Senator Sharpe, 92, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at Heron Pointe Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in St. Vincent, West Indies, and moved to this area five years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a retired production manager for St. Vincent Arrowroot Association and was active in The Grace and Truth Church, St. Vincent.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite; a son, John of Brooksville; two daughters, Claudia Elizabeth and Grace Ruth, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two sisters, Eulah Maxwell of Manhattan, N.Y., and Inil Sharpe of St. Vincent.

Maria Lucia Berger, 77, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at her home.
She was born in Aracaju, Sergipe, Brazil, and moved to this area 15 years ago from Jackson Heights, N.Y. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas; two sons, Richard T. Berger of Chicago, Ill., and Thomas J. Berger of Gilboa, N.Y.; four sisters; and three grandchildren.

Harold J. Sydney, 89, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at The Residence at Timber Pines, Spring Hill.
He moved to this area 33 years ago from his native Chicago, Ill. He was a retired manager for the Chicago Post Office, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include two sons, Chas Sydney of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Mike Sydney of Spring Hill; a daughter, Sheila Kessler of Alpharetta, Ga.; four grandchildren; three great-grandsons; and a great-great-grandson.

Pauline M. Flavin, 85, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at her home.
She was born in Wolliston, Mass., and moved to this area 22 years ago from Brewster, Mass. She was a retired co-owner of Orleans Furniture Store and a member of St Theresa Catholic Church and its Ladies Social Club.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Flavin of Vienna, Va., and Neil Flavin of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Paula Haydon of Spring Hill; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mary H. Hesse, 94, of Brooksville, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 34 years ago from Circleville, N.Y. She was a homemaker, a member of Coldenham Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Coldenham, N.Y., and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his son, Frank Hesse of Brooksville; a brother, Walter Sauer of Bloomingburg, N.J.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

John L. Stamm, 89, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at his home.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area five years ago from Middle Village, N.Y. He retired from New York Life Insurance Company. He was a World War II U.S. Marine veteran, past president of the American Legion, and a member of Catholic War Veterans No. 1172 and St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Underhill of Spring Hill; a son, John L. Stamm Jr. of Glendale, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Gladys Mason, 68, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Uniontown, Ala. She was a member of New Jerusalem Church of God, Twin Lake.
Survivors include three sons, Charlie, Kenneth and Larry Williams, all of Brooksville; two daughters, Roxie and Charleen Williams, both of Brooksville; four brothers, Eddie Lee Warren, James Warren Jr., Howard Warren and Charles Hart, all of Brooksville; six sisters, Heidi Washington of Willingboro, N.J., and Matilda Holland, Elder Bertha Reese, Venda Marcus, Joyce Waddy and Ada Hart, all of Brooksville; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

George Fribley Sr., 69, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Brooksville and was a lifelong resident. He was retired from the Hernando County School Board and was also a truck driver. He was a member of St. Louis Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Edna; six sons, Anthony James of Ridge Manor, and George Jr., Winfred, Clifford, Jerome and Michael, all of Brooksville; a daughter, Kimberly of Brooksville; his stepmother, Ruth Fribley of Tampa; two brothers, James Robert Clark of Dunnellon and Bruce Woods of Brooksville; three sisters, Helen Warren, Ernestine Stephens of Brooksville and Christine Woods of Ohio; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Martha L. Houser, 91, of Brooksville, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
She was born in Hollidaysburg, Pa., and moved to this area 31 years ago from Carolton, Pa. She was a seamstress and a member of the Red Hat Society and First Lutheran Church, Ridge Manor West.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; a son, Barry Alberter; a stepson, Thomas Houser; a stepdaughter, Linda Troutman; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Doris Reed Insero, 84, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at her home.
She was born in Brookville, Pa., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Milford, Conn. She was a secretary for IBM for many years and a member of Northcliffe Baptist Church.
Survivors include a stepson, Joseph Insero of Sarasota; a stepdaughter, Jeanette York of Connecticut; two brothers, Donald Reed of Brookville and Lewis Reed of Raleigh, N.C.; a half-sister, Gloria Nadeau of Spring Hill; two step-granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.

Jeannette Catherine Grace, 89, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Jersey City, N.J., and moved to this area 26 years ago from Willingboro, N.J. She was a retired chief clerk of forensics for the New Jersey State Police. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Women's Guild and the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas William Grace of Piscataway, N.J.

Jo-Ann M. Hartzell, 75, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 at Hernando Pasco Hospice in Brooksville.
She was born in Easton, Pa., and moved to this area 13 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, John L.; a daughter, Susan Murphy of Spring Hill; a son, John L. of Bethlehem, Pa.; and two grandchildren.

Francis Xavier Jarvis, 82, of Clearwater, formerly of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005 at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor.
He was born in Canada and moved to Spring Hill from Farmington Hills, Mich. 25 years ago before moving to Clearwater.
He was a retired machinist, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served in the 787 Tank Battalion, a member of the Elks Lodge and a member of the VFW in Michigan.
Survivors include his son, Thomas Jarvis of Harrison, Mich.; a daughter, Sue Heck of Ubly, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Joseph George Kurtz, 84, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005 at his home.
He was born in Rochester, N.Y. and moved her 20 years ago from Clearwater. He was a retired telephone lineman employed by Rochester Telephone. He was a graduate of the Aquinas Institute, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, an avid golfer and Catholic by faith.
He had no known survivors.

Milton "Milt" Lazansky, 80, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to this area 11 years ago from Lindenhurst, Ill. He was a cabinetmaker, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, past president of Weeki Wachee Senior Citizens Club for four years, a member of Odd Fellows Lodge, Berwyn, Ill., active in the Windward Village Community, and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Steven and Glen, both of Antioch, Ill.; a daughter, Susan Brand of Olympia, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

Sadie R. Arcidiacono, 78, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area 22 years ago from Hackensack, N.J. She was a retired sewing machine operator and a member of Westside Chapter of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph "Joe"; two sons, Dennis of Spring Hill and Alan of Toms River, N.J.; a brother, Benny Collova of New Jersey; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

Sabatina "Tina" Kline, 79, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Providence, R.I., and moved to this area 24 years ago from Mount Ephraim, N.J. She retired from Fashion Bug as a sales clerk and during World War II, she worked at RCA.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Breyer of Lindenwald, N.J., and Linda Hess of Spring Hill; a son: Raymond Jr. of Spring Hill; a brother, Frank Albanese of Berline, N.J.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Burdett W. Fry, 76, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. He was born in Liberty Center, Ohio and came here three years ago from Wauseon, Ohio. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where he performed as a band drum major and won several awards. He retired from Globe Weiss Paper Products where he started on the loading dock, became president of the union and then went to work in the corporate office as a quality control manager. He was a sustaining member with the Francis Wilson Performing Arts Community Theatre. He enjoyed playing poker and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie Fry of Spring Hill; Cheryl Gomez of Caseville, Ill.; Lori Crowder of Kendalville, Ind.; son, Ron Fry of Henderson, Nev.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Lillian M. Bell, 72, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and came here 26 years ago from Parma Heights, Ohio. She retired as an accountant with Chevrolet in Parma Heights, Ohio. She was an avid golfer. She also loved researching archeology digs.
She is survived by her two sisters, Dorothy Gole of Medina, Ohio and Sandy Gullo of Brooksville; four nieces, three nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and three great-great nieces and nephews.

Henry H. Burgess, 76, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
He was born in Bermuda and came to this area in 14 years ago. He was Presbyterian by faith and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. He worked for the Bermuda Telephone Co. doing maintenance work.
He is survived by his son, Kingsley E. Burgess; daughter Laquita Bassett; brother, Fredrick A. Burgess, all of Bermuda; sister, Bernice Fishendon of Boston, Mass.; and two granddaughters.

Ronald F. Latz, 76, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in North Chicago, Ill., and moved to this area 13 years ago from Waukegan, Ill. He worked as a supervisor for West Vaco Envelope Co. for 42 years, was an avid golfer, loved gardening, was a member of Springwood Estates Crime Watch, served in the U.S. Army, and was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret J. of Spring Hill; a son, David A. of Beach Park, Ill.; a daughter, Annette J. Watkins of Altamonte Springs; two brothers, Clifford of Mundelein, Ill., and Eugene of Lindenhurst, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Samuel R. Block, 74, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 under the care of Hospice in Brooksville.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and came to this area 25 years ago from Queens, N.Y. He was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church. He retired as a youth counselor for HRS with the state of Florida, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Jude Council, Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 521, Elks Lodge, Cortez Blvd, Brooksville. He also enjoyed playing golf and coaching youth sports.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Spring Hill; sons, Richard of New Smyrna Beach, and Robert of Rockland County, N.Y.; daughter Patricia Gillespie of Rockaway Beach, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Frederick Benzeno, 52, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004.
He was born in Jamaica, Queens, N.Y. and came here three years ago from Bayshore, Long Island, N.Y. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and NASCAR.
Survivors include wife Patricia; daughter, Candice Benzeno; sons, Ryan Benzeno, Justin Benzeno and Shawn Benzeno; mother, Adalaide Benzeno; sisters, Beverly Mahalick, Carolyn Dean, all of Spring Hill; son, Frederick Benzeno, brother, Karl Benzeno, sisters, Marie Torrey, all of New York and Betsy Lindau of Spring Hill and New York; one grandson; 52 nieces and nephews; and 46 great nieces and nephews.

Louis J. Caporaletti, 92, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Alexandria, Va., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Front Royal, Va.
Mr. Caporaletti was a retired mechanic for the railroad, a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima and St. Cajetan Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a sister, Regina Guiseppe of Alexandria; and a grandson.
