Charles O. Berckley Jr., Bradenton
Charles O. "Bull Dog" Berckley Jr., 51, of Bradenton, died Aug. 27, 2002, at a friend's residence in Bradenton.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at 1004 26th Ave. E., Bradenton, with the Rev. Hank Schock officiating. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes, 26th Street Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Detroit, Mr. Berckley came to Manatee County from there in 1979.
Survivors include three daughters, Angie Ranae and Nichole, both of Harrison, Mich., and Shawna Nunnally of Detroit; a stepson, Josh Bentley of Bradenton; a sister, Sandy Griffith of Northville, Mich.; and seven grandchildren.

June Helen Yardley, Bradenton
June Helen Yardley, 83, of Bradenton, died Aug. 31, 2002, at home.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 604 43rd St. W., Bradenton. Memorial contributions may be made to Bradenton Hospice House, c/o Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.
Born in Detroit, Mrs. Yardley came to Manatee County from Birmingham, Mich., in 1980. She was a homemaker. She attended West Bradenton Baptist Church. She was a member of Christian Women's Association in Bradenton.
Survivors include her husband, Guy; a daughter, Deborah J. Merchel of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two sons, David Guy of Bradenton, and Scott James of Sarasota; a brother, Roy Lamb of Saint Clair, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

June E. Schultz, Bradenton
June E. Schultz, 85, of Bradenton, died Aug. 30, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held in Schaumburg, Ill. Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 26th Street Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Inurnment will be in Saint Michael The Archangel Cemetery in Palatine, Ill. Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 4930 Fruitville Rd., Sarasota, Fla. 34232.
Born in Chicago, Mrs. Schultz came to Manatee County from Schaumburg in April 2002. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Saint Marcelline Catholic Church in Schaumburg. She was a member of Saint Marcelline Senior's Club.
Survivors include her husband, Jack W.; five daughters, Joan O'Dowd of Bradenton, Kathy McGraw of Elgin, Ill., Loretta VanRiet of Elmhurst, Ill., June Lee Brown of Schaumburg, and Mary Braatz of Downers Grove, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Viola A. Moser, Sarasota (Manatee County)
Viola A. Moser, 89, of Sarasota (Manatee County), died Aug. 30, 2002, in Greenbriar Nursing Center in Bradenton.
No service is scheduled. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Cortez Road Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Temple Hill, Iowa, Mrs. Moser came to Manatee County from Dubuque, Iowa, in 1959. She was a homemaker. She was Catholic.
Survivors include her son, Charles Ruh of Bradenton; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Anne Helen Rehak, Bradenton
Anne Helen Rehak, 82, of Bradenton, died Aug. 31, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Shannon Funeral Home, 1015 14th St. W. There will be private graveside services for the family. Burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Tampa.
Born in Fairfield, Conn., Ms. Rehak came to Manatee County from Tampa more than 25 years ago. She retired from the Bradenton Herald. She also worked as an illustrator in the art department of the Miami Herald and at The Tampa Tribune for several years. She was an avid artist. She also worked for Western Electric in Manhattan during World War II, working with liquid oxygen.
She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bradenton. She was a lifetime member of the Sacred Heart and Saint Joseph Rosary Makers. She was a member of what was known as the Legion of Mary at Saint Joseph Catholic Church where she volunteered for many years.
Survivors include her sister, Theresa R. Kommers of Bradenton; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth Adams, Bradenton
Ruth Adams, 95, of Bradenton, died Sept. 1, 2002, in Hospice House of Bradenton.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3200 Manatee Ave. W. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Donald Hanna officiating. Burial will be in Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto. Shannon Funeral Home, Westview Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238 or Trinity United Methodist Church, 3200 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, Fla. 34205.
Born in Newfane, N.Y., Mrs. Adams came from there to Manatee County in 1959. She taught Latin at Manatee High School. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Lewis of Lakeland; a son, D. Bruce Adams of Sarasota; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

George A. Rosenjack, Bradenton
George A. Rosenjack, 91, of Bradenton, died Aug. 31, 2002, in Blake Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter, is in charge of cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Ringling Art Museum "Docent," 5401 Bayshore Road, Sarasota, Fla. 34243.
Born in Cleveland, Mr. Rosenjack came from there to Manatee County 22 years ago. He was a manager at Cleveland Trust Bank.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ellen Blum of Boulder, Colo.; a son, George, of Bradenton; and six grandchildren.

Beryl Whitney Beck, Bradenton
Beryl Whitney Beck, 75, of Bradenton, died Aug. 29, 2002, in Blake Medical Center.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at G.R. Bailey Funeral Home, 4396 Iroquois Ave., Erie, Pa. A funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles R. Wertz of Faith Lutheran Church officiating. Inurnment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 3355 26th St. W., Bradenton, Fla. 34205.
Born in Erie, Pa., Mrs. Beck lived in Bradenton. She retired from Kmart in 1985. She was a former member of Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was a member of Danish Sisterhood Lodge No. 129, past president of Brookside Fire Co. Auxiliary and the Brookside PTA.
Survivors include two sons, Robert N. Jr., of Vancouver, Wash., and Craig, of Belcamp, Md.; three daughters, Linda Devaney of Flemington, N.J., Nancy Krol of Erie, and Sandra Houck of Palmetto; and seven grandchildren.

John Anthony Stack Jr., River Park, Wash., and Bradenton
John Anthony Stack Jr., 67, of River Park, Wash., and Bradenton, died Aug. 24, 2002, in Blake Medical Center.
Private services will be held in Townsend, Wash. The Good Earth Crematory is handling cremation arrangements.
Born in Evanston, Ill., Mr. Stack came to Manatee County from River Park in 2001. He retired as a messenger for a printing company. He was Catholic. He belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Boys' and Girls' Club of Bradenton and Alzheimer's Association of Manatee.
Survivor, a brother, Jerry Stack of Port Townsend, Wash.

Jeanette L. Fleming, Sun City Center
Jeanette L. Fleming, 76, of Sun City Center, and formerly of Detroit and Ellenton, died Aug. 24, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Blvd., Sun City Center. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Kicliter Funeral Home in Palmetto is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Manatee County Unit, P.O. Box 10459, Bradenton, Fla. 34282-0429.
Born in Detroit, Mrs. Fleming came to Manatee County in 1989. She retired after 32 years with Detroit Edison Utility Co. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh; and two sisters, Mary Toparcean of New Port Richey and Julia Betts of Livonia, Mich.

Catherine M. Griffith, Bradenton
Catherine M. Griffith, 82, of Bradenton, died Aug. 24, 2002, in Blake Medical Center.
There will be no local services. Bradenton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Palma Sola Harbor Memorial Fund, 9410 Catalina Drive, Bradenton, Fla. 34210.
Born in Yonkers, N.Y., Mrs. Griffith came to Manatee County from Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1977. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Frank G. III, of Bradenton; a son, James, of New Haven, Ind.; a stepson, Frank G. IV, of Andros Island, Bahamas; a sister, Margaret Spatta of Yonkers; a brother, James Wilson of Yonkers; six stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
