Carl Ries, 81, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, died Friday, May 11, 2001 at his home.
He was born in Germany and moved to this area 22 years ago from Long Island, New York. He was a retired engineer department manager, a member of Tau Beta Pi honorary engineering society, Eta Kappa Nu, honorary engineering society, I.E.E.E., and Faith Evangelical Free Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; a son, William of Homosassa; a daughter, Diane Clark of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mildred Mauthe of Sidney, Maine; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Charles Edward Murray
Charles Edward Murray, 76, of Hudson, died Saturday, May 12, 2001 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.
He was born in Berea, Ohio, and moved to this area 12 years ago from Canandaigua, N.Y. He was a retired machinist, a member of Moose Lodge 1048, Canandaigua, and Knights of Columbus 5850, Port Richey, life member of VFW Post 8681, Shady Hills, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick of Rochester, N.Y., and Lawrence of Bluff Point, N.Y.; a daughter, Jacqueline Lukasik of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Charlotte Davis of De Funiak Springs, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Edna B. Alfano, 68, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, May 12, 2001 at her home.
She was born in Long Island, N.Y., and moved to this area 11 years ago from Huntington, Conn. She was a ceramic shop owner, a member of Spring Hill Lanes and Mariner Lanes bowling leagues, Spring Hill, and attended St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two sons, John, Jr. of Stratford, Conn., David of Bridgeport, Conn., and Ricky of Oxford, Conn.; two daughters, Shari Russell and Karen Alfano, both of Spring Hill; and three grandsons.

Gilbert Thomas Badillo, 55, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, May 12, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and moved to this area two years ago from Kenosha, Wis. He was a pharmaceutical chemical operator and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; a son, Keith of Kenosha; a daughter, Tracy Fletcher of Spring Hill; two brothers, Robert and Mario, both of Kenosha; and a sister, Alice of Anaheim, Calif.

Mary Teresa Bussie-Mross
Mary Teresa Bussie-Mross, 45, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, May 13, 2001 at her home.
She was born in Gary, Ind., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Portage, Ind. She had taught school at Westside Elementary, Hernando Christian Academy and West Hernando Christian School and was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph J.; a daughter, Arlyne L. of Spring Hill; her parents, Wally and Edie Bussie of Spring Hill; and a sister, Calista L. White of Indianapolis, Ind.

Donald Michael Angel
Donald Michael Angel, 45, of Spring Hill, died Friday, May 11, 2001 at Whispering Pines Nursing Center, New Port Richey.
He was a native of Chicago, Ill., and moved to this area 11 years ago from Oak Brook Terrace, Ill. He attended St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Christine; his mother, Minette Jenkins of Spring Hill; a brother, John of Palm Harbor; and an aunt, Virginia Ardella of Spring Hill.

Christian William Kirchner, 81, of Ocala, died Sunday, May 13, 2001 at Hospice Care Unit, Brooksville.
He was born in Howells, N.Y., and moved to this area recently from Middletown, N.Y. He was a retired salesman for a retail store, a member of Elks Lodge, Middletown, and Morton Hill Hunting Club, Roscoe, N.Y., Howells Fire Co. volunteer, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son, Christian, Jr. of Ocala; and a daughter, Lynn of Carbondale, Colo.

Laurette M. Jennings
Laurette M. Jennings, 96, of Spring Hill, died Monday, May 14, 2001 at The Residence at Timber Pines, Spring Hill.
She was born in St. Stanislaus, Canada, and moved to this area recently from Lebanon, N.J. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include a son, Robert W. of Ringoes, N.J.; a daughter, Mary Ann Edwards of Spring Hill; a brother, Herve Larche of Guilderland, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

James Augustus Monkelban, 69, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he moved to this area 14 years ago from Tonawanda, N.Y. He was a retired railroad worker; a member of VFW Post #8681, Pasco County and the Elks Lodge #2520; and a Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Larry of Buffalo, N.Y.; a daughter, Karen Craft of Arcade, N.Y.; two brothers, John of Wellsville, N.Y. and Norman of Eggertsville, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

Virginia Ella Norton, 69, of Orange Park and formerly of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001 at her home.
Born in Camden, N.J., she moved to Orange Park from Spring Hill many years ago. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Spring Hill.
She is survived by her husband, Irving; a daughter, Linda Lou Terry of Gainesville; a son, Michael Jon Terry of Orange Park; two granddaughters, Meredith Lea Megan Jean Terry; one sister, six brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frazier Lee Bethel Jr., 78, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital.
Born in Key West, he moved to this area 10 months ago from Jacksonville, N.C. He was a retired U.S. Navy Chief Hospital Corpsman; and a member of the Semper Fidelis Masonic Lodge #680, Jacksonville, N.C., the 32 degree Scottish Rite and the Sudan Shrine Temple of New Bern, N.C.; and Pentecostal by faith.
He is survived by a son, David of Brooksville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was born in West Orange, N.J., and moved to this area 30 years ago from Budd Lake, N.J. She was a homemaker, a member of VFW Post 9236, Hernando Beach, and American Legion Post 186, Spring Hill, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include her husband, John N., Jr.; seven sons, John N. III of Hackettstown, N.J., Richard of Long Valley, N.J., and Donald G., Michael R., Patrick J., Edward A. and Jack E., all of Spring Hill; four brothers, Paul Keffer and Richard Keffer, both of Huma, Ariz., George Keffer of Point Pleasant, N.J. and Jacob Keffer of Charleston, S.C.; a sister, Barbara Radzinski of St. Cloud; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Michael of Brooksville and Gerald of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Judy Ivey of Mercer, Wis.; two brothers, Norman of Holder and Duane of St. Louis, Mich.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was born in Queens Village, N.Y., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was a retired salesman in real estate, a member of VFW Post 10209, Spring Hill, and attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and was a volunteer at its festivals.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; three sons, Gary, Glenn and Richard, all of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Kim Denig of Spring Hill; and seven grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Andrew of Garwood, N.J.; a daughter, Valerie Jacob of Spring Hill; a brother, Joseph Kruszelnicki of Union; a sister, Pauline Zuchowski of Gulfbreeze; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Agnes G. Michetti, 85, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001 at Hospice Care Unit, Brooksville.
She moved to this area a year ago from her native Philadelphia, Pa. She was a homemaker, an expert needlepointer, and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Campanile of Philadelphia; four sisters, Kathleen Bachmann of Philadelphia, and Mary Huyett, Bernadette Carroll and Anna D'Orazio, all of Spring Hill; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was a retired self-employed interior decorator, journeyman painter, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a member of American Legion, U.S. Navy Club, and DePere Sportsman Club, all of Wisconsin, chairman of DePere Search and Rescue Squad, former owner of the Forest Villa, past president of Gitchee Gumee Snowmobile Club, and a Lutheran by faith.
