Forrest M. Weldon, 86, of Bradenton and Homosassa died Sunday, April 2, 2000, at his residence in Bradenton. He was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Tifton, Ga. He moved to Manatee County 41 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. He belonged to the Order of United Commercial Travelers and Crystal River Moose Lodge No.2013 in Homosassa. He was Christian. He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Weldon of Homosassa; three sisters, Carolyn Adcock of Suwannee, Sara Francis Bravey of Omega, Ga., and Juanita Selph of Jacksonville; three brothers, A.D. Weldon of Florence, Ala., Robert Weldon of Panama City and Russell Weldon of Fortson, Ga. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Bradenton.

William Chlebowski, 77, of Citrus Springs
William J. Chlebowski, 77, of Citrus Springs, died April 8, 2000 at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River. He was born May 25, 1922, in Mineola, N.Y. He moved here from Old Bridge, N.J., 11 years ago. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Citrus Springs. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Fidelity Council in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a World War II Army-Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Air Force Association and American Legion Post 58. He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, John Chlebowski of Austin, Texas, Paul Chlebowski of North Port; one daughter, Rita Ann Chlebowski of North Port; one brother, Ted Chlebowski of Mineloa, N.Y.; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

James Alvarez, 59, of Crystal River
James Mario Alvarez, 59, of Crystal River died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital. Born in Detroit, Mich., Mr. Alvarez came here one and a half years ago from Tulare, Calif. He was a retired paper maker for a paper company. He was Baptist. Surviving are his wife, Judy of Crystal River; four sons, Tom of Cayon Lake, Calif., Brian of Apollo Beach, Donnavon of Crystal River and Joey of Tampa; three daughters, Denise Alberigi of Plant City, Tracy Dechellis of Brandon and Kelly Sample of Apollo Beach; three brothers, David Thomas of Montezuma, Ind., Albert Alvarez of Puerto Rico and Steve Parker of Thonotosassa; one sister, Pat Menendez of Odessa; and four grandchildren. Raymond LaPointe, 76, of Port Richey
Raymond J. LaPointe, 76, of Port Richey died Monday, April 12, 1999, at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. Born in Berlin, N.H., on April 23, 1922, he was the son of Joseph and Emerilda (LeHouillier) LaPointe. He came from a family of 11 children. Prior to his retirement to Florida in 1977, he had been employed as a bench molder for the Taylor & Fenn Foundry in Windsor, Conn. He was a member of the American Legion in Windsor Locks and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. In Florida, he was employed by the Lake County School Board for 10 years as a head custodian. Mr. LaPointe was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in New Port Richey. Surviving are his wife, Terry, of Port Richey; his son, Ronald and daughter-in-law Nancy of Windsor Locks, Conn.; two daughters, Diane McCormick of Windsor Locks, Conn., and Denise O'Connor of Tolland, Conn.; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. Lucille ''Chris'' Rhodes, 79, of Lake Panasoffkee died Tuesday, April 27, 1999. She was born in Cairo, Ga., and came to Lake Panasoffkee 25 years ago from Fort Lauderdale. Mrs. Rhodes was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lake Panasoffkee. She was the wife of the late Mr. Mike Rhodes, who died on Aug. 19, 1994. Surviving are her son, William (Ruby) C. Laing of Lake Panasoffkee; three daughters, Ruby (Charles) Lettiere of Cooper City, Catherine Trivigno of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Linda (Gary) Allen of Bartow; a sister, Hazel Carter of Lake Okeechobee; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Donald L. Ames, 66, of Inverness died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at Tampa General Hospital. He was born March 5, 1934, in Geneva, Ohio. He was a loom operator for Lindsey Wire and Weaving in Mentor until its closing. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Irene (Duncan) Ames. John P. ''J.P.'' Garner, 62, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, in Crystal River. He was born in Atlanta. He moved here 30 years ago from Dacatur, Ga. He retired four years ago from the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park. He was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Army division. He was a member of the Atlanta Skydivers Club, a woodcarver and taxidermist. He also captured wild animals for the first zoo in Brazil. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Peck Garner of Homosassa; one daughter, Dawn Hummer of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Ryan H. of McIntosh County, Ga., David H. of Charlston, S.C. and two granddaughter, Holly and Chelsea. He was supervisor at Casualty Insurance Company of New York, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Beverly Hills Recreation Club and he was a professional ballroom dancer. He was Catholic. Mrs. Belock was a World War II U.S. Army R.N. lieutenant in the Medical Corps. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa, the First United Methodist Women's Group, AARP, and the Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club and was an avid golfer. Mrs. Carlson was a retired seamstress and member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
