Frances Prentke, 81, of Spring Hill died Thursday at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
She was a native of New York and moved to the area from Austin Texas 17 years ago.
She was a retired receptionist for the Madison County Sheriff's Office in Huntsville Alabama.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son Brian Prentke, London, England; two grandchildren, Caitlin and Walter Prentke, both of London; a nephew, Danny Kenney, Hudson; two nieces, Catherine Kenney, Hudson, and Eugenia Kenney, New York, New York.
Prentke was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Bernhard in 1993 and son Christopher in 2002.

Lessie Smith-Schwavonski, 75, died Thursday at her Brooksville home.
She moved to the area 29 years ago from her native Tampa.
She was an administrative secretary and worked for Brooksville Realty and Lykes Memorial Hospital of Brooksville.
She was a former organist at St. John's Episcopal Church also at Brooksville Church of the Nazarene, where she was also a member.
Survivors include her three daughters; Emmie Lesley Schwavonski of Brooksville, Nelia Jane Goff of Spring Hill and Jamie Lee Zamora of Brooksville; two grandsons, James R. Zamora of Dade City and Michael P. Zamora of Brooksville.

Helen M. Kellams, 80, of Brooksville, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at Regional Medical Center, Bayonet Point. Born in Sullivan, Ind., she moved to this area four years ago from there. She was retired as a factory worker in the hospital equipment manufacturing industry; a Gold Star wife; a member of the American Legion; and a member of Westside Church of God and its Golden Girls group. She is survived by a daughter, Stella Dudley of Spring Hill; a son, Wendell Wilson of Packston, Ind.; three stepsons, John, Don and Jim Bob, all of Sullivan, Ind.; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elizabeth Marchese, 78, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, May 11, 2002 at her home. Born in Poland, she moved to this area 14 years ago from Wallingford, Conn. She was a retired bookkeeper for Meriden Nursing Home, Meriden, Conn.; served in the U.S. Navy; and was a Catholic. She is survived by her husband, Philip C.; a son, Richard of Wallingford, Conn.; a daughter, Marion Zambory of Wallingford, Conn.; a brother, Walter Dembiczak of West Haven, Conn; a sister, Violet Condon of Quincy, Mass.; and two grandchildren, Stephanie Robertson and Taryn Zambory, both of Wallingford, Conn. Margaret Mulholland, 90, of Port Richey, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001 at Bear Creek Nursing Home, Hudson.
She was born in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, and moved to this area 25 years ago from Rhode Island. She retired as an LPN from Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick, R.I. She was a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include two sons, R. David of Warwick and Donald of Morristown, Tenn.; three daughters, Carole Coutu and Barbara Kenyon, both of Spring Hill, and Margaret Patrova of Sinton, Texas; two sisters, Evelyn Quade of Wilmont, S.D., and Marie Simpson of Coleraine; a brother, Edward King of England; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Robert L. Hankins, 74, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Indianapolis, Ind., and moved to this area a year ago from Clearwater. He was a retired schoolteacher, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Molly; three sons, Blake of Helena, Ala., Mark of Pelham, Ala., and John Bradley of Palm Bay, Fla.; a daughter, Cristine Hankins Hilliard of Delray Beach; two brothers, Raymond of Indianapolis and Dr. William of Battle Creek, Mich.; a sister, Mary Lou Wright of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.

Therese M. Thibodeau, 74, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville.
She was born in Edmundston, N.B., Canada, and moved to this area 13 years ago from Stratford, Conn. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband, Lewis; two sons, Richard of Aurora, Colo., and Robert of Weeki Wachee; two brothers, Regenal and George Sarlabous, both of Edmundston; two sisters, Rita Francoeur of Madawaska, Maine, and Marquerite Guimond of Edmundston; and five grandchildren.

Clyde Swaner, 76, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001 at his home.
He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and moved to this area three years ago from California. He worked for Swaner Hardware Inc., Burbank, Calif., for many years. He was an active flyer of pigeons during his retirement and a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater of War.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Pendleton and Steven, both of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ronald Pendleton of Pompano Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Debbie of Las Vegas and Patricia Kriste of Encino, Calif.; a brother, Keith; two sisters, Bonnie Kaplan and Darlene West; and four grandchildren.

Joseph R. Obrzut, 85, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001 at Evergreen Woods Health Care Center, Spring Hill.
He moved to this area 20 years ago from his native Chicago, Ill. He was a retired truck driver, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his son, Joseph Robert of Wheeling, Ill.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, David.

Albert J. Piatek, 82, of Brooksville, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001 in Jacksonville.
He was born in Johnstown, Pa. He retired as an aerospace engineer with Boeing Aircraft. He was a member of the VFW, a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include a son, Gregory of Sewell, N.J.; a daughter, Deborah Daly of Voorhees, N.J.; two sisters, Agnes Ziegler and Ann, both of Johnstown; and two grandchildren.

Andrew J. Knight, 76, of Brooksville, died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
He was born in Lake Butler, Fla., and moved to this area 55 years ago from Gainesville. He was a heavy equipment operator for the mining industry, Hernando County Road Department, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys; two sons, Al of Brooksville and Pete of Webster, Fla.; two daughters, Marilyn Van Curan of Ft. Myers and Janice Sizemore of Webster; a brother, James of Masaryktown; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Dion B. Bassett, 63, of Spring Hill, died Monday, July 1, 2002 at his home.

Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany Hutto of Lakeland, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Deborah Taira of Honolulu, Hawaii; a brother, Sandy P. of Longwood, Fla.; a sister, Patricia C. of Tallahassee; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Carl Eugene Spence, 78, of Inverness, died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Cypress Cove Care Center, Crystal River.
He was born in Raleigh, N.C. He was a retired bus driver with Trailway Buslines, a World War II and Korean War U.S. Army veteran, a member of the VFW, Floral City, and a Baptist by faith.

Clovis R. Jugo Sr., 81, of Brooksville, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.
He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved to this area 23 years ago from Tampa. He was retired from Western Auto after 20 years of service, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, having been awarded a Purple Heart with the 2nd Infantry Armored Division in the Battle of the Bulge, an audio-visual collector of classic movies, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include a son, Clovis Ralph Jr. of Brooksville; a daughter, Laura Taylor of Brooksville; two sisters, Henrietta Judd of Southington, Conn., and Elsie Kingsbury of Berlin, Conn.; a granddaughter, Celeste Maura of Brooksville; and three great-grandchildren, Alexis Taylor, Ariele Taylor, and C.J. Maura, all of Brooksville.
