ELIZABETH M. GUTHRIE, 75, Chippewa Trail, Maitland, died Tuesday, Aug. 8. Ms. Guthrie was a retired X-ray technician. Born in Jackson, Tenn., she moved to Central Florida in 1959. She was Protestant. She was a Navy veteran of World War II. Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home, Winter Park.

EVA WINIFRED HAWES, 91, 1111 S. Lakemont Ave., Winter Park, died Friday, July 14. Mrs. Hawes was a retired clerk for W.T. Grant stores. She was born in Berwick, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was a member of Tuskawilla Presbyterian Church, Oviedo. Survivors: son, The Rev. Jack, Oviedo; daughters, Dorothy M. Kipp, Hopkinsville, Ky., Eleanor Gale, Colville, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg.

RUBY HILL, 61, Old Dixie Highway, Titusville, died Tuesday, Aug. 8. Mrs. Hill was an electrical technician for Rockwell International. Born in Morristown, Tenn., she moved to Central Florida in 1965. Survivors: daughters, Donna Wolfe, Robin Wolfe, Harriett Treider, all of Titusville, Annette Wolfe, Dallas, Rhonda Kennedy, Titusville, Tammy Ports, Golden, Colo.; sisters, Doris Smith, Morristown, Liddie Hand, Lora Seay, both of Titusville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. CATHERINE P. HOLT, 77, 31st Street, Orlando, died Wednesday, Aug. 9. Mrs. Holt was a homemaker. She moved to Central Florida in 1936. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Orlando. Survivors: sons, Ken, Clearwater, Michael T., Bradenton; daughter, Sharon Crouse, Lakeland; brother, John Pelham, Tampa; sister, Frances Sills, Tampa, Gladys Talley, Statesville, N.C.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. JOSEPH J. MALDONADO, 63, Roberta Avenue, Orlando, died Wednesday, Aug. 9. Mr. Maldonado was a retired revenue accountant for Delta Airlines. Born in Mexico, he moved to Central Florida in 1973. He was a member of St. Joseph`s Catholic Church. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. Survivors: wife, Carmen; daughters, Rebecca Pennington, Niceville, Guadalupe Tirado, Miami, Maria Smith, Orlando; son, Joseph J. Jr., Orlando; six grandchildren. LYVIRGIA KITCHEN MEE, 102, East New York Avenue, DeLand, died Wednesday, Aug. 9. Mrs. Mee was a homemaker. Born in Dayton, Ohio, she moved to Central Florida in 1956. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Lake Helen. Survivors: son, William, Lake Helen; brother, Robert Kitchen, California; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. ROBERT L. METTEN, 67, 1510 Windward Drive, Melbourne, died Wednesday, Aug. 9. Master Sgt. Metten was retired from the Marine Corps. Born in South Charleston, W.Va., he moved to Central Florida in 1973. He was a member of AZAN Shrine Temple, Masonic Lodge 143 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8191. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors: wife, Barbara; son, Bob, Valkaria; daughter, Kim, Valkaria; sister, Mary Ann Baczynski, Satellite Beach; brother, Charles, Fullerton, Calif. KATHRYN REESE JEROMINSKI, 73, 3701 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, died Thursday, Aug. 10. Mrs. Jerominski was a homemaker. Born in Wilmington, Del., she moved to Central Florida in 1982. SALVATORE R. MINISTERI, 73, Tulip Court, Deltona, died Wednesday, Aug. 9. Mr. Ministeri was a retired chauffeur for the city of Boston. Born in Boston, he moved to Central Florida in 1975. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Deltona. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Knights of Columbus 6584, both of Deltona, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors: son, Robert L., Deltona; brothers, Louis, Deltona, Guy, Tewksbury, Mass.; sisters, Mary Tringale, Hyde Park, Mass., Phyllis Wohlgemuth, Braintree, Mass.; two grandchildren. MARY LOUISE NEEDER, 73, West Canal Road, Deltona, died Saturday, Aug. 5. Miss Needer was a retired line supervisor for Bendix Corp. Born in Baltimore, she moved to Central Florida in 1993.
