CATHERINE MARIE FROST, 79, Crane Feather Drive, Port Orange, died Wednesday, Oct. 25. Mrs. Frost was a medical-archives curator. She moved to Central Florida in 1981. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Survivors: husband, James W.; sons, David, Thomas, both of Elmira, N.Y.; daughters, Mary E. Miller, Diane Wright, both of Port Orange; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Baldwin Brothers Memorial Care Services, New Smyrna Beach.

JULIA McCASKILL GARRAWAY, 89, Atlanta, died Thursday, Oct. 26. Mrs. Garraway was born in Freeport. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Marianna. Survivors: daughters, Dr. Julia E., Annapolis, Md., Mary E. Garraway Brown, Alpharetta, Ga., Charlene R., St. Petersburg, Catherine Garraway Higgins, Roswell, Ga.; sister, Florence A., Riverside, Calif.; three grandchildren. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

ANNETTE GENTRY, 81, Thornlee Road, Winter Park, died Friday, Oct. 27. Mrs. Gentry was a homemaker. Born in Tennessee, she moved to Central Florida in 1985. She was Christian. Survivor: husband, Robert H. Jr. Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Homes-Goldenrod Chapel, Winter Park.

JOSEPH JOHN GRUBER, 73, Whitecaps Circle, Maitland, died Wednesday, Oct. 25. Mr. Gruber was a physicist in the semiconductor industry. Born in Jersey City, N.J., he moved to Central Florida in 1989. He was Protestant. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: sons, Kurt P., Maitland, Joseph M., Boulder, Colo.; daughter, Susan J. IRENE HATCHER, 90, 4374 Barnsdale Drive, Melbourne, died Friday, Oct. 27. Mrs. Hatcher was a homemaker. Born in Valdosta, Ga., she moved to Central Florida in 1976. Survivors: sister, Wanda F. Robinson, Winter Haven; brother, Henry Franklin, Gainesville; sons, Harold, New Smyrna Beach, Warren, Valkaria; daughters, Elizabeth Dekle, Jacksonville, Yvonne Wall, Somerset, Ky., Freda Hull, Grant; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. NAOMI BELL HEMPHILL, 75, Jess Parrish Court, Titusville, died Monday, Oct. 23. Mrs. Hemphill worked for Spaceport USA. Born in Oswego, Ill., she moved to Central Florida in 1976. ELLA MAE HUNTER, 90, South Conway Road, Orlando, died Friday, Oct. 27. Mrs. Hunter was former owner of Mae`s Tailor Shop. Born in Madison, she moved to Central Florida in 1948. She was a member of Dover Shores Baptist Church. Survivors: son, Richard, Bristol, R.I.; daughter, Doris McPherson, Homosassa; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. ERNEST HUNTER, 77, 415 Campusview Drive, Orlando, died Thursday, Oct. 26, of acute respiratory failure. Mr. Hunter was a retired construction worker. Born in Colquitt, Ga., he moved to Central Florida in 1951. He was Protestant. Survivors: wife, Martha; daughter, Bessie, Orlando; brothers, John Porter, Leesburg, Dennis Hargrick, Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
