Herbert Waldemar Schneider
Herbert Waldemar Schneider, 67, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001 at his caregiver's home.
Born in Somerville, N.J., he moved to this area 11 years ago from Los Gatos, Calif. He was a retired electrical engineer; a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; a graduate of the University of Miami with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; a licensed professional engineer; a member of the Good Government League and the Hernando Computer Club, the I.S.E.E.; a senior member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers; past advisory board member of the Seven Hills Homeowner's Association; and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; two sons, John Robert of Lemon Grove, Calif. And James Edward of Spring Hill; a daughter, Mary Leeta Cooley of Tarpon Springs; a brother, Robert Roger of Miami; and three grandchildren.

Arlene Bernice Butcher
Arlene Bernice Butcher, 62, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital.
Born in Washington, D.C., she moved to this area 19 years ago from Dunkirk, Md. She was retired from C and P Telephone, Washington, D.C.; a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; and a Methodist by faith.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; a daughter, Deborah of Spring Hill; and a brother, John Cryer of Spring Hill.

Natalie M. GaNun, 94, of Hernando Beach, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at the Forest Glen Lodge, Assisted Living Facility, New Port Richey.
She was born in Newburgh, N.Y., and moved to this area five years ago from Massapequa Park, N.Y. She was a homemaker, attended the Parsons School of Design in New York City, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include two sons, James V. GaNun Jr. of Hernando Beach and Joseph GaNun of Marlton, N.J.; two daughters, Judith Colton and Jane Bender, both of Southold, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Arthur E. Benore, 83, of Brooksville, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at his home.
He was born in Port Clinton, Ohio, and moved to this area 18 years ago from Okeechobee, Fla. He was a U.S. Army and Navy veteran, having served in World War II and Korea. He was Protestant by faith and a member of Grace Brethren Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; three daughters, Merrilee Wentz and Jill Welsted, both of Brooksville, and Ardith Miller of Clearwater; two sisters, Evelyn Meinke and Dorothy Hunter, both of Port Clinton; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Junius "Pee Wee" Carter Austin, 62, of Brooksville, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at Brooksville Health Care Center.
He was born in Floral City and moved to this area 34 years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Tyrone Carter of Brooksville and Terry Gordon of Fort Lauderdale; a daughter, Tiffany Carter of Brooksville; two brothers, Willie Austin of Winter Haven and Mays Austin of Tampa; and five sisters, Minnie Mandy, Labertha Cohens and Eddie Range, all of Tampa, Alice Jones and Lillian Bryant of Ocala.

Lloyd Orlando Thorson Jr., 65, of Spring Hill, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
He was born in Roscoe, S.D., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Dearborn, Mich. He was a retired police officer from the City of Dearborn Police Department. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Williams of Wyandotte, Mich., and Stacey Thorson of Spring Hill; and two grandchildren.

Laura Lynn DeForest, 49, of Brooksville, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at her home.
She was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Washington, D.C. She was a lobbyist for the Federal Government and attended Kingdom Hall, Brooksville.
Survivors include her mother, Joy DeForest of Spring Hill; a son, Joseph Regensburger of Spring Hill; her lifetime partner, James Buchanan of Brooksville; two daughters, Andrea Caraglior and Jayme Regensburger, both of Hamden, Conn.; a brother, Raymond D. DeForest of Hernando Beach; a sister, Cheryl DeForest of Burnsville, N.C.; and three nieces.

Ernest C. Hoyland, 78, of Brooksville, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Moston-Manchester, England, and moved to this area 16 years ago from Sterling Heights, Mich. He retired from Progressive Stamping Company, Royal Oak, Mich., and was a member of the Royal Air Force and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; a son, John Michael Hoyland of Brooksville; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a sister, Louise Estep of Huntington, W.Va.; a brother, William Johnston of Huntington; and a niece, Mary Clifton of Brooksville.

Everett 'Moe' Moshier, 59, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at his home under the care of Hospice.
He was born in Paterson, N.J., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Lincoln Park, N.J. He was a retired mechanic in the hydraulic business, a member of American Legion Post 450, Pequannock, N.J. and American Legion Post 174, Wayne, N.J., and attended Our Father's House, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Carolee; two sons, Corey Blank and Shawn Blank, both of Pompton Plains, N.J.; two daughters, Dawn Riley of Wayne and Lauren Weaver of Spring Hill; and 10 grandchildren.

Linda Lee Ceballos, 60, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.

Survivors include a son, Brian Riviere of Spring Hill; a daughter, Jean Riviere of Hollywood; a brother, Grant Thomas of Milwaukee; and a grandchild.

Lucille Mobley Mitchell, 79, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at Tangerine Cove, Brooksville.
She was born in Ocala and was a lifelong resident of Brooksville. She was a member of the Josephine Church of the Living God.
Survivors include a son, Clarence S. of Brooksville; a stepdaughter, Lucille Young of Spring Hill; a brother, Hal D., Jr. of Brooksville; two sisters, Ella Mae Lewis of Miami and Lillie Mae Fagin of Brooksville; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was born in Baltimore, Md., and moved to this area 23 years ago from St. Petersburg. He was a retired machinist with Black & Decker, Maryland, for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Donald of Ocala and Wayne of California; a daughter, Diane Ward of Maryland; and four grandchildren.

Eleanor H. Smith, 77, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at her home.
She was born in Shenandoah, Pa., and moved to this area eight years ago from Bushnell. She was a retired foster parent for Florida Children's Home Society and a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include her husband, Wilfred; a daughter, Sharon Bove of Athens, Ga.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Norman Watrous, 74, of Brooksville, died Saturday, March 15, 2003 at Heron Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He moved here 27 years ago from his native Groton, N.Y.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice; three sons, Stephen of Canton, N.Y., Gary of Groton, N.Y., and Alan of Brooksville; and a daughter, Sue Downes, of Cortland, N.Y.

William Sawyer, 32, of Darby, died Friday, March 14, 2003 in an automobile accident.

He is survived by his wife, Schelena; two sons, William and Dalton of Darby; and his parents, James and Helen Sawyer of Darby.

Luke Buettner, 24, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003 in an automobile accident.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio, and moved to Spring Hill in 1981.
He was a graduate of Springstead High School's Class of 1996, where he played varsity baseball. He was a pitcher that would later go on to play at Daytona Beach Community College, where he was named All Conference Closer.
He is survived by his mother, Carol of Spring Hill and father, Jim of Sarasota.

Janet Hoskins Decker, 45, of Brooksville, died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Coral Gables and moved to this area 33 years ago from Miami. She was the co-owner and operator of Seabreeze Oxygen and Medical Supply, Inc., Brooksville for 10 years and an active member of Stage West Community Playhouse for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Xavier; a brother, Eugene T. Hoskins of Brooksville; and a sister, Jill L. Hoskins of Orlando.

Esther Irene Thompson, 94, of Spring Hill, died Monday, March 3, 2003 at Forest Oaks Care Center, Spring Hill.
She was born in Bloomington, Ill., and moved to this area 35 years ago.
