Henry William Vander Horn, 61, of Delhi, Iowa, and Brooksville, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at his home in Brooksville.
He was born in Muscatine, Iowa, and was a seasonal resident of Cloverleaf Forest in Brooksville for 25 years. He worked at his parents' grocery store in Delhi and was active in Cloverleaf Forest community activities. He was a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his mother, Viola Vander Horn of Delhi and also a seasonal resident of Brooksville; a brother, Don Vander Horn of Holiday Island, Ark.; and a sister, Pat Guertin of Muscatine.

Doris "Dot" Ruth Lambert, 82, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.
She was born in Erie, Pa., and moved to this area 19 years ago from Absecon, N.J. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Grover; two sons, Thomas A. Lambert of Palm City and Donald F. Lambert of Mays Landing, N.J.; a daughter, Susan J. Remvidas of Port Richey; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Robert F. Armstrong, 95, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Flint, Mich., and moved to this area six years ago from Pinellas Park.
Mr. Armstrong was a retired financial director and comptroller and attended Spring Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; a son, William Armstrong of Gladwyn, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

Beamer "Tex" Burley, 86, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at the Hospice Care Center in Brooksville.
He was born in Richmond, Va., and came here three years ago from Tampa. He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed trains.
Survivors include his caregiver, Samantha Martinez of Spring Hill.

Dorothy V. Harris, 69, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Jersey City, N.J., and moved to this area two years ago from Tampa. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Harris Sr.; three sons, Joseph Harris Jr. of Tampa, William R. Harris Sr. of Thonotosassa and Michael Henry Harris of New Port Richey; three daughters, Toni Eberly of Spring Hill, Debra Fernandez of Las Vegas, Nev., and Maria Harris of Tampa; a brother, Carl Albern Sr. of Bradley Beach, N.J.; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Carole Liotta, 73, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005 at her home.
She was a native of Queens, N.Y. and moved to this area 13 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. She was retired from St. Anne's Catholic School in Brentwood, N.Y. after 22 years of secretarial service. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill.
Survivors include her three sons, Michael Liotta of Mooresville, N.C., Gerard Liotta of Brentwood, N.Y., and Thomas Liotta of Holtsville, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.

Almerinda "Mildred" Gioscia, 85, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at her home.
She retired after working 30 years with Chemical Bank in New York City, enjoyed spending special times with family and friends and was Roman Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her two sons, Joseph Gioscia of Phoenix, Ariz., and Gerard Gioscia of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a daughter, Marietta Gulino of Spring Hill; a sister, Marie Wilk of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Enelida Melendez, 63, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, while visiting in Illinois.
She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to this area 18 years ago from her native Puerto Rico. She was a Catholic by faith and attended St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include a brother, Ramon Melendez of Hollywood, Fla.; six sisters, Emma DaSilva, Aurea Ortiz, Ada DaSilva and Olga McKinley, all of Spring Hill, Blanca Ortiz of Massachusetts and Miriam Wandt of Illinois; and many nieces and nephews

Jean Shupp, 70, of Pennsylvania, formerly of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at LeHigh Valley Hospital, Pennsylvania.
She was born in Hazelton, Pa., and moved to Florida 22 years ago from Freeland, Pa. She was a homemaker, a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Freeland and the Pennsylvania Club in Florida, and was a Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Myers of New Port Richey and Sandra Shupp of Freeland; a son, Edward Shupp of Nazareth, Pa.; a brother, Richard of Freeland; and seven grandchildren.

Mary J. Dick, 80, of Brooksville, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Heartland of Brooksville.
She was born in Huntington, W.Va., and moved to this area five years ago from St. Petersburg. She was a homemaker and a member of the PBX Club, Moose Lodge Auxiliary, Historical Society and Albright Methodist Church, all of St. Petersburg.
Survivors include two daughters, Victoria Dick of Brooksville and Mary Jane Shauan of Hobe Sound, Fla.; and an aunt, Blanche Gould of San Antonio, Texas.

Elizabeth A. "Liz" Morgan, 85, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Alterra Sterling House, Spring Hill.
She was born in Glassport, Pa., and moved to this area 18 years ago from Glassport. She was a homemaker, foster mom for Catholic Charities, caring for 20 little girls until adopted. She was a member of DAV Auxiliary Chapter 67, Brooksville, and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Joseph of North Huntington, Pa.; a daughter, Diane Webb of Tampa; three brothers, Joseph Kollar and George Kollar, both of Glassport, and Edward Kollar of Clairton, Pa.; five sisters, Bertha Kunz of Spring Hill, Anna Mae Karija of Tampa, Rita Milcic of Conway, Pa., Irene Kaczka of Liberty Boro, Pa., and Mildred Basista of Titusville, Fla.; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter.

Alfred H. Kinney, 85, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at his home.
He was born in Burlington, Vt., and moved to this area recently from South Hero, Vt. As a design engineer and supervisor, he worked for the G.E. Co., Schenectady, N.Y., the Martin Marietta Corp., Baltimore, Md., and McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo, from which he retired after 15 years of service as an aeronautical engineer. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a member of Duncan Methodist Church, past president of the Kingsville, Md. Rotary Club, and was actively involved in farming.
Survivors include his wife, Margie M.; three sons, Douglas N. Kinney of Spring Hill, Dr. Hugh A. Kinney of Chesterfield, Mo., and Scott R. Kinney of Warrenton, Mo.; a daughter, Suzanne K. Schultz of Wellsville, Pa.; two brothers, Hollis F. Kinney of Kissimmee and Alan K. Kinney of South Hero; a stepson, K. Richard Kell of Baltimore; 16 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth W. Borger, 77, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 at her home. Born in Highland Park, Mich., she moved to Florida in 1985 from West Bloomfield, Mich. She was a retired piano teacher and a Protestant. She is survived by three sons, Harold W. Rix of Warwick, R.I., James F. Rix of Allegan, Mich. and Robert G. Rix of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two daughters, Dena J. Radley of Scottsville, Va., and Mary Ellen Rix of Pensacola; a brother, Frederick Wells of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; and five grandchildren. Arrangements by National Cremation Society in Brooksville.

Barbara Griffith, 93, of Hudson, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at West Pasco Hospice Center in Hudson. Born in Detroit, she came here 16 years ago from Ann Arbor, Mich. She was a licensed practical nurse, a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 99 of Brooksville and St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Survivors include her son, William Kalen, of Brooksville; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Dorothy L. Underwood, 83, of Brooksville, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit in Brooksville. She was born in Martinsville, Ind. and came here in 1983 from California. She was a member of the Brooksville First Christian Church.
She is survived by her sister, Thelma Frounfelter of Santa Maria, Calif.; two nephews, David Frounfelter of San Diego and Larry Frounfelter of Santa Maria.

David Wayne Moore, 42, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005 at his home.
He was born in Orlando and came here 20 years from Tupelo, Miss. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a registered nurse by profession. He graduated from Pasco-Hernando Community College and worked at Spring Hill Regional, Brooksville Regional, Oak Hill and Community hospitals.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia Rewis of Spring Hill; sisters, Sgt. Jennifer Collins of New Port Richey and Afghanistan and Pamela Higginbotham of Amory, Miss.; grandmother, Agnes Varga of Spring Hill; brother, Shawn Rewis of New Port Richey; four nephews; and one niece.

James "Mack" Kendall, 86, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005 at Hospice Care Center in Brooksville.
He was born in Hiawassee, Ga., and came here 44 years ago from Georgia. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Hiawassee. He spent most of his life working various jobs in the trucking industry. He worked at A.G. Wimpy, Floyd Beck and CFE Trucking here in Brooksville.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Wilson of Brooksville and Judy Bishop of Istachatta; a son, Robert "Doug Kendall of Hiawassee; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Walter Campbell, 85, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He was born in Narvel, Ky., and moved to the area 22 years ago from Ohio.
Mr. Campbell was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served during World War II, fought in the Battle of the Bulge and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the Brooksville chapter of Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Jo; daughters, Diane Smith, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Barbi Jo Brown, of Dallas.

He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to Florida 35 years ago from New York. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the American Legion in Clearwater, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Arlene "Pat" Reynolds of Princeton; two sons, James of Buffalo, N.Y., and Alan of Clearwater; a sister, Gene Jero of Clearwater; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was born in Hartford, Conn., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Trumbull, Conn. He retired from The Bullard's Company, Bridgeport, Conn., after 44 years of service. He was a lifelong member (over 50 years) of the Masonic Lodge in Connecticut and a Protestant by faith.
