Graveside services for Vernon Alexander Hartley, 71, St. Augustine, who died June 30, 1997, at Mariner Health Care Center, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at San Lorenzo Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Frampie Kearse Jr.
Frampie "Dank" Kearse Jr., 59, St. Petersburg, died June 28, 1997, at Bayfront Medical Center, following a brief illness. He moved to St. Augustine at an early age and attended schools in St. Johns County. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1980.
Survivors include four brothers, Charlie Kearse, St. Petersburg, Nathaniel and Thomas Kearse, both of Los Angeles, Calif., Cleveland Capers, Cocoa; and other relatives.
Arrangements will be announced by Coleman's Mortuary.

Dennis Peeples
Dennis Peeples, 36, Armstrong, died July 1, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West, following a long illness. Arrangements will be announced by Coleman's Mortuary.

Anita Spina
Anita E. Spina, 80, 611 Gerona Road, died June 26, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. She was born in New York, and she came to St. Augustine 45 years age from Syracuse, N.Y. She was a retired manager of a dry cleaning company.
Services will be private. Croyle Funeral Home is in charge.

Della Van Dyke
Della Alma Van Dyke, 83, 766 W. King St., died June 29, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. She was born in Live Oak, and she had resided in St. Augustine since early childhood. She was a member of St. Luke AME Church, serving as organist for over 20 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke AME Church, with the Rev. Ronald Stafford, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in San Sebastian Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 9 p.m., today, and at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the hour of services.
Survivors include daughters, Carlotta Meneese, Cleveland, Ohio, Shirley Dickerson, Palm Coast, Brenda Mitchell, Hinesville, Ga.; three sons, Frank Van Dyke, Miami, Elliot Van Dyke, St. Augustine, Leon Van Dyke, Jacksonville; 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Janey Younginer
Janey Mitchell Younginer, 77, St. Augustine, died July 1, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. She was born in Westminster, S.C., and she had resided in St. Augustine for the past five years. She was a retired teacher, and she began teaching in South Carolina, but worked a majority of her career in Fitzgerald, Ga. She was a former member of the First Methodist Church of Fitzgerald and of the Church of the Wildwood, Macon, Ga. She was currently a member of First United Methodist Church of St. Augustine and was a member of the United Methodist Women's Circle.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Union Methodist Church Cemetery, Irmo, S.C., with the Caughman-Harman Funeral Home in charge. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the ALS Association, 21021 Ventura Blvd., Suite 321, Woodland Hills, Calif. 91364-2206.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl W. Younginer, and by a daughter, Karla J. Collins.
Survivors include two daughters, Dee Goode, Jesup, Ga., Polly Kirdnual, St. Augustine; one son, Van Younginer, Douglasville, Ga.; a brother, J. Harold Mitchell, Moultrie, Ga.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

William Wingo Sr.
William Thurman Wingo Sr., 70, St. Augustine, died June 28, 1997, at his home. He was born in High Point, N.C., and he had resided in St. Augustine for the past 34 years. He owned and operated Island Tire Company. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Private services are planned.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Ruth Wingo, St. Augustine; four daughters, Ruth Wingo Roebuck, Conyers, Ga., Lara L. Wingo, St. Augustine, Terry Joann Wingo Haire, Crescent City, Linda Wingo Peralta, St. Augustine; three sons, William Thurman Wingo Jr., Walter Lee Wingo, both of St. Augustine, Wayne Harvey Wingo, Jacksonville; 12 grandchildren, Steve and Sheena Wingo, St. Augustine, Michele and Michael Roebuck, Conyers, Jennifer and Melissa Wingo, Saleem Yakoubi, Chris Alkhoury, Virgil E. Wingo, all of St. Augustine, Wayne H. Wingo Jr., Connecticut, Kelvin Haire Jr., Crescent City; Cheyanne Wingo, Jacksonville; one great-grandchild, Tayler M. Wingo, St. Augustine; a sister, Betty Jane Tester, Santa Ana, Calif.; three brothers, Bate Wingo, Rocky Mountain, N.C., Walter R. Wingo, Hastings, Conrad A. Krouse, Santa Ana.

Dennis Peeples, 36, 6196 Armstrong Road, died July 1, 1997, at Flagler Hospital, following a long illness. He was a member of the Class of 1980 at Hastings High School, and he later moved to Lubbock, Texas, where he was employed by the State University as a custodian. He returned to Florida in 1994. He was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Armstrong, with the Rev. David Eleby officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Cemetery. Friends may call at Coleman's Mortuary, Hastings, from 4-8:30 p.m., today, and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services.
Survivors include his mother, Annie Lee Peeples, Armstrong; five brothers, John Henry Peeples III, Charles Peeples Sr., both of Hastings, Victor Peeples, Ernest Peeples, William Peeples, all of Armstrong; three sisters, Barbara Peeples, Hastings, Carolyn Peeples, Armstrong, and Margaret Anderson, St. Augustine.

Patricia White
Patricia Louise White, 50, St. Augustine, died July 3, 1997, at her home. She was born in Miami, and she had resided here for the past 30 years. She had worked for 20 years as an LPN in the Intensive Care Unit at Flagler Hospital. She was a member of San Sebastian Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at San Sebastian Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Cleatus Nwabuzo officiating. Inurnment cqwill be in St. Augustine Memorial Park Mausoleum at a later date. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday with prayers being recited at 7 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a donation in her memory to Hospice Northeast, 1400 Old Dixie Hwy., St. Augustine, 32086; or to the American Cancer Society, POB 5355, St. Augustine, 32085.
She is survived by her mother; one daughter, Cindy Lewis, Colorado Springs, Col.; a son, Alan White Jr., Tennessee; one sister, seven grandchildren and beloved companion of many years, Barbara Koziol.

Leon Conlee
Leon S. "Lee" Conlee, 67, Palatka, vice mayor of the city of Palatka, and a Palatka city commissioner since 1973, died July 2, 1997, at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, Kenora, Ontario, Canada. He was born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and he had resided in Palatka since 1956. He also played minor league baseball with the Chicago White Sox, and he retired in 1991 as assistant superintendent of the Tissue Mill, after working for Hudson Pulp and Paper and Georgia Pacific for 36 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Palatka, and he was currently serving as senior warden for the River Region of the Episcopal Diocese of Florida. He was also active in community organizations ranging from the board of the North Florida Council of Boy Scouts of America and chairman of the Florida League of Cities Liability Trust to the American Cancer Society, historical preservation organizations and the Palatka Masonic Lodge No. 34, F&AM, and member and past president of the Putnam County Shrine Club. He was a member of the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, Azalea City Kiwanis Club, and he'd received numerous honors for community service, including the Florida League of Cities Municipal Official of the Year and the Jaycees Distinguished Service Award, as well as the Silver Beaver Award from the North Florida Boy Scouts.
Funeral services were held today at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Palatka, with the Rt. Rev. Stephen H. Jecko, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Florida, and the Rev. Robert F. Marsh Jr. officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
Those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 200 Main St., Palatka, 32177.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Joyce H. Conlee, Palatka; two daughters, Elizabeth Conlee Jones, Tampa, Carole Conlee Westbury, Jacksonville; a son, Kim Lee Conlee, Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Ralph Conlee, Gansevoort, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home, Palatka, was in charge.

Elizabeth Primm
Elizabeth Adams Primm, 89, died July 5, 1997, at the St. Augustine Retirement Home. She was born in Raritan, N.J., and she resided there until she moved to St. Augustine Beach in 1992. Prior to her retirement in 1972, she was employed in various positions in garment factories in Raritan and Somerville, N.J. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 149 and once served as union representative for her fellow employees.
Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Helen T. Pranzatelli, St. Augustine Beach; one sister, Julia Adams Broccoli, Union, N.J.; two grandchildren and other relatives.
Croyle Funeral Home is in charge. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Raritan, with the Hannon Funeral Home in charge.
Those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to Hospice Northeast, 1400 Old Dixie Hwy., Suite A, St. Augustine, 32086, or to a favorite charity.

Roque Sanchez
Funeral services for Roque Sanchez, 88, St. Augustine, who died July 5, 1997, at St. Johns Health Care Center, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today.

Mamie Anthony
Mamie Nell Anthony, 77, 39 Spring St., died July 7, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Chrissie Baker
Chrissie Frances Baker, 39, St. Augustine, died July 6, 1997, at her home. She was born in Putnam, Conn., and she had resided here for the past six years. She was a 1996 graduate of St. Johns River Community College, and she was of the Catholic faith.
Memorial services will be held in Connecticut. Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to a favorite charity.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Baker, St. Augustine; her mother, Ramona Nelson, Pomfret, Conn.; her father, William F. Nelson Sr., Pomfret; two sisters, Kathy Hess, Pomfret, Lori Giambattista, Brooklyn, Conn.; two brothers, William F. Nelson Jr., Dana Point, Calif., Gary Nelson, Danielson, Conn.; and other relatives.
Craig Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Mildred Faith
Mildred C. Faith, 86, died July 6, 1997. She was born July 30, 1910, in Omaha, Neb., and she lived most of her life in Lynn, Mo., moving to St. Augustine in 1982.
Survivors include two daughters, Jacquelyn Kenyon, Palm Valley, Susan Sarsfield, Stone Mountain, Ga.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, George L. Faith, in 1980, and by a son, Robert Edwin Faith, who died in 1992.
Alternative Choice Cremation Society, Jacksonville Beach, is in charge.

Herbert Gilliard
Herbert Gilliard, 62, 20 Bernard St., died early this morning in Flagler Hospital East. Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Brenda Rye
Brenda Joyce Rye, 52, died July 3, 1997, following an extended illness. She spent 21 years as a pharmacist in Montgomery, Ala., and Charlotte, N.C., before moving to St. Augustine in 1993.
A memorial mass is planned at 10 a.m. Friday at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, in her memory, to a favorite charity.
Survivors include her husband, John; her mother, Pearl Mutzfeld; her father, Ralph Cochran; and a brother, Chuck Mutzfeld.

Mamie Anthony
Mamie Nell Anthony, 77, 39 Spring St., died July 7, 1997, in Flagler Hospital East. She was born in Barnwell, S.C., and she had resided here since 1923. She attended Excelsior High School, and she was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with the Rev. Major Highman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, and at the church from 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
Survivors include daughters, Rhonda Matthews, St. Augustine, Beverly Parker, Jacksonville; a son, Eric Anthony, St. Augustine; brothers, Johnnie Anthony, St. Augustine, Charles Anthony, Long Island, N.Y.; sisters, Rivanna Baker, New York City, Catherine Adams, St. Augustine; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and other relatives.

Clara Collins
Clara Causey Collins, 90, St. Augustine, died July 9, 1997, at the St. Johns Health Care Center. She was born in San Mateo, and she had resided here since 1990, having moved here from Jacksonville. She was retired from the Federal Government, having worked as an accounting supervisor, and she was of the Catholic faith.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Craig Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Lindenfelser of the Cathedral-Basilica officiating. Burial will be in Sampson Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at Craig chapel. Friends may call at the chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to a favorite charity.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Diamond, Ocala, Eva Wilson, St. Augustine; and two brothers, Samuel R. Causey, St. Augustine, George E. Causey, Marco Island.

Lillian Goodwin
Lillian A. (Williams) Christiansen Goodwin, 72, Athol, Mass., died July 9, 1997, in the Leo P. Lachance Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Gardner, Mass. She was born in Milford, Conn., and she resided in St. Augustine for 32 years, before moving to Athol seven years ago.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at St. Francis of Assisi Church. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the American Cancer Society, 7 Oak St., Worcester, Mass. 01609, or to a favorite charity.
Mrs. Goodwin was the wife of the late Joseph Christiansen. He died in 1967. Her second husband, John Goodwin, died in 1988.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Christiansen, Athol, Thomas Christiansen, Jonesboro, Ark.; two brothers, Robert Williams, Northfield, Mass., Charles Williams, Milford, Conn.; three sisters, Matilda Pallo, Florida, Irene Filanowski, Connecticut, Frances Egan, Texas; and three grandchildren.
