Born in Beach City, Ohio, Mrs. Kekich came to Manatee County from Ecorse, Mich., in 1964. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Palmetto. She was a member of Tidevue Civic Association in Ellenton.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Hollenbeck and Linda, both of Ellenton; a son, Terrance, of Northville, Mich.; two sisters, Rosemary Garmhausen of Navarre, and Betty Toomey of Ellenton; two brothers, James Hammel of Navarre, and William Hammel of Massillon, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Bertha Liu, 80, of Bradenton, died Sept. 30, 2002, in Hospice House of Palmetto.
Service will be 2 p.m. today at Mansion Memorial Park Chapel in Ellenton, with the Rev. Richard Speece officiating. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park. Born in Indonesia, Mrs. Liu came to Manatee County from Sarasota in 1981. She was a missionary with The Pocket Testament League in Europe, Asia, U.S.A. and Canada. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Bradenton.
Survivors include a sister, J.J.C. DeJong of Zaandam, The Netherlands; and a brother, Carl Njiokiktjien of Toronto, Canada.

Lynn D. Nelsen, 57, of Bradenton, died Sept. 28, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Oakland, Calif., Ms. Nelsen came to Manatee County from Indianapolis in 1996. She was a real estate agent for E.J. Construction. She was Christian. She was a member of Moose Lodge in Noblesville, Ind.
Survivors include her companion, Joseph Gahanam; two daughters, Christie Lynn Everline and Carolyn Liechty-Siewert, both of St. Petersburg; a son, David Brian Liechty of Sarasota; and two grandchildren.

Faustino Villanueva, 65, of Palmetto, died Sept. 28, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Altamira Tamps, Mexico, Mr. Villanueva came to Manatee County from Mexico in 1972. He was a retired farm worker. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
