EDYTHE GRABBIE SCHERLER, 89, Pepper Drive, Melbourne, died Friday, Oct. 8. Mrs. Scherler was a retired salesperson. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio. She was a Navy WAVE veteran of World War II. JOSEPH C. VERASKA, 91, 2502 Leisure Lane, Leesburg, died Saturday, Oct. 9. Mr. Veraska was a chief operator for a telephone company in Omaha, Neb. Born in Omaha, he moved to Central Florida in 1977. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was a volunteer for the Leesburg High School Literacy program.
