Mary Kaye Smith Tinsley, 67, 8345 Colee Cove Road, died May 20, 1998.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, Spartanburg, S.C. Burial will be in Yarborough Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the Neilsen Organ Transplant Foundation, Methodist Medical Center, 580 W. 8th St., Jacksonville, 32209.
Survivors include her husband, James M. Tinsley Sr., St. Augustine; two sons, James M. Tinsley Jr., Stuart, William C. Tinsley, Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Thomas G. Smith, Decatur, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
The J.F. Floyd Mortuary, Spartanburg, is in charge.

Mary Cook
Mary Agnes Cook, 76, St. Augustine, died May 21, 1998, in St. Augustine. She was born in Balsam, N.C., and she moved to Florida in 1934. She was retired from AT&T after 28 years, and she was a member of the Pioneers of America and ABWA.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 6940 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, with the Rev. Earl Ashe officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-9 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. Cook was the wife of the late Eugene W. Cook.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda J. Johnson, St. Augustine; a son, Steven C. Cook, Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Lora Capone
Lora Audrey Capone, 78, St. Augustine, died May 22, 1998, at the St. Augustine Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Bartow, and she had resided in St. Augustine since 1966. She was a pharmacy assistant, and she was of the Catholic faith.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Memorial Park, with the Rev. William Mooney, pastor of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, officiating. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Capone; a daughter, Theresa A. Greenleaf, St. Augustine; one grandson, Benjamin William Greenleaf, and a great-granddaughter, Kristen Marie Greenleaf.

Cyrus Gover
Funeral services for Cyrus Lorenzo Gover, 83, a nationally known educator of the deaf and first high school principal at California School for the Deaf, Riverside, were held May 18 at Craig Funeral Home. Burial followed in St. Augustine Memorial Park.
Mr. Gover, who died May 13 of cancer, was residing in St. Augustine with his sister, Nettie Fleming.
Involved in the field of deaf education for 31 years, he served as high school principal for 16 years, until his retirement in 1971. He was known in the profession for organizing professional development workshops on deaf education resources and instruction, according to former St. Augustine resident Kenneth Randall, now the California school's superintendent. Mr. Gover began there as a teacher in 1953. Randall and Mr. Gover's sister both noted that Mr. Gover kept in touch with the students, with school life and with alumni. He also tried to bring out the best in his students, added his sister.
Mr. Gover was born in Stanford, Ky., and he lived in Riverside for 44 years before moving to St. Augustine in 1997. He earned a degree in chemistry in 1938 from Centre College, Danville, Ky., and he earned a master's degree in deaf education from Gallaudet College, Washington, D.C.

Lucille Gray
Funeral services for Lucille M. Gray, 58, St. Augustine, who died May 20, 1998, at St. Luke's Hospital, Jacksonville, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with Pastor Jim Richards officiating. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

Benjamin Horne
Benjamin C. Horne, 72, St. Augustine, died May 21, 1998, at Southside Health Care Center, Jacksonville.
Friends may call at Croyle Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

George Kabus
Memorial services for George F. Kabus, 58, St. Augustine, who died May 9, 1998, at Flagler Hospital West, will be held at 9 a.m. today at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jeremiah Lambe officiating.

Benjamin Horne
Benjamin C. Horne, 72, St. Augustine, died May 21, 1998, at Southside Health Care Center, Jacksonville.

Audrey Miller
Audrey Florence Miller, 71, St. Augustine, died May 22, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. She was born in Astoria, N.Y., and had resided in St. Augustine for the past 13 years. She was retired as a supervisor of an electronics factory.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Fenner, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
She is survived by her husband, Berthold William Miller; one daughter, Deborahlee Woods, Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Robert Opp, St. Augustine; and two grandchildren.

Frances Bouviere
A memorial Mass for Maj. Frances M. Bouviere, 69, who died May 20, 1998, at Flagler Hospital, will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Mooney officiating.

Fannie Sanders
Fannie Ruth Sanders, 75, St. Augustine, died May 23, 1998, at her home. She was born in Sebastopol, Miss., and was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
She is survived by two sons, Victor Sanders, St. Augustine, and Michael Sanders, Houston, Texas; a brother, Willy Johnson, Arlington, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Alfred Auge
Alfred Auge, 87, St. Augustine, died May 24, 1998, at the Buckingham Smith Home. He was born in Germany, and he had resided here for the past 22 years. He was a retired estimator for a lithographing company, and he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Independent Bible Church.
Memorial services were to be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Independent Bible Church, with the Rev. Charles Lichtenberger, pastor, officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Auge, St. Augustine; three daughters, Betty Dingeff, Alpharetta, Ga., Diana Albee, Eatonton, Ga., Ellie Dowling, St. Augustine; one son, Charles Auge, St. Augustine; a brother, William Auge, California; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Patricia Sawyer
Patricia K. Sawyer, 66, Warren, Minn., and Pocono Manor, Pa., died May 25, 1998, in Alltru Hospital, Grand Forks, N.C. She was born in Elizabeth, N.J., and she had worked for Eastern Airlines for 15 years, helping in the opening of the Milwaukee Eastern Airlines base and last working from Washington, D.C. After graduating from high school, she continued her education at Tusculum, in Tennessee, and she graduated from New York University. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, Tannersville, Pa.
She was a part-time resident of St. Augustine, and she and her husband owned a variety of properties in this area.
A Mass of Christian burial is planned at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, Tannersville, with the Rev. Henry E. Zapotocki as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Plainfield, N.J.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Sawyer; one son, Richard Timothy Sawyer, Pocono Manor; and a grandson.
William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg, Pa., is in charge.

Jack Bacon
Jack Bacon, 66, Fernandina Beach, a former St. Augustine resident, died May 21, 1998, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville. He was born in Tazewell County, Va., and he was the son of the late Mitchell A. Bacon and Elizabeth Altizer Bacon. He had been employed by the city of Fernandina Beach for the past 31 years, and he was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at Bible Baptist Church at 10 a.m. May 23, with Pastor Dan Powers officiating. Burial was in Bosque Bella Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tommy M. Bacon Jr., Rex Lester, Sonny Davis, Bill Sullenger, Tollie Strickland and Jerry Hatton.
Mr. Bacon was the father of the late Brian Bacon.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Daniel, Alabama, Steven, Fernandina Beach; a daughter, Brandy, Fernandina Beach; a stepson, Donald Allred, Fernandina Beach; four sisters, Louise Young, Thelma Fazio, Delores Stevens, all of St. Augustine, Charlotte Kuter, Jackson, Ga.; four brothers, Harry N., Tommy M. Bacon, St. Augustine, William H. and Bobby L. Bacon, Georgia; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mary Baldwin
Mary Thomas Baldwin, 92, St. Augustine, died May 25, 1998, at her home. She was born in Dickenson County, Va., and she had resided here since 1985. She was of the Holiness faith.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Pentecostal Revival Center, with the Rev. Ernest Fulcher officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Squire Baldwin, St. Augustine; two daughters, Irene Adkins, Northville, Mich., Leah Newberry, Redford, Mich.; a son, Willard Baldwin, Taylor, Mich.; one sister, Nancy Hackney, Safety Harbor; a brother, Brady Thomas, Vansant, Va.; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Blankley
Memorial services for Elizabeth Alice Blankley, 78, St. Augustine, who died May 20, 1998, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Episcopal Church.

Delores Moody
Delores E. Moody, 83, Jacksonville, died May 23, 1998.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Chapel, Jacksonville. Burial will be in Jacksonville Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Crawford, Marcia Henderson, Donna Weiss, all of St. Augustine, Sadie Lewis, Mandarin; two sons, Jerald and Donald Moody; a brother, Joseph Blackburn; one sister, Pat Harris; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charles Rohmann Sr.
Memorial services for Charles Marvin Rohmann Sr., 66, St. Augustine, who died May 15, 1998, at his home, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home chapel.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a contribution in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 125 Diesel Road, St. Augustine, Fla. 32086.

Joseph Lopes
Memorial services for Joseph Lopes, 98, 52 Sunrise Blvd., St. Augustine, will be held at the Council on Aging, 11 Old Mission Ave., at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Mr. Lopes, who died May 22 in Jacksonville, was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Margaret, and by two daughters, Gladys McManon and Dorothy Pederson-Wiley.
He is survived by five grandchildren, Paul Melanson, Atlanta, Ga., Keith Pederson, St. Augustine, Scott Melanson, Kevin Pederson, Kris Pederson, all of Jacksonville; and by 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lopes was from Carregal de Sol (Portugal) and came to America in 1916, serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a submarine chaser. He moved to St. Augustine in 1970 from New York to be close to his daughter and grandchildren.
Mr. Lopes and his wife enjoyed volunteering at the Council on Aging for over 20 years.
