Richard D. Redman, 74, of Inverness died Nov. 16, 2000, at Mariner Healthcare of Inverness. Born in Streator, Ill., on March 9, 1926, to the late Claude and Anna (McGrath) Redman, he came here 22 years ago from Tampa. He was a teacher with the Hillsborough County School System for 14 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in World War II. He was Protestant. Beatrice ‘‘Bea’’ Wolfe, 71, of Dunnellon, formerly of Dunedin, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born Sept. 24, 1929, in Marianna, she came to Dunnellon two months ago from Dunedin, where she retired after 30 years with the Spanish Gardens Nursing Home in Dunedin. She was a member of the Citronelle Baptist Church in Citronelle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Wolfe, who died in August, 1984. She is survived by three sons, Fred Mosley of Indianapolis, Ind., Gordon Wolfe of Holiday and Wayne Wolfe of Tarpon Springs; one daughter, Nita Caywood of Dunnellon; one brother, James Waldron of Dunnellon; one sister, Betty Hamilton of Dunnellon; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Inverness VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, where she served on the church council and the women’s guild, where she was past president. He was a retired sales engineer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Leroy McDaniel, 76, of Dunnellon
Leroy McDaniel, 76, of Dunnellon died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at Estelle’s House, Ocala. A native of Blacksburg, S.C., he came here in 1998 from Summerfield. He was a U.S. postal clerk, retiring in 1985, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He played the steel guitar for 20 years with Rainbow Connection Country Band of Ocala. He was active in the Belleview Moose Lodge. He was a member of Dunnellon Church of Christ. Merrill Hart McGlamery Sr., 75, of Dunnellon died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Born in Tampa on Dec. 4, 1924, to Joe and Hollie (Townsend) McGlamery, he came here more than 15 years ago from Florence, Colo. He was a graduate of Davidson College and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He retired from General Electric as an electronics engineer and was also involved in the manned space program. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army during World War II. Evelyn Collins, 84, of Inverness died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. Born in Kokomo, Ind., on Aug. 6, 1916, to Lew and Iva (Butler) Jordan, she came here in 1975 from there. She retired from Delco Electronics as an inspector. She was a Quaker. She was a saxophone musician. She was a member of the Musicians Union and the Inverness Golf and Country Club where she played saxophone with The Country Club Notes. She also had her own orchestra called the Evelyn Collins Orchestra in Kokomo, Ind. She is survived by one nephew, Chip and Maria Collins of Killeen, Texas; two nieces, Sherry and Randy Parker of Seminole and Patricia Koontz of Kokomo, Ind.; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was born in Pontiac, Mich., on June 6, 1920, to John and Elizabeth Sholte. He retired as a machinist for Trans Tube in Michigan. He retired to Lecanto in 1991 from Waterford, Mich. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Sholte, July 16, 1998.
