Joseph T. Mellon, 86, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Boston, Mass., and moved to this area 19 years ago from Boston. He was a retired machinist for the U.S. Government with 30 years of service at the Boston Naval Shipyard. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran, an avid golfer, a member of the Brookridge Golf Club and Freeport Golf Club, Freeport, Maine, where he scored a hole in one, and a member of Brooksville Elks 2582 and St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine; a son, David J. Mellon of Plymouth, Mass.; two daughters, Agnes Mellon Ward of Whitehouse, Texas, and Catherine M. Hogan of Medway, Mass.; two sisters, Sister Agnes Francis Mellon of Framingham, Mass., and Catherine M. Peacock of Freeport; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Gertrude Zinkiewicz, 89, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
She moved to this area 13 years ago from her native Queens, N.Y. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include three sons, Richard of Huntington, N.Y., Robert of Islip, N.Y., and Roy of Spring Hill; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Isaiah Joseph Milliken, infant, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003 at his home.
He was born Dec. 18 in Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
He is survived by his parents, Chris and Joleen Milliken; two brothers, Christian and Noah of Brooksville; maternal grandparents, Mike and JoAnn Apgar; paternal grandparents, Ben and Donna; maternal great-grandparents, Clementh and Hilda Boyd; paternal great-grandparents, Paul and Doris Milliken; and a great-grandmother, Marian Nedon.

Eleanor M. Baumgartner, 87, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.
She was born in Lambertville, N.J., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Flemington, N.J. She was a retired supervisor for RCA, a member of the New Jersey Club, Brooksville Elks Lodge 2582 Ladies Auxiliary, and life member of VFW Post 10209 and Grace Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Erma DeWeese of Hernando Beach; two sons, John Decker of Spring Hill and Clyde Decker of Califon, N.J.; two stepsons, Kenneth of Spring Hill and Lester of Califon; a stepdaughter, Lillian Burd of Spring Hill; a brother, Donald Edwards of Lambertville; 30 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was born in New York City, N.Y., and moved to this area four years ago from Miami. He was a retired postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office, Miami, for 27 years, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; two sons, Frederick of Miami and Michael of Spring Hill; and two brothers, David Sierra and Willie Sierra, both of San Francisco, Calif.

Marian W. Scott, 93, of Brooksville, died Monday, July 29, 2002 in Dade City.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to this area 10 years ago from Sun City, Ariz. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Nelson of Brooksville and Carole Agase of Spring Hill; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pasquale Carl J. Buono, 79, of Spring Hill, died Monday, July 29, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville.
He moved to this area 18 years ago from Medford, Mass. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Angela; two sons, Paul of Saugus, Mass., and David of Stoneham, Mass.; a daughter, Linda of Medford; and four grandchildren.

James Gabrielson, 61, of Spring Hill, died Monday, July 29, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 28 years ago from Jacksonville. He was employed by the City of Brooksville Utility Department. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbi; a daughter, Kim Bolton of Brooksville; two brothers, Ed of Felton, Del., and Clinton of Atlanta, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Ashlyn.

John R. Ridley, 80, of Kirtland, Ohio, formerly of Hernando Beach, died Saturday, July 20, 2002 at his home.
He was born in Massillon, Ohio, and was a longtime resident of Mayfield Heights, Ohio. He retired to Hernando Beach in 1982 and moved to Kirtland nine years ago. He retired as a supervisor for Air Products, Cleveland, Ohio, after 21 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Toni Ann Gielink of Kirtland and Joanne Novak-Glenn of Marion, S.C.; two sisters, Helen Rita Eschman and Mary Justice of Massillon; two brothers, Jim of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Darrell Sybole of Mulvane, Kan.; two grandsons, Robert T. Novak Jr. of Mayfield Heights and James M. Gielink of Painesville Township; two granddaughters, Michelle Hensley of Columbus, Ohio, and Maria Kettlewood of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a great-grandson, Ryan; and two great-granddaughters, Amanda and Anna.

Margaret Estelle Middlemiss, 80, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and moved to this area 21 years ago from England. She was a recruiter for the Foreign Service, having served all over the world, and was a member of a Spring Hill cancer support group.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her daughter, Marie T. Schemitz of Spring Hill; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

George Floyd Sr., 70, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002 at her home.
He was born in Sandersville, Ga., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Sanford, Fla. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Willie Butts of Brooksville, George Jr. of Florence, Ky., and Bobby of Sanford; three daughters, Lillie Floyd-Gordon of Sanford, Lynn Floyd-Crawford of Brooksville and Francis P. of Spring Hill; two brothers, Robert Reynolds Sr. of Tampa and Albert Reynolds of Homestead, N.Y.; three sisters, Reba Vernet and Rose Lewis, both of Milton, Del., and Dorothy Cooper of Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

George L. Bradley Sr., 81, of High Point, Brooksville, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Copley, Pa., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Woodbury, N.J. He was a retired fire control technician for the U.S. Government and also worked for Hernando County EMS and Oak Hill Hospital as an emergency medical technician. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of American Legion Post 99, Brooksville, DAV Post 67, Brooksville, VFW Post 10209, Spring Hill, Pearl of the West 146 F&AM, New Port Richey, High Point Volunteer Fire Department and St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; three sons, Dr. George L. of Cherryville, N.C., Nicholas R. of Glassboro, N.J., and
Richard of Tracyton, Wash.; two sisters, Patricia D'Ippolito of Philadelphia, Pa., Naomi Dillon of Ventnor, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Frederick Boyce of Spring Hill; a stepson; a granddaughter; two stepgrandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Joan Holmes, 76, of Brooksville, died Sunday, July 8, 2001 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.
She was a native of Caribou, Maine, and moved to this area 10 years ago from Virginia Beach, Va. She was a member of Brookridge Women's Club, Garden Club, Golf Association, and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
