William Mathews
William H. "Bill" Mathews, 69, Orlando, brother of a St. Augustine resident, died May 12, 1997. He was a fourth generation of pioneer Floridians and the third generation of citrus growers, and he was production manager of the Winter Garden Citrus Growers Association. He received both a bachelor's degree in agriculture and a master's degree with specialization in horticulture from the University of Florida, and he served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
He received several awards for service to the Florida citrus industry and for outstanding leadership, and he was a member of the Florida State Horticultural Society, the Florida Production Managers Association, Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society in Agriculture and Theta Chi fraternity. He held a national record for his age group in the 15 K race-walk, set in 1995, and he was a member of the Central Florida Walkers.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 6330 Moore St., Orlando.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Jean, Orlando; a daughter, Anita Mathews, St. Petersburg; one son, Douglas Mathews, Gotha; and a sister, Dorothy Mathews Lyon, St. Augustine.

Ann Bouchard
Ann Jenny Blais Bouchard, 82, Rochester, Mass., died May 12, 1997, in St. Augustine. She was born in Methuen, Mass., and she was a winter resident of St. Augustine. She was a retired artist, and she was of the Catholic faith.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jeremiah Lambe, associate pastor of the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a donation, in her memory, to Prince of Peace Catholic Church, c/o the Cathedral Rectory, 35 Treasury St., St. Augustine, 32084.
Survivors include a daughter, Julie-Anne Borden, Girard, Mass.; a son, Francis Bouchard, Providence, R.I.; one sister, Yvonne Roberge, Weedon, Quebec, Canada; and a brother, Wilfred Blais, Rochester.
Craig Funeral Home is in charge.

Richard Lewis Jr.
Funeral services for Richard (Dad) Lewis Jr., 43, 761 Volusia St., who died May 7, 1997, in Flagler Hospital West, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 35 Duval St., with the Rev. Major Highman officiating. Burial follows in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4:30-7:30 p.m. today, and from 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
Coleman's Mortuary, Hastings, is in charge.

Bridget Mitchell
Bridget Lilla Mitchell, 75, 93 South St., died May 14, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. She was a native of Grenaba, W.I., and she had resided here for the past three years. She was a member of Victory Tabernacle, and she had earned a B.A. degree from the University of the West Indies. She was involved in education for 52 years in the West Indies, teaching in Grenaba.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Victory Tabernacle, with the Rev. Homer Brown, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include two guardians, Mr. and Mrs. George Smith, St. Augustine; and a goddaughter, Denise Campbell, Grenaba; a niece and a nephew residing in Trinidad.

Gordon Hunter
Gordon C. Hunter, 76, St. Augustine, died May 15, 1997, at Mariner Health Care Center. He was born in Toccoa, Ga., and he had resided in St. Augustine for the past 46 years. He was one of the first 10 men in blue on the city police department, and he retired from the auto body department in 1986. He also worked as a security guard for the Wells Fargo at Camachee Cove. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose No. 1017 since 1973.
Private funeral services are planned.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Laura; two sons, Terry Brown, Dennorn, Va., Wayne Brown, Jacksonville; two daughters, Judy Ann Watts, St. Augustine, Lori Ann Nabors, Greenville, S.C.; two brothers, Tommy Hunter, Toccoa, Albert Hunter, Crescent City; a nephew, Donald Mills, Toccoa; four grandsons, Terry Brown, Jeremy Brown, Wayne Brown II, Travis Nabors; and his beloved companion, Rascal.
Craig Funeral Home is in charge.

Margaret Lacy
Margaret Eloise Lacy, 64, St. Augustine, died May 15, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. She was born in Wildwood, and she had worked for the St. Johns County Sheriff's Department for 16 years before retiring as the personnel officer. She was a member of Cathedral Parish, and she was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, with the Rev. Robert Baker, pastor, and the Rev. Jeremiah Lambe, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at Craig Funeral Home. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Lacy; a daughter, Alicia Ann McWhorter, St. Augustine; a sister, Marvice Smith, Fort Payne, Ala.; one brother, Ferman Rayborn, Williston; and a granddaughter, Jennifer McLaughlin.

Deacon Anderson
Deacon Hurley Albert Anderson Sr., 79, 680 N. McLaughlin St., died May 17, 1997, at Mariner Health Care Center. Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Louise Cooper
Louise Cooper, 67, 704 S. State St., Bunnell, died at home May 16, 1997. Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Margie Craig
Margie Lee Craig, 56, St. Augustine, died May 16, 1997, at her home. She was born in Fayette County, W. Va., and had resided here since 1965. She owned and operated Rentz Fuel Oil Co.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Chip Nicholas, pastor of St. Augustine Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband, Calvin G. Craig Sr., three sons, George Lee Craig and Calvin ``Jerry'' Craig Jr., both of St. Augustine, and Cecil Eugene Craig; her mother, Margaret M. Alley, St. Augustine; a sister, Lena Huffmaster, Del City, Okla.; a brother, George Alley, Kenova, W. Va.; and five grandchildren.

John Martin
John Franklin Martin, 76, St. Augustine, died May 17, 1997, at his home. He was born in Wakulla, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was employed for 29 years with Lindsay Pest Control, Jacksonville, and he had resided in St. Augustine since 1984. He was of the Baptist faith. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home. Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to the American Cancer Society, POB 5355, St. Augustine, 32085; or to Hospice Northeast, 1400 Old Dixie Hwy, Suite A, St. Augustine, 32086. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Gibson Martin, St. Augustine; three stepdaughters, Pamela Jernigan, Cynthia Rosales, both of Houston, Texas, Rosemary Fleming, Rhododendron, Ore.; a sister, Fannie Hines, Salt Springs; and eight grandchildren.

Sadie Rainone
Sadie Marie "Angel" Rainone, 43, St. Augustine, died May 16, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. She was born in Louisville, Ky., and she had resided here since 1996. She was a member of Pentecostal Revival Center. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Survivors include her mother, Martha Bray, Louisville; a daughter, Venus M. Hall, St. Augustine; three sons, Thomas, Ray and Mark Rainone; one sister, Alice L. Bray, two brothers, Dennis and Donald Bray, all of Louisville. Craig Funeral Home is in charge.

Kenneth Andrews
Kenneth E. Andrews, 67, Inverness, died May 13, 1997, in Inverness. He was born in Cedar Key, and he moved to Inverness 30 years ago from St. Augustine. He worked for 12 years for Southern Bell while living in St. Augustine; and married the former Nancy Lee Clarke of St. Augustine. He was a facility manager for Sprint in Inverness for 28 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Inverness, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean Conflict.
A service of remembrance was held May 16 at 11 a.m. at Hooper Funeral Home, Inverness, with Dr. B.H. Adams, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Inverness, officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Nancy Lee Clarke Andrews, Inverness; one daughter, Terri L. Kershaw, Ocala; a son, Michael E. Andrews, Palm Bay; two sisters, Marjorie Sistrunk, Lake City, Jackie Padgett, Cedar Key; and two grandchildren.

Geraldine Weedman
Geraldine Weedman, St. Augustine, died early today at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville. Arrangements will be announced by Craig Funeral Home.

Hurley Anderson Sr.
Deacon Hurley Albert Anderson Sr., 79, 680 McLaughlin St., died May 17, 1997, at Marine Health Care Center. He was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine, and he was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, serving on the board of deacons. He was a member of SDW Ancient City Mt. Horeb Lodge No. 20, F&AM.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with the Rev. Major Highman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, and at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
Survivors include his wife, Uteaner Anderson, St. Augustine; two daughters, Joe Ann Ulmer, Jacksonville, Fay Ann Davis, St. Augustine; eight sons, Hurley Jr., Edward, Albert, Donald, Vermont, Randell, Kendall and Avery; 48 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Charles Calloway
Charles Calloway Sr., 39, died May 16, 1997, at 202 Richardson Place, following a long illness. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, and he worked as a farm laborer. He also attended Hastings High School.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Floyd Calloway, Hastings; a son, Charles Calloway Jr., Hastings; five daughters, Reshane Lewis, Hastings, Angelita Williams, Daytona Beach, Georgia Mae Calloway, Palatka, Sharicka Calloway, Riverhead, N.Y., Nakisha Frazier, Armstrong.
Arrangements will be announced by Coleman's Mortuary.

Louise Cooper
Louise Cooper, 64, Bunnell, died May 16, 1997, at her home. She was born in San Mateo, and she had resided in Bunnell for 63 years. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church, Bunnell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Hymon, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast. Friends may call at the church from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday; and from noon Saturday until the hour of services.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Johnson; seven daughters, Evelyn Cooper, Deloris Scipio, Miami, Christine Hudson, Sarah Thurston, Jacksonville, Frances Tomlin, St. Augustine, Prunie Wadsworth, Marsha Lee, DeLand; six sons, Johnny, Ocala, Leonard, George, Minister Samuel, Sim, all of Bunnell, William, DeLand; 40 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Keith Renn
Keith Reynolds Renn, 43, died April 30, 1997, in Jacksonville. He was a former St. Augustine resident, and he was reared in Key Biscayne. He was born in Berwin, Ill.
Memorial services were held at the Key Biscayne Beach Club.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Renn, Oaxaca, Mexico; a brother, Robert Renn, Perrine; one sister, Robin Jones, Charlotte, N.C.; and other relatives.

Geraldine Weedman
Geraldine Phyllis Weedman, 68, St. Augustine, died May 21, 1997, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville. She was born in Green Cove Springs, and she owned and operated Weedman's Grocery Store. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick Carroll, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include her husband, Earl J. Weedman, St. Augustine; one daughter, Shirley Spooner, Daytona Beach; a son, Randolph Weedman, Jacksonville; one sister, Velma Donaldson, Orangedale; three brothers, Purvis Pacetti, Cudjoe Key, Frank Pacetti, Melbourne, Bill Pacetti, St. Augustine; one grandson and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services for Mary K. Woods, 88, St. Augustine, who died May 4, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, with the Rev. Seamus O'Flynn, pastor, officiating.

Carmen Aguado DeMoreta, 77, West Palm Beach, formerly of St. Augustine, died May 20, 1997, at St. Mary's Medical Center, West Palm Beach.
Funeral services were held Thursday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, Palm Beach, with burial following at Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
Those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach 33401.
Survivors include her husband, Jose M. DeMoreta, West Palm Beach; six children, Carmen C. George, O'Brien, Cristina M.
