Bette Irene Pado, 70, of Inverness died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Born in Titusville, Pa., on Sept. 21, 1929, to Fred J. and Ruth M. (Jackson) Corwin, she came here 13 years ago from Lake Wales. Mrs. Pado was Protestant. Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Church of Lake Wales; two grandchildren, John and Callie Church; and several nieces and nephews including: Johna Hornbuckle, Bob Ellis, Jimmy Ellis, Ronnie Ellis and Richard Ellis. Anthony J. Sacco, 76, of Dunnellon died Thursday, April 20, 2000, in Crystal River. Born in Summit, N.J., he came here in 1989 from Hamburg, N.J. He was a retired sheet metal welder. Mr. Sacco was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of American Legion, Dunnellon; VFW, Rainbow Lakes Estates; and past president of Rainbow Lakes Estates Horseshoe Club. He was Catholic. Surviving are his wife, Arlene Sacco of Dunnellon; daughters, Susan O'Patick and Loraine Laughlin both of Hamburg, N.J.: brother, Richard Sacco of West Palm Beach; and five grandchildren. Virginia Tomasheski, 66, of Hernando died Friday, April 21, 2000, at her residence under the loving care of her family and Hospice. She was born in Sayreville, N.J., and came here three years ago from West Palm Beach. Mrs. Tomasheski was a retired secretary for Standard Oil Co. She was a volunteer for the Citrus County Sheriff's Office. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills. Surviving are her husband, John Tomasheski of Hernando; son, John Tomasheski III of Loxahatchee; four brothers, Robert Szeles of Manalapan, N.J., John Szeles of Laurence Harbor, N.J., Peter Miller of Kutztown, Pa., and Michael Miller of New Jersey; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. James Wallace, 77, of Beverly Hills
James W. Wallace, 77, of Beverly Hills died Wednesday evening, April 19, 2000, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Feb. 5, 1923, to James and Mary Jacobs Wallace. He moved to Orlando at an early age and remained there for many years. He moved to Beverly Hills in 1997 from Palm Harbor. Mr. Wallace was a retired engineer for Florida Power Corporation. He was a U.S. Navy Korean war veteran. He was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md. Other memberships included the Navy League and the American Legion. He was Methodist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Wallace, in 1992. He is survived by his son, James B. Wallace of Tampa; and a brother, Thomas Wallace of Colorado Springs, Colo. Cheri L. Willis, 25, of Hernando died Tuesday, April 18, 2000. She was born in Gainesville and moved to Hernando in 1995 from Ocala. Mrs. Willis was a member of the Riverside Christian Fellowship. Cleopatra Zysopoulos, 75, of Southwood, S.C., died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at her home. She was born Jan. 2, 1925, in Hempstead, N.Y., a daughter of Gus and Olga Chingose Spiro. Mrs. Zysopoulos was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church. Willard M. Barnes, 74, of Homosassa died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at the Crystal River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crystal River. He was born on Nov. 26, 1925, to Floyd and Emma (Rose) Barnes in Caruthersville, Mo., and came here 12 years ago from there. He was a retired carpenter for the State of Michigan Department of Resources with 20 years of service. He was a member of the Center Line Masonic Lodge No. 550 in Royal Oak, Mich. He was a Shriner. He as a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran. He was a member and Sunday School superintendent for the Maple Grove Baptist Church in Mt. Clemens, Mich. Wayne Virgil Noland, 76, of Dunnellon died Sunday, April 23, 2000. He was born in Sevierville, Tenn., and came to this area in 1960. He was Baptist. He served with the U.S. Army in WW II. He worked for the Marion and Citrus County Sheriff's Department as well as serving as Dunnellon police chief. He is survived by two sons, Michael of Lecanto and Dale of Lake City; two daughters, Patricia Jackson of Dunnellon and Portia Guinn of Crystal River; one brother, John Nolan of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; one sister, Jane Whaley of Washington and six grandchildren. Born Jan. 7, 1925, to Joseph and Rose (Romano) Gigante in Staten Island, N.Y., she came here seven years ago from Largo, where she had retired after 26 years with General Electric Corp. in Largo. Mrs. Shalkowski attended St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Crystal River. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Shalkowski on April 27, 1986. David G. Dugger Sr., 62, died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at his home in Fitzgerald, Ga. He was born April 24, 1937, in Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Dugger was a heating and air technician. He was a former employee of the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville and the Summit Apartments in Fitzgerald, Ga. He was a 1955 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Atlanta, Ga. He served in the U.S. Air Force, Germany, 1955-59. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, Fitzgerald, Ga. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie W. She moved to Florida 28 years ago from Uncasville, Conn. She was employed with the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of the Point O' Woods Country Club. She also belonged to Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
