Malcolm P. Shepard, 91, of Bushnell, died Friday, July 18, 2003 in Inverness.
He was born in Dodge County, Ga., moved to Clearwater 76 years ago, and moved to Sumter County 33 years ago. He was a salesman in the magazine industry, a World War II 101st Airborne U.S. Army veteran, and attended First Baptist Church, Wahoo.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth E.; a daughter, Beverly Ann Lewis of Floral City; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Clifford Raphael Nonn, 54, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
He was born in Madison, Wis., and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was an automobile mechanic and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria J.; two brothers, Robert and Lawrence, both of Florida; and a sister, Darlene of Florida.

Wilburn H. Casey, 80, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at Regional Medical Center, Bayonet Point. Born in Randolph County, Ark., he moved to this area 22 years ago from Tampa. He was a member of the Christian Life Assembly of God church; an evangelist and reverend for churches throughout Florida and the southern United States for many years, including chartering Christian Fellowship church on Lykes Dublin Road, Brooksville; and was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice; two daughters, Tamara Adkins of Tallahassee and Valerie Laut of Hernando Beach; and one granddaughter. Howard R. Kelly, 78, of Spring Hill, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at his home. Born in Long Island City, N.Y., he moved to this area eight years ago from Seaford, N.Y. He was a regional manager for Milwaukee Electric Tool Inc.; served in the U.S. Naval Air Force; was a member of American Legion Post #1015, Amityville, N.Y.; and was a member of Fellowship Wesleyan Church of Spring Hill. He is survived by his wife, Irene; three sons, Raymond of Shanksville, Pa., Douglas of Wantagh. N.Y. and Robert of Point Lookout, N.Y.; two daughters, Sharon Aurigemma of Spring Hill and Janet Iaci of Tucson, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Raymond J. Byrnes, 80, of High Point in Brooksville, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital. Born in Bronx, N.Y., he moved to this area 29 years ago from Lakehurst, N.Y. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service; was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; a member of the VFW Post #8713 and American Legion Post #186, both of Brooksville; was a member of the Lion's Club or Spring Hill; and went to St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill. He is survived by his wife, Anne; three sons, William R. of Beachwood, N.J., Robert of Brick, N.J. and James of Bayville, N.J.; a daughter, Patricia Emich of Brooksville; a brother, Thomas of Montgomery, N.Y.; a sister, Marie of Lakewood, N.J.; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Dorothea Brandon, 86, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, May 9, 2002 in Port Richey. Born in New York City, N.Y., she moved to this area three years ago from Boca Raton. She was a retired telephone operator and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Kelly and Thomas, both of Wantagh, N.Y.; two daughters, Gail Walker of Spring Hill and Julann Palmgren of Port Richey; 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Donald "Don" B. Collins, 67, of Brooksville, died Thursday, May 9, 2002 in Brooksville. Born in Morehad, Ky., he moved to this area 36 years ago from Mansfield, Ohio. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He is survived by four daughters, Tammy Mays, Tina McDaniel and Robins Hawkins, all of Mansfield, Ohio; and Donna "DeeDee" Hawkins of Greenwich, Ohio; a sister, Eleanor Price of Brooksville; a brother, Douglas of Estes Park, Colo.; and nine grandchildren. David Michael McDonald, 62, of Spring Hill, died Friday, March 28, 2003 in Marco Island, as a result of an accident.
He was born in Washington, D.C., and was retired from Pinellas County Water & Utilities.
Survivors include his wife, Doris R.; two daughters, Michelle Ann Dodich of Dania and Mary K. Evans of Port Richey; and five grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Verna; a daughter, Linette Ziske of Brooksville; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Bernice G. Zapolski, 89, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Maspeth, N.Y., and moved to this area 20 years ago. She retired from Shiseido Perfume and Cosmetics Company. She was a member of the Brooksville Enrichment Center, worked with Lighthouse for the Blind, and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Maryann Hoffman of Spring Hill and Bernadette Casciotta of Brooksville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

John Joseph Lew, 77, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, April 2, 2003 at his home.
He moved to this area 23 years ago from his native Pittsburgh, Pa. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Club and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 712, Pittsburgh, VFW Post 9236, Hernando Beach, Branch 84 Association of Letter Carriers and Italian Club, Willock, Pa.
Survivors include three sons, John of Spring Hill, David of Columbia, S.C., and William of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Dianne Barter of Land O' Lakes, Judith Winterhalter of Spring Hill; two brothers, Edwin of Pittsburgh and Ellsworth of Meadville, Pa.; a sister, Dorothy of Pittsburgh; and eight grandchildren.

Mildred E. Wilson, 80, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
She was born in Kiowa, Colo., and moved to this area 55 years ago from Denver, Colo. She was a homemaker, a member of Eastern Star, past president of Ladies Lions Auxiliary, Dunedin, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include a son, William G. of Brooksville; two daughters, Jonnie Lou Greer of Tarpon Springs and Bonnie J. Turaniczo of Dunedin; two sisters, Norma Jean Kamby of Denver and Mabel Louise Marston of Palm Harbor; 10 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth 'Beth' Quick, 44, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001 at her home.
She was born in Somerville, Mass., and moved to this area 15 years ago. She was a registered nurse, having worked in many supervisory capacities at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville Regional Hospital and home health care.
Survivors include her husband, James; a daughter, Melissa McGrail of Spring Hill; two sons, Kenneth Tottle and Kyle, both of Spring Hill; a stepson, Jeff; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Burchill of Spring Hill; and a granddaughter, Sarah Burchill of Spring Hill.

He was born in Macon, Ga., and moved to this area three years ago from Tampa. He was a retired printer, having worked for The Tampa Tribune for 30 years. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, and a Methodist by faith.

Philip A. Barberie, 86, of Brooksville, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002 at his home.
He was born in Lynbrook, Long Island, N.Y., and moved to this area 33 years ago from Bayville, Long Island. He was a Mason, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of Matinacock Lodge 806, Oyster Bay, Long Island.

I. Eric Pall, 72, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.

He retired as a mechanical engineer from the U.S. Department of Defense, later became a Commodore for the U.S. Navy Reserve and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea. Survivors include his wife, Sophia; three sons, Christopher of Wesley Chapel, Gregory of Jacksonville and Romuald of Spring Hill; and five grandchildren.
