Marjorie Stevenson
Stevenson, Marjorie "Marge", 83, of Dade City, formerly of Cordova, Alaska, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25th, 2005 at her home in Dade City surrounded by her family. Her passions in life were her family, gardening and her love for the people and places in Alaska. She was a long time resident of Alaska and traveled the Alaska Highway 52 times with her husband, Jack. She was a member of the Cordova Community Baptist Church in Cordova and was greatly supported by the members of the Plateau Missionary Baptist Church in Crossville, TN. She was also a member of the Dade City Garden Club. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jack in 2003, and a daughter, Barbara Ellen of Dade City on 11/21/2000.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald Stevenson of Crossville, Tennessee, and Jack Stevenson of Cordova, Alaska; two daughters, Judy Wassman of Dade City and Mary Stephens of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Shirley Jackson of Fairborn, Ohio and Dade City; a brother, Dallas Pebbles of Alexandria, Louisiana; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
The family received friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2005 in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2005 at the funeral home with Pastor Dick Fisher officiating. Burial followed at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to M.A.D.D., 1421 Commercial Park Drive #1, Lakeland, FL 33801. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the caregivers of Hernando-Pasco Hospice.

Weldon James Varner
Varner, Weldon James, 45, of Ridge Manor, FL, passed away Monday, January 24th, at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. He has finally been set free from his battle with cancer. He was born November 6, 1959 in Hialeah, FL, to Victor Robert Varner and Kathleen Theresa Brenton Varner. He moved to this area in 1972. He was an automobile technician and of the catholic faith. He was a member of the Dade City Moose Lodge #397, and a devoted fan of the Miami Dolphins and NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his wife: Susan Varner; his parents: Kathleen & William McCann; 4 daughters: Nicole Varner, Belinda Skundrich, Jamie Varner, Tiffany & Nicholas Christie; 1 son: William Krug; 2 brothers: Dean Varner and Arthur Varner; 1 sister: Robin Varner; 3 grandchildren: Chaney Pinardi, Orion Christie, and Kali Christie. He was preceded in death by his father: Victor R. Varner, and 1 brother: Victor Varner.
A memorial service was held 6pm Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Dade City Moose Lodge #397.

Patricia Lynn Herndon
Herndon, Patricia Lynn, 50, of Zephyrhills, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2005 at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She was born April 7, 1954 in Sarasota, FL, to Buford Grady Holland and Peggy Ann Carter. She moved to Zephyrhills 6 years ago from Tampa.
She is survived by her husband: James Herndon, Zephyrhills, FL; her mother: Peggy Rutlin, Zephyrhills, FL; 7 brothers and sisters: Sonja Longmire, Sandee Ashburn, John Holland, Ronald Holland, Marie Miller, Tim Warren, all of Zephyrhills, FL, Tammy Odoardo, South Carolina; step-mother: Marion Holland, Naples, FL; 5 aunts, 2 uncles, 6 nieces, 9 nephews, 5 great nieces, and 8 great nephews.
A private family viewing was held at the Hodges Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center (formerly Kelly Memorial Funeral Home) in Zephyrhills.

George Ridge
Ridge, George, 79, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2005 at his home under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. He was born September 28, 1925 in Bedford, IN, to George Ridge and Emma Howell Ridge. He worked with the Motor Wheel Corp. in Lansing, MI, for 30 years before retiring to Zephyrhills. He was a US Navy Air Force Veteran of WWII. He was active with the Elks Lodge #2731, the Moose Lodge, the American Legion, the VFW, and the 40 & 8’s.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Marie M. Ridge, Zephyrhills, FL; 3 daughters: Samantha Ridge and John Grey, New York, NY, Sandy & David Wilcox, Zephyrhills, FL, Penny & John Lauer, The Colony, TX; 1 son: Doug & Lori Egleston, Lansing, MI; 1 brother: Henry Ridge, Hershey, MI; 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held 12 Noon, Monday, January 24, 2005 at the Elks Lodge in Zephyrhills, 6851 Wire Road. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice 7066 Fort King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.

Raymond Prieto
Prieto, Raymond, 86, of Davisburg, MI, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at the East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills. He was born August 9, 1918 in Holbrook, AZ, and was a winter resident of Zephyrhills for the past 20 years. He retired from the state hospital in Michigan.
He is survived by his wife: Rose E. Schmitter Prieto, Davisburg, MI; 1 daughter: Janice Pelmear, Weidman, MI; 2 brothers: John Prieto, Pontiac, MI, Alfred Prieto, Newark, CA; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at Coats Funeral Home in Waterford, MI. Burial will take place at the Andersonville Community Cemetery in Springfield Township.

Beatrice Huber
Huber, Beatrice G., 89, Zephyrhills, FL. Bea, as she was known by everyone, passed away Monday January 10th after celebrating a long and wonderful life. She survived after the loss of her husband Ben in 1998 after 50-years of a wonderful marriage in the perfect relationship of sole mates. Bea grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, one of five children, and moved to Celina, Ohio, where she and Ben owned and operated a fishing and hunting camp for over 25-years. This was the perfect life to work and play at a labor of love. After retiring to Florida, she enjoyed most playing bingo and gambling in the Tampa Bay area.
Bea is survived by a loving son Bill, who misses her very much, and by 3-granddaughters: Sam, Stacey, and Shannon. Bea forever will be memorialized as the mother who loved her son more than anything in the world. Bea will also be remembered by her friends as a smart, feisty, and classy lady. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

Robert B. Jordan
Jordan, Robert B., 62, a lifelong resident of Dade City, passed away Monday, January 17, 2005 under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Dade City. He was born April 30, 1942 in Dade City to Homer Jordan and Mabel Morford Jordan. He was retired from the Florida Department of Corrections. He is survived by his son: Mark Jordan, Easley, South Carolina; and 2 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice 7066 Fort King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541 or a charity of your choice.

Geraldine Lelah Holly
Holly, Geraldine Lelah, 84, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Sunday, January 16th at East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills. She was born January 26, 1920 in Bancroft, MI, to Ernest A. Walter and Nettie Woodruff Walter. She worked for a number of years at Universal Electric before retiring to Florida. She, and her husband Kenneth, managed the Florida Villas Mobile Home Park for a little over 20 years. When Kenneth passed away, she continued to manage the park as long as her health would allow. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Sandra K. Shafer, Zephyrhills, FL, Connie & Bert Wheeler, San Antonio, FL, Carolyn L. Shafer, Owosso, MI; 1 brother: Clinton & Maxine Walter, Zephyrhills, FL; 3 sisters: Elva Sweeten, Zephyrhills, FL, Nellie & Leonard Babel, Michigan, Viola & Lyle Grill, Byron, MI; 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth Holly; her brother: Albert Walter; and 1 grandson: Rodney Shafer.
Memorial services were held 11am, Friday, January 21, 2005 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Walter officiating. A luncheon will be held at the church following the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in her memory to the Faith Baptist Church, 38634 C.R. 54 E., Zephyrhills, FL 33542 or to a charity of your choice. Interment will take place in Michigan at a later date in the spring.

Kenneth Lloyd Bohuslav
BOHUSLAV, Kenneth L., 80, of Wesley Chapel, died Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House in Dade City. A native of Newport, Rhode Island, he was a winter resident in Florida the past two years. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII serving in the 6th Army in the European Theatre at Normandy. He was a member of the American Legion and was a member and officer of the Litchfield County Rocks and Minerals Club. He taught Earth Science at Torrington High School for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Carolyn; a son, Keith Bohuslav of Proctersville, Vermont; two daughters, Karen Somers of Woodbridge, CA and Catherine Febbroriello of Harwinton, Conn.; a brother, Conrad Bohuslav of Moraga, CA; a sister, Barbara Peterson of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and one grandchild, Samantha Somers of Woodbridge, CA.

William "Bill" Hunt
HUNT, William "Bill", 92, of Zephyrhills and Dover, NH, passed away January 6, 2005 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Dade City. He was born August 12, 1912 in Osawatomie, Kansas. A WWII veteran, in the U.S. Coast Guard from May 26, 1942 to Sept. 29, 1945, he served on the CGC Duane in the North Atlantic. He was awarded a Bronze Star for combat. He later served on the USS Wakefield. He married Ruth A. McCrillis in Medford, MA on November 30, 1945. A machinist, he retired in 1972 from Shop 31, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME. He was a member and Past Master, Beaver Dam Grange, No. Berwick, ME, Cocheco Grange, Dover, NH and St. John's Lodge F&AM, So. Berwick, ME. For the past 20 years he and his wife, Ruth, have wintered in Zephyrhills.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth of 59 years; a daughter, Catherine R. Judd of De Soto, TX; two sons, William C. and Gregory W. of Dover, NH; and five grandchildren, all of Dover, NH.
A Memorial Service was held January 22, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Dade City, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice Inc., 7066 Fort King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.

William Skinner
SKINNER, William, 79, died Sunday, January 9, 2005 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are pending.
