Catholyn Westerblade, 81, of Brooksville, died Thursday, March 22, 2001 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area five years ago from Ruskin. She was a housewife, a member of VFW Post 6287, The Moose, and The Elks Lodge, all of Ruskin, and a Roman Catholic by faith.
Survivors include four sons, Paul of Brooksville, Edward of New York, George of Delray Beach and Billy of Haupauge, Long Island, N.Y.; two daughters, Katherine of Tarpon Springs and Doris of California; a brother, William Quenzer of Brooksville; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Emery Wayne Smith
Emery Wayne Smith, 79, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at Hernando Hospice House, Brooksville.
He was born in Carroll County, Ind., and moved to this area five years ago from Indiana. He retired from the family-owned and operated Smith Construction Company, Lafayette, Ind., after 20 years of service. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving with the Army Paratroopers, and a member of the VFW, Lafayette.
Survivors include three sons, Lee W. of Ocala, Larry D. of Taylor, Ark., and Allen W. of Spring Hill; five daughters, Diana M. Lane and Tina D. Hammel, both of Mulberry, Ind., Vickie L. Warren and Patricia A. Hargraves, both of Spring Hill, and Gloria E. Hoffa of Attica, Ind.; a brother, Max; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Adelaide J. Crabbs, 77, of Hudson, died Friday, March 26, 2004 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Kingston, Pa. and came to this area eight years ago from Pompano Beach. She was a Catholic by faith and retired as the first female personnel director of the Defense Department for the State of Maryland. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Deerfield Beach, enjoyed playing golf and cards and was an avid boating enthusiast. She also devoted much time to many Masonic Charities.
She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren.

Mary A. Wolfert, 91, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at her home.
She was born in Sicily, Italy, and moved to this area five months ago from Kissimmee. She was the owner/operator of Marilyn's Beauty Salon and a real estate company, both in Queens, N.Y. She attended the Wilford Academy of Beauty in Manhattan, N.Y., and real estate school for sales and brokering. She was Roman Catholic by faith.
Survivors include two brothers, Anthony Amodeo of Spring Hill and John Amodeo of Lake Worth; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Harold C. Hickman, 80, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at his home.
He was born in Glouster, Ohio and moved to this area 27 years ago from Woodbridge, N.J. He was a member of Trinity Church of Woodbridge, N.J. and was employed for 30 years with Copper Works in Perth Amboy, N.J. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Rita, of Brooksville; a son, Dr. Graham Hickman of Corpus Christi, Texas; a daughter, Rosalind Valetutto of Colonia, N.J.; brother Jim Cevolo of Florida; and three grandchildren.

Ann A. D'Alcamo, 83, of Spring Hill and formerly of Pinellas Park, died Thursday, March 7, 2002 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. Born in Trevorton, Pa., she moved to Pinellas Park 28 years ago from Staten Island, N.Y., and recently moved to Spring Hill due to illness to live with her son. She was a retired bank teller for City Bank and a Protestant by faith. She is survived by her son, Peter of Spring Hill and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Walter M. Harrison, 90, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, March 9, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital. Born in Rochester, N.Y., he has been a winter resident of this area for 19 years. He was a retired broadcast engineer in radio and television, a member of the Spring Hill Music Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill. He is survived by his wife, Alice of Rochester, N.Y. and winter resident of Spring Hill; two sons, Murray W. of Meridian, Conn., and Richard A. of Rochester, N.Y.; two grandsons, Derek Greten-Harrison and Becket Greten-Harrison; and a sister, Florence H. Catherine S. Collins, 73, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, March 7, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital. Born in Irvington, N.J., she moved to this area 14 years ago from Somerset, N.J. She was an insurance writer and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, George R.; a daughter, Peggy Jelley of Edison, N.J.; a son, George R. Jr. of South River, N.J.; three sisters, Bertha Bartek and Dorothy Boccadutre, both of Spring Hill and Elizabeth Whipp of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, Charles Barney of Las Vegas, Nevada and John Barney of Seattle, Wash.; and six grandchildren. Earl A. Schneider, 80, of Spring Hill, died Friday, March 8, 2002 at the Hospice Care Center, Brooksville. Born in St. Louis, Mo., he moved to this area 21 years ago from Bloomfield, Mich. He was a retired general service manager with Detroit Diesel Co., Detroit, Mich.; a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, Spring Hill. He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Hults of Lafayette, Colo., and a niece, Patricia Rice of Boulder, Colo. Arrangements by Wellwood/Grace Funeral Home and Cemetery.

Ruth Kanthack, 69, of Brooksville, died Friday, March 8, 2002 at Hospice Care Center, Brooksville. Born in Chicago, Ill., she moved to this area 18 years ago from there. She was a Lutheran and enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Frederick C.; four sons, Donald and Willard Horn, both of Tinley Park, Ill., and Chris Horn of Chicago Heights, Ill. and Tracy Horn of Lowell, Ind.; three daughters, Penny Jett of Sebring, Bonnie Oswald of Crestwood, Ill. and Tammy Parks of Lowell, Ind.; a brother, Leonard Schultz of Columbia; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Marcella J. Mitten, 68, of Spring Hill, died Friday, March 21, 2003 at The Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.
She was born in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area seven years ago. She retired after a teaching career in Long Island, N.Y. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Walter; two sons, Christopher and Douglass, both of East Norwalk, Conn.; a daughter, Melissa Guardaro of Valley Cottage, N.Y.; a brother, Don Savino of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dolores X. Augustynowicz, 69, of Brooksville, died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at her home.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 35 years ago from Closter, N.J. She was a secretary and a Catholic by faith.
There are no known survivors.

Clarence E. Lindow, 74, of Spring Hill, died Monday, March 24, 2003 at James Haley VA Hospital, Tampa.
He was born in Binghamton, N.Y., and moved to this area seven years ago from Matamora, Ind. He was a retired forklift operator for Knuff Fiberglass, Shelbyville, Ind. after 15 years of service. He also retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service, serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a life member of VFW Post 10137 and served in the Honor Guard. He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles and the Moose.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta; a son, Lindell of Fairland, Ind.; four daughters, Clarenca Lindsay of Fayetteville, N.C., Tewinca Slay of St. Roberts, Mo., Hollie Bartle of Nokomis, Ill., and Lindella Thomas of Moss Point, Miss.; two stepsons, Donald St. Pierre of Hudson and Ivan Horne of Ridge Manor; five stepdaughters, Lorraine Chabre of Ridge Manor, Joann Gervais and Patsy Zahnd, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and Nancy Bouchard and Ann Gillend, both of Auburn, Maine; a brother, Stanley of Susquehanna, Pa.; two sisters, Doris Tracy of Burlington, Vt., and Louise; 28 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Rose Vincenti, 76, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Boston, Mass., and moved to this area nine years ago from Pembroke, Mass. She worked in the fashion industry. She was a member of the Ladies of the Knights of Columbus and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her son, Edward of Tuftonboro, N.H.; a grandson; four granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

Mildred DiMartino, 87, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Union General Hospital, Georgia.
She was born in Haskel, N.J. She was employed as a sewing machine operator. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Spring Hill, Eastern Star and AMARANTH, a Masonic affiliation, and was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Nick of Suches, Ga., and Ralph of Coconut Grove; two brothers, Anthony Schiavo of Clifton, N.J., and Albert Schiavo of Belleville, N.J.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Charles Lewis Hagerman, 79, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.
He was born in Racine, Wis., and moved to this area 10 years ago from Plant City. He worked at Food Machinery Corp., Lakeland. He was a World War II and Korean War U.S. Army veteran and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include three sons, Steven James of Wisconsin, Michael John of Plant City and Brett Lewis of Ohio; three daughters, Susan Gail of Bradenton, and Kimberly Jean Thomas and Kathe Beth McCurry, both of Plant City; a sister, Gertrude Westphal of Lombardo, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Lettie Maude Hawkins, 82, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Toms Creek, Va., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Coeburn, Va. She retired as county treasurer with Coeburn city government and served on the Coeburn Town Council in 1979. She was the recipient of the Victor E. Martinelli Outstanding Treasurers Award 1984 by the County Treasurers and Finance Officers of the U.S., a lifetime member and Treasurer of the Year 1987, Treasurers Association of Wise County, Va., and Fine Arts Foundation, Coeburn, and 1984 Outstanding Service Award, and a Presbyterian by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Cowling of Spring Hill; two brothers, Sidney Couch of Spring Hill and Joel Couch of Fort Walton Beach; and two grandchildren.

Mario Foresi, 76, of High Point, Brooksville, died Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Clymer, Pa., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Southgate, Mich. After 25 years as a letter carrier, he was employed by Ford Motor Company as a welder repairman for over 20 years. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a past member of the VFW, Michigan, and the High Point Lions, and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Rick of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Marc of Flat Rock, Mich.; three daughters, Sandra Nelson of Grosse Isle, Mich., and Vicki Zeleji of Southgate, Mich., and Nancy LaPorte of Riverview, Mich.; two brothers, Serge of Howell, Mich., and Anthony of Allen Park, Mich.; a sister, Lucile Pascarella of Southgate; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jack C. Sackett, 79, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Hallstead, Pa., and moved to this area five years ago from Norwick, N.Y. He was the police chief of the Norwich Police Department. He served in the U.S. Marines with the Raider Battalion, the Betio and Tarawa Campaigns, and was in several battles in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Rotary, the Indian Iroquois League, and Philatic Society, attended New Beginnings Life Church, and was a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannine; two daughters, Valerie Wood of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Colleen Sackett of Oxford, N.Y.; a brother, Edward of Utah; a sister, Gloria Coffan of Voorhees, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Robert Hurst, 48, of Hernando Beach, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at his home.
He was a native of Easton Md. and a Tampa Bay area resident for the past 27 year. He moved to Hernando Beach two years ago from St. Petersburg.
Hurst was an Elder at the Word of Life Temple church in St. Petersburg. He was also the choir and youth director as well as songwriter and drama director.
Hurst was a self-employed computer systems architect. His most recent project was redesigning the ticket system for the Long Island Railroad in New York.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannine; a daughter, Lauren Ashley Hurst, Clearwater; son, Paul Owne Franklyn, Hernando Beach; his parents, Robert and Ruth Hurst, Sr., Port Richey; sister, Renee Hurst, Port Richey; mother-in-law, Lorraine DeBuhr, Zillwood; and grandson, Jonathon Brice Hurst, Clearwater.

Mildred Ehlers, 89, of Spring Hill died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital.
Ehlers was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., a homemaker and a Presbyterian by faith.
Survivors include her son, Robert Ehlers of Spring Hill; two granddaughters, Lynn Setelius and Kellry Azevedo; one grandson, William Ehlers; and two great grandchildren.

Mington Dewitt Davis, 78, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at his home.
Born in Bequia-St. Vincent, West Indies, he moved here 14 years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a retired merchant marine, a member of the Masonic Continental Lodge #287 F&AM in New York and an Episcopalian by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie.

Alberta M. Kindred, 88, of Brooksville, died May 29, 2002 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
Kindred was born in Vandalia, Mo. and moved to this area in 1947 from Michigan. She was a homemaker and Methodist.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffery Kindred, of Spring Hill, and Gary Cline, of Brandon; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by the National Cremation Society of Brooksville.

Mary M. O'Brien, 63, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at her home.
O'Brien was born in St. Louis, Mo. and came here 33 years ago from St. Louis. She was a Catholic, a homemaker and a truck driver.
Survivors include her friend and caregiver, Marie A. Baxter, of Spring Hill; a sister-in-law, Dorothy O'Brien, of House Springs, Mo.; and several nieces and a nephew.

David R. Papa, 60, of Brooksville, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
Born in Maspeth, N.Y., he moved to this area 32 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was a school teacher and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy of Brooksville; two sons, David and Daniel of Brooksville; two daughters, Lisa Peeler and Donna Smith of Brooksville; his mother, Clara of Brooksville; a brother, Robert of Dunedin; and seven grandchildren.
