Charles A. Holland
Holland, Charles A. "Chuck", 69, of San Antonio, FL, passed away October 8, 2004. He was born December 31, 1934 in Waverly, NY. He is survived by his wife: Vanice Holland; his son T.J. Holland; his daughter: Robin Coleman; 2 step-daughters: Sara Sichting and Dana Linkous; 6 grandsons: Jack Holland, Dane Coleman, Tanner Wesley, Austin Sichting, Clay Sichting, Kyle Finley; 3 granddaughters: Meg Holland, Colbie Coleman, Brittney Sichting; daughter-in-law: Kim Holland; sons-in-law: Steve Coleman and Jeff Sichting; sister: Phyllis Wenzel; 6 sisters-in-law: Charlotte Holland, Pam Thompson, Maria Hughes, Patty Adams, Ramona Adams, Gayla Adams; 5 brothers-in-law: John Hughes, Melvin Thompson, James Adams, Jan Adams, Clifford Adams; nephew: Tim Mott; 2 nieces: Melissa Raker and Annette Stevens. Chuck graduated from Waverly High School and Ithaca College. He served in the United States Marine Corp. and fought in the Korean War. He then returned home to New York where he followed a career in coaching and education. He coached and taught at Westfield Academy, Caledonia Mumford High Schools Ithaca College, Nanuet in New York then came to Florida in 1970 to Brandon High School. Chuck then moved to East Bay High School where he served as Dean of Students & Assistant Principal for Administration. His final move was to Hillsborough High School, Tampa, FL. Chuck served as Assistant Principal for Administration then on to become Principal where he retired from in 1993. Chuck belonged to many organizations including: Marine Corp. League, VFW, Moose, AM Vets, FO Eagles, and American Legion. He stepped up to his Civic duties by volunteering for such things as Marines Toys for Tots, Special Olympics, Chrysler, Outback & Mira Golf Tournament. He was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel and an Honorary West Virginia Ambassador. When it came to awards and recognition Chuck was at the top of the list. Receiving some of the State's most prestigious awards. Florida High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame, FIAAA Athletic Administrator of the Year, NIAAA/FIAAA Distinguished Service Awards, National Federation of High School Citation, Tampa Chapter National Football Foundation Citation, FIAAA-Cofounder Past President 6 awards, NIAAA-C0-chair National Convention 3 times & 4 awards, Chairman National Retired AD Association, Hillsborough County High School Principal of the Year 3 times. His tireless efforts and contribution to sports and education will be dearly missed.
Memorial services will be held 11:00am,Saturday, October 16, 2004, at the First Baptist Church of Dade City. Visitation with the family will be at 10:00am. Final resting place will be at the National Cemetery in Bushnell with Honor Guard ceremony. No flowers please. Eddie Wilkes
Wilkes, Eddie, 51, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004 in Zephyrhills. He was born September 7, 1953 in Lakeland, FL, to Willis Alix Wilkes and Ruby Nell Yawn Wilkes. He moved to the Zephyrhills area 30 years ago from the Dade City and Richland area. He was a Furniture Builder and an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife: Virginia Wilkes, Zephyrhills, FL; his son: Adam Wilkes, Zephyrhills, FL; his daughter: Jessica Wilkes, Zephyrhills, FL; 2 brothers: Michael Wilkes, Zephyrhills, FL, Timothy Wilkes, Kathleen, FL; 1 sister: Gwendolyn Zinn, Denver, NC; 3 grandchildren: Katie Veley, Cynthia Wilkes, Samantha Wilkes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Memorial services were held 6pm Tuesday (today) at the CrossRoads Pentecostal Church in Zephyrhills with Rev. Steve McAdams officiating.

Virginia Sandoval
Sandoval, Virginia R., 62, passed away on Saturday, October 9th, 2004 under the care of South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, Fl. She was born in Houston, Texas and she moved here in 1967.
Survivors include her two sons, Eliseo Sandoval Jr.and his wife, Nancy of San Angelo, TX and Paul Sandoval of Plant City; two daughters, Sarah Cantu of Plant City, Sandra Sandoval of St. Petersburg, Fl; four brothers, Juan Hernandez of Zephyrhills, Joe Hernandez and Robert Hernandez both of Dade City, and Desi Hernandez of Plant City; five sisters, Christina Perez of San Angelo,TX, Mary Ibarra, Yolanda Sandoval, and Lupe Rodela, all of Dade City, Fl, and Theresa Iniguez of Plant City; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband, Eliseo Sandoval Sr.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 14th at the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City , Fl from 4-6 pm with Pastor Juan Herenandez of the Primera Iglesia Cristiana Hispana officiating the service.

Jean Potter Glover
GLOVER, Jean P., 76, of Tampa. passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2004 in Tamp under the care of LifePath Hospice. Born in Muncie, IN, she moved here in 1960 from Mobile. She was a retired speech therapist and audiologist and served as an advisor/counselor for the audiology program at USF.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Glover of Tampa, Timothy Glover and his wife, Lorrie of San Antonio, and David Glover of Ceres, CA; two sisters, Margery Wilson of Oak Forest, IL and Virginia Ford of Indianapolis, IN; a brother, Thomas W. Potter, Jr. of Marietta, Ohio; five grandchildren, Evah Marie, Lonna Elizabeth, Jason, Travis and Timothy; and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church with Rev. Craig Miller officiating. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

Jeffrey Kelley Wood
WOOD, Jeffery, 57 of Dade City , Fl, passed away Wednesday, October 6th, 2004 at the Edwinola house in Dade City. He was born on July 23, 1947 in Mesquite, Nevada, and moved to this area 20 years ago from Washington. He was in the Banking Industry for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Sharon of 27 years, a son Andrew and his wife Tara a grandchild, Kelley Patrick, parents Fred and Rita wood, 2 brothers, Fred and Barry of Idaho,3 sisters, Sheila Eisman of Eagle Idaho, Martha Wood of Winnemucca Nevada, and Sharon Backus of Jackson Hole Wyoming. He was also member of the Dade City Rotary club.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home.

Chester Earl Liles
LILES, Chester Earl, 82, of Ridge Manor, FL, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice House in Dade City. He was born April 15, 1922 in White Oak, GA, and moved to this area 31 years ago from West Collingswood, NJ. He was retired from the Air Conditioning & Heating industry and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ridge Manor. He had been active for many years at the First Baptist Church of Dade City, where he and his wife led the Young at Heart group.
His wife of 61 years, Henrietta A. Liles, preceded him in death by one week. He is survived by his daughter: Bobbi L. Connor, Dade City, FL; his son: Larry & Lulu Liles, Ridge Manor, FL; 5 grandchildren including: Ricky and Mark Connor; and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11am Friday, October 8, 2004 at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Burial will follow at Trilby Cemetery.

Donald McCracken
MCCRACKEN, Donald J., 43, of Wesley Chapel, died Saturday, October 2, 2004 in San Antonio, as a result of an automobile accident. He moved to this area in 1972 from his native Dearborn, Michigan. He was a member of Victorious Life Church in Wesley Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; his children, Jason McCracken of Wesley Chapel, Christina Souffront and her husband, Steven of New Tampa, Jenny Sanzo and her fiancé, Moises Soler, Jacob McDonald of Zephyrhills, Rachel McCracken of Zephyrhills, Kaity Sanzo of Wesley Chapel and Joey Sanzo of Wesley Chapel; two sisters, Diane Weiss of Zephyrhills and Debbie Abercrombie of Port Richey; his parents, Don and Lil McCracken of Seminole; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at Victorious Life Church with Pastor Ed Russo officiating. Burial will follow at Oakside Cemetery.

Stanley Saunders
Saunders, Stanley of Brooksville , died Saturday, October 2nd, 2004 at Spring Hill Regional Medical Hospital. He was a welder by trade. He is survived by his wife Colleen; 5 children, Terrance, Tamara, and Stanley of Canada, E'Tinne and Jahraud of Brooksville, Fl; his mother, Ida Mae of New Mexico; a brother, Marcellus Saunders of New Mexico; 1 Sister, Josephina Melvin of Lakeland, Fl; a brother in Law, James, a sister in law, Linda, several grandchildren and great grand children, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Marcellus of Canton, Ohio and by a brother, Charles Saunders of New Orleans.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Dade City with Rev. Sims officiating.

GAUTHIER, Angus, of Clermont, died Friday, October 1, 2004. Arrangements are pending.

Santiago Gomez
GOMEZ, Santiago, 18, of Dade City, died Friday, October 1, 2004 in Lakeland as a result of a workplace accident. He is survived by his father, Enedino Gomez of Dade City. Funeral services will be held in Mexico.

Julia C. Barile
BARILE, Julia C., 93, of Zephyrhills, died Thursday, September 30, 2004 under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She is survived by her son, Dr. James Barile. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx, NY.
