He was retired director of public works for the city of Lansing, Mich., after 30 years of service. He was a life member of the VFW Post 8189 in Homosassa; dedicated friend of the Post members at the VFW Post 4337 in Inverness; former member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 2013, Homosassa; and an avid CB Radio enthusiast. He was Protestant. Surviving are his wife, Vivian Ward of Crystal River; son, Calvin Eckerd of Williston; four daughters, Anita Schneider of Inverness, Dee Dubay of Holt, Mich., Judy Dotson of Crystal River, and Cindy Slack of Georgiana, Ala.; brother, Ivan Ward of Michigan; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Harold Raymond Ingraham, 67, of Inverness and South Haven, Mich., died Thursday, March 30, 2000, in Inverness. Born in South Haven, Mich., on July 30, 1932, he has been a winter resident to this area for the past five years. He retired from Bohn Aluminum of South Haven as a purchasing agent with more than 40 years of service. His memberships include the American Legion Post No. 49, Knights of Columbus Council No. 2594, both of South Haven, Mich., and the VFW Post No. 7122 of Floral City. He was Catholic. Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Juanita (Simpson) Ingraham; two sons, James of South Haven, Mich., and Douglas of Holland, Mich.; one daughter, Debra Dalton of Zeeland, Mich.; two brothers, Richard of South Haven, Mich., and Samuel of Fountain, Colo.; three sisters, Marion Occhiuto of Sutherlin, Ore., Edith Vader of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Judy Dodd of Denver, Colo.; and four grandchildren. James ''Jim'' Joseph Loos, 72, of Brandon, died Thursday, March 30, 2000, at Brandon Regional Hospital. Born in Coshocton, Ohio, he moved to the Tampa area in 1946 from there. He was a regional sales manager for Florida Steel Corp. retiring after 38 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Korean conflict. He was a life member of Sertoma International, Tampa. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa. Surviving are three sons, Jim of Homosassa Springs, Tom of Valrico and Bob of Brandon; five daughters, Mary Lynn Millikew of Clearwater, Julie Loos of St. Petersburg, Janice Nutt of Palm Harbor, Jeannie Sadowski of North Port, and Gail Parris of Brandon. Harold H. Roberts, 85, of Inverness died Friday, March 31, 2000. He was born in Dunnellon. He was a retired service station owner. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department, PTA, Civic Club and Lions Club all of Hernando; and a very active Hernando community leader. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Clearwater. Surviving are his wife, Mable Starling Roberts of Inverness; two sons, Henry Allen Roberts of Lakeland and Gail Arthur Roberts of Inverness; daughter, Myra C. Ruth Duggins, 79, of Beverly Hills passed away Saturday, April 8, 2000, at Surrey Place in Beverly Hills. She was born on May 1, 1920, in Chatham County, N.C., to George and Annie Southern. She was a waitress for the Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. for 37 years. She moved to Citrus County in 1995. She was Baptist. She is survived by her daughter, Madeline and her husband, Ray McAlister of Beverly Hills; a son, Donald A. Eslin and his wife Rose of Spotsylvania, Va.; one sister, Lucy Lakey of Maryland; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. John Henry Glandon, 76, of Inverness passed away Saturday, April 8, 2000, at his residence. Born in St. Louis, Mo., on July 30, 1923, to the late George A. and Oma (Branson) Glandon, he came here 20 years ago from Clearwater. Mr. Glandon was a retired home builder. He served our country in the U.S. Army/Air Corps in World War II. He was Baptist. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margaret A. Margie (Powell) Glandon; one son, George M. and his wife Jacquelyn Glandon of Wimauma; two daughters, Bonnie K. and her husband Harold Lamphear of Clearwater, and Penny M. and her husband David Galvin of Dunedin, and five grandchildren. Born in Rosedale, N.J., July 4, 1921, to Cecil and Edna (Wood) Blanchard, he came here 23 years ago from South Haven, Mich. He was a retired aviation mechanic. He attended the Luscombe and Casey Jones Schools of Aeronautics. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran with the 21st Fighter Squadron as a P-47 crew chief. He also worked at LaPerle Memorials, Pemberton Airboats and Bob's Welding. He attended the Floral City Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Nancy; one son, Walter E. He was Methodist. She was born on Bear Island, Leech Lake Indian Reservation, Minnesota, and moved to Inverness eight years ago from Federal Dam, Minn. Mrs. Kottmeyer was a retired licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Pillager Band, Leech Lake Reservation, Minnesota Chippewa Tribe. She was Lutheran. She was preceded in death by her son, Randall R. Gale in 1999; mother, Lillian Johnson Kottmeyer in 1999; father, Burt Gale Sr. in 1968; three brothers, Alvin ''Chuck'' Gale in 1947, Ronald Gale in 1992 and Vernon Lee Gale in 1972; and a sister, Betty Lou Mettler in 1980. She was a retired nursing home licensed practical nurse and a 50-year member of the Girl Scouts of America, where she served as leader and trainer. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
