He was born in Dover, N.J., and moved to this area three years ago from Netcong, N.J. He retired from Comcap Corporation in Netcong, N.J., and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Marion B.; two sons, Chad of Spring Hill and Alan Stroud of Hackettstown, N.J.; two daughters, Glenna Campbell of Brooksville and Nancy Stoney of Las Vegas, Nev.; a stepbrother, Wayne Crumm of Ledgewood, N.J; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Georgina "Jean" Draker, 79, of Brooksville, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.
She was born in Hillman, Mich., and moved to this area 24 years ago from Pontiac, Mich. She was an elementary school teacher, who started teaching before finishing her education at Wayne State University, Detroit, Mich. She taught in a one-room schoolhouse and completed her career as the most highly requested second-grade teacher at Hickory Grove Elementary School, Bloomfield Hills, Mich. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Kay Adams of Newport, N.C.; a brother, Ronnie Abbe of Alpena, Mich.; two sisters, Leona Stoddard of Lachine, Mich., and Janis Harmon of Kinde, Mich.; her companion, Bill Liske of Brooksville; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Guiseppe "Joe" Piazza, 88, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 31 years go from East Northport, Long Island, N.Y. He worked for the New York City Transit Authority as a bus driver and a transit dispatcher. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and member of the Holy Name Society, and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Brooksville Chapter.
Survivors include his wife, Maria; two daughters, Lucy Levine of Hernando Beach and Amelia Katz of Spring Hill; two sisters, Sue Alfino of Spring Hill and Vera Arcati of Port Richey; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Caroline A. Maclane, 89, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Boston, Mass., and moved to this area four years ago from Palm Harbor. She was a retired legal secretary and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Ann Bonner of Brooksville; a brother, Charles Edward Uhrig of Seminole; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Frederick M. Schmidt, 51, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003 at home.
He was born in Port Jefferson, N.Y., and moved to this area a year ago from East Moriches, N.Y. He was a member of Local 138 in New York, a Lutheran by faith and a motorcycle enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; a son, Frederick Schmidt of Long Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Shannon Schmidt of New York; a stepdaughter, Jodi Nogiewich of New York; his mother, Joan Schmidt of New York; a sister, Irene McCully of New York; and a sister, Joan Poor of Georgia.

Assunta M. Ciaccio, 85, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area four years ago from Toms River, N.J. She retired from New York Bell Company after 15 years of service. She was a volunteer for the Senior Citizens Club and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her son, Philip of Spring Hill; a brother, Sabastian Tomasulo of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four nieces; and 15 great nieces and nephews.

Joe P. Sholts, 62, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003 in Brooksville.
He was born in Waterford Township, Mich., and moved to this area a year ago from Union Lake, Mich. He worked as ground support for aerodynamics and was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include four daughters, Brenda K. Chabot and Mildred Sholts, both of Spring Hill, and Karla Sholts and Debbie Brock, both of Brooksville; two sons, Michael Sholts of Hudson and Edwin Currie of Brooksville; four sisters, Mary McGaughey of Union Lake, Donna Estes of Franklin, N.C., Lydia Yanke of St. Augustine and Addie Maye Hustek of Pontiac, Mich.; and eight grandchildren.

Dorothy Almeida, 68, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was formerly of Naugatuck, Conn. She was a volunteer at Oak Hill Hospital and St. Theresa Social Club, and was a member of Senior Friends and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandy Wright, Helen Wrinn and Debbie Leskanic, all of Connecticut; a son, Michael Almeida of New Hampshire; and five grandchildren.

Alice Virginia Crockett, 64, of Brooksville, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Cerra Gorda, N.C., moved to Camden, N.J. in 1939, then to Marlton, N.J., where she lived for 45 years before moving to Brooksville a year ago. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, David L. Crockett Sr.; four children, Jodi V. Shinn of Brooksville, Bunnie Thornton of Tampa, David L. Crockett Jr. of Marlton and Byron F. Crockett of Oaklyn, N.J.; a sister, Betty Moody of Dillion, S.C.; three brothers, Jimmy Strickland of Jacksonville, Wendell Strickland of Rockingham, N.C., and Wayne Strickland of Roland, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Edith R. Ramsey, 90, of Bradenton, formerly of Brooksville, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003 at Blake Medical Center, Bradenton.
She was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include a son, Daniel W. Ramsey of Bradenton; a daughter, Peggy Jean Baker of Tucson, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, David G. Mazur of Fairfax, Va.; a daughter, Patricia J. Gober of Brooksville; a brother, William Haas of Sioux City, Iowa; and a grandchild.

Frederick C. Cole, 76, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, March 31, 2001 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
He was a native of Sandy Hook, Conn., and moved to this area 10 years ago from Fenton, Mo. He was a retired field engineer after 40 years with Branjen & Kluge, St. Croix Falls, Wis., U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Victorious Believers.
Survivors include a son, Duane of Spring Hill; a daughter, Linda Sappington of Boonesville, Mo.; four brothers, Larry of Spring Hill, Bruce of Sequin, Texas, Walter of Bethlehem, Conn., and Ken of Danbury, Conn.; three sisters, Shirley Ferris of Newtown, Conn., Virginia Wirtes of Northport and Dorothy Earl of Visalia, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
