He was born in Kingston, Pa., and moved to this area 30 years ago from Kingston. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a Vietnam War U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include three sons, James Seiwell of Orlando, John Seiwell of Dade City, and Tony Seiwell of Brooksville; a daughter, Danielle Carter of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Lea Hurley of Swayersville, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

Wanda M. Heim, 72, of Brooksville, died Monday, July 8, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Shawnee, Okla., and moved to this area 30 years ago from Tampa. She was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband, Marlin "Barney"; a son, Alan of Brooksville; a daughter, Cindy Parrish of Siler City, N.C.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Thomas R. Leberman, 78, of Brooksville, died Sunday, July 7, 2002.
He was born in St. Louis, Mo., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Branson, Mo. He retired as a truck driver for Wetterau Grocer Inc. after 37 years of service, was a World War II U.S. Marine veteran, and attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Katherine; a son, Jon Havens of Florissant, Mo.; a daughter, Terry Latta of Dittmer, Mo.; a sister, Dorothy Willis of Riverside, Calif., and Josephine of St. Louis, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Carolyn, Scott and Jonathan.

Guenter Melzner, of Beverly Hills, died Monday, July 8, 2002 at Ocala Regional Hospital, Ocala.
He was born in Essen, Germany, and moved to this area 16 years ago from Detroit, Mich. He was a retired sheet metal worker for General Motors and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; and a son, Karl H. of Freemont, Calif.

Dolores A. Sekoian, 75, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Washington County, Pa., and moved to this area 10 years ago from Detroit Beach, Monroe, Mich. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill, a life member of Telephone Pioneers of Spring Hill, member and officer of National Alliance of the Mentally Ill, Hernando Branch, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Newport, Loyal Order of the Moose, Monroe, Mich., and Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Survivors include two sisters, Diane Fisher of Spring Hill and Ramona Schubring of Dearborn, Mich.; a niece, Hope Fisher of Spring Hill; and a nephew, Robert A. Stone of Dearborn.

Joseph Martin, 87, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Presque Isle, Maine, and moved to this area 40 years ago from Willimantic, Conn. He was a retired construction worker.
Survivors include his wife, Cecile; two sons, Carl Martin of Spring Hill and Robert of Grotton, Conn.; a daughter, Caroline Gross of Hudson; a brother, Gilbert Martin of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Eva Filion and Corrine Larvier, both of Westbrook, Maine; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Thelma I. Sabo, 91, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Grove City, Pa., and moved to this area five years ago from Sharon, Pa. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Gary Sabo of Clermont; a daughter, Patricia Burgess of Spring Hill; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Ruth Eileen Young, 77, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Nashua, N.H., and moved to this area 45 years ago from New Hampshire. She was employed as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the Spring Hill Italian Club, Spring Hill YMCA and Merry Widows Club of Spring Hill. She was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Caralee Vargas of Pensacola, Melinda Johnson of Mesquite, Texas, and Cindy Smith of Orlando; a brother, Phillip Smart of Southern California; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Joseph Matyger, 56, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
He moved to this area eight years ago from his native Easton, Pa. He retired as a computer programmer from Mac Printing in Easton after 29 years of service. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, a member of American Legion Post 186 and VFW Post 8681, past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles 4208, and a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Penny; five daughters, Tina Matyger and Tammy Chandler, both of Easton, Robin Parsons of Nazareth, Pa., Tammy Rosso of France and Stephanie Kelly of Rossetta, Pa.; his mother, Catherine Matyger of Easton; and nine grandchildren.

Eustace Ferdinald James, 82, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003 in Brooksville.
He was born in Panama Republic of Panama and moved to this area six years ago from Queens, N.Y. He was a retired editor/accountant for the U.S. Army in the Canal Zone, Panama, and attended Spring Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice James; two sons, Eustace F. James Jr. of Columbus, Ga., and Rogelio James of Spring Hill; four daughters, Emilia V. Yearwood and Lidia V. Harper, both of Spring Hill, Margaret McKenzie of Queens, and Marva James of Virginia; a brother, Solomon James of Pasadena, Calif.; two sisters, Eunice Gordon of Pasadena and May Wright of Oakland, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Simeon "Sam" Caraynoff, 75, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Albany, N.Y., and moved to Florida 14 years ago. He was formerly employed as finance and accounting officer for the Department of Army at Watervliet Arsenal in upstate New York before retiring in 1984. He was an alumnus of Siena College, Loudonville, N.Y., a U.S. Army veteran, a former member of Colonie BPOE Lodge 2192, New York, a member of American Legion Post 186, Spring Hill, and was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; four sons, Gregory of Odessa, Christopher of Spring Hill, Michael of Oak Forest, Ill., and Robert of Altamont, N.Y.; a sister, Evelyn Marchese of Menands, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

James Edward Highburger, 73, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Allison, Pa., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Oregon. He was a professional driver, a Korean conflict U.S. Navy veteran and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia; two sons, James E. Jr. and Norman K., both of Brooksville; a daughter, Deborah Edward of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, Ronald Highburger of Corvallis, Ore., and Harry Highburger of Brownsville, Pa.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Freeborn A. Mack, 92, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 in Spring Hill.
He was born in Syracuse, N.Y., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Syracuse. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; a daughter, Mary Ann Carey of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

Milford T. Chapman, 89, of Hoffman Estates, Ill., formerly of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001 in Hoffman Estates.
He was born in W. Frankfort, Ill. He was a resident of Brooksville for 23 years and resided in the High Point community.
Survivors include his wife, Sallie Nee Zaleski; a son, Milford, Jr. of California; and a daughter, Barbara Cook of Elmhurst, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Charles Robert Elliott, 64, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Paisley, Scotland, and moved to this area a year ago from Totowa, N.J. He was a retired postal worker, a Central High School referee, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include two sisters, Jean Fisher and Agnes, both of Scotland; and a niece, Lorraine Fisher of Scotland.

Martin Eugene Roth, 82, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to this area five years ago from Lakeland. He was a retired carpenter, a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran, and a member of American Legion Post 186, Civil Air Patrol, and Victory Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta "Bertie;" a daughter, Geri McGill of Cleveland; a stepson, Phil Roberts of Cleveland; a stepdaughter, Becky Liss of Cleveland; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Christina Graziani, 87, of Brooksville, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and moved to this area six years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a bank clerk for Chemical Bank, New York City for many years and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Christina Perito of Hudson; and a granddaughter.

Erin Leona Gosford, infant daughter, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital.

Albert Ham, 76, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Malden, Mass., and moved to this area a year ago from New York. He was the creator of "The Music of Your Life" Radio Network, a World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran as a bombardier navigator, a member of AM Federation of Musicians Local 802 and ASCAP, nominated for Academy Award in 1967 for scoring "Stop the World I Want to Get Off", and received a Grammy in 1976 for Best Spoken Word, "Give 'em Hell Harry."
Survivors include a son, Albert Sean O'Malley Ham of California; two daughters, Lorri Ham Hafer of Spring Hill and New York City, N.Y., and Lauren Melody of Vermont; a stepdaughter, Joy Claussen of California; two sisters, Bonnie Loan of New York and Martha Diener of Alaska; a grandson; four nieces; and two nephews.

Josephine H. Dixon, 92, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003 at her home.

Survivors include her son, Tom of Spring Hill; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Earl Moore, 85, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Mallie, Ky., and moved to this area 23 years ago from Hindman, Ky. He was owner/operator of Moore's Hardware, Lackey, Ky., founder and board member of Calvary College, Letcher, Ky., board member of Open Door Children's Home, Cornettsville, Ky., and Cumberland Mountain Mission, Martin, Ky. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, a Deacon of Ivis Bible Church, Hindman, attended Central Park Baptist Church, Brooksville, and was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Earl Marson Moore of Paintsville, Ky., and Tim of Hindman; three brothers, Mason of Mallie, Ky., Du Ran of Lexington, Ky., and Rudolph of Tempe, Ariz.; two sisters, Ann Francis of Hindman and Janice Parke of Brinkley, Ky.; and three grandsons.

Ethel Ruth Varnadoe Tankersley, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003 at Kindred Hospital, Tampa.
She was born in Lumber City, Ga., and moved to Florida 73 years ago. She worked with the Hernando County Nurse, was an operator for Southern Bell, Ladies Auxiliary with Brooksville Regional Hospital, delivered holiday meals to shut-ins, and was a member of RSVP since 1972 and Brooksville Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her son, Joe Brooke of Punta Gorda, Fla.; two brothers, Rudolph Varnadoe of Brooksville and Richard Varnadoe of Salt Springs, Fla.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Dorothy F. Anderson, 82, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003 at her home.
She was born in Fitzgerald, Ga., and moved to this area a year ago from Port Charlotte, Fla. She was a homemaker, taught public school in Florida and Georgia, a Sunday School teacher at First Christian Church, Waycross, Ga., Girl Scout volunteer for 10 years receiving the Girl Scout "Thanks" badge, and was a Protestant by faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Sutton-Bailey of Brooksville.

Robert T. Hope, 49, of Brooksville, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003 at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Brooksville. He was an operating engineer and a U.S. Navy Seabees veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Sam Currington of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and Jeremy of Kissimmee, Fla.; his mother, Bubbles Mears of Troy, Ala.; two brothers, William E. IV and Samuel L., both of Troy; and a sister, Marianne H. Bennett of Brooksville.
