249-1166.
