Kaliope Kallos
Kaliope Vratsos Kallos, Tucker, Ga., wife of the late James Kallos, died Aug. 31, 1998, at the Hospice Atlanta Center. She was born in Alatasata, Asia Minor, Aug. 7, 1907, and her family became refugee victims twice. The first time, they fled to Syros and later returned to their family home in Alatsata. The second time, in 1922, they fled to Chios and never returned to Asia Minor.
Mrs. Kallos was a longtime resident of Sommerville, Mass., and she was a member of the Greek Ladies Philoptochos Society at the Dormition Greek Orthodox Church.
The Trisagion Memorial Service will be conducted at 8 p.m. today, with viewing from 7-9 p.m. today at Turner Funeral Home, Decatur, Ga. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Annunciation Cathedral, Atlanta, with her son, Bishop John Kallos, officiating, assisted by several priests. Burial will be in Green Wood Cemetery, Atlanta.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the St. Photios National Shrine, POB 1960, St. Augustine, 32085.
Survivors include one son, Bishop John Kallos, president of the St. Photios Greek Orthodox National Shrine, St. Augustine; a brother, Emmanuel Vratsos, Athens, Greece; a sister, Angelike Kotsiaridou, Piraeus, Greece; six nieces and nephews in Greece and in the United States.

Kenneth McLeod Jr.
Kenneth McLeod Jr., 87, St. Augustine, died Aug. 29, 1998, at the Wilson Nursing Home. He was born in Altoona, Pa., and he was a member of Coronado United Methodist Church, New Smyrna Beach. He moved to New Smyrna Beach from Orlando in 1973, and to St. Augustine in 1993. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and from Martin Marietta, Orlando, where he'd served as an aviation technician.
Survivors include a sister, Rebecca Boone, and one brother, John McLeod, both of St. Augustine.
Baldwin-Hughey Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.

Josephine Morris
Josephine Brumfield Morris died Aug. 26, 1998, at her home on Nelmar Avenue. She was born in Tylertown, Miss., and she had resided here since 1962. She was a graduate of Duke University and of Louisiana State University Graduate School, and she taught in the public schools of Mississippi and Tennessee, and she also served as a professor at Southeastern Louisiana University. During World War II, she spent three years working for the American Red Cross in France and Germany. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Parish.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery next to her husband of 40 years, Dr. Mason Morris Jr.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the American Cancer Society, POB 5355, St. Augustine, 32085; to Hospice Northeast, 1400 Old Dixie Hwy., Suite A, St. Augustine, 32086; or to Trinity Episcopal Church, 215 St. George St., St. Augustine, 32084.
Survivors include one son, John Wallace Morris, St. Augustine; and three brothers, Stanley Brumfield, Magnolia, Mass., Ike and Douglas Brumfield, Jackson, Miss.

Ana Mundaca
Ana Cecilia Mundaca, 79, St. Augustine, died Aug. 30, 1998, at her home. She was born in Chile, and she lived in Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to St. Augustine 18 years ago. She was a member of Cathedral Parish.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Ciro; a daughter, Ann Marie Moon, St. Augustine; two sons, Ciro A. Mundaca, Arvida, Col., Fred Mundaca, Staten Island, N.Y.; a sister, Elena Wool, San Francisco, Calif.; one brother, Oscar Idoro, Antofagasta, Chile; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Henry Robinson
Henry Isaac Robinson, 66, Palm Coast, died Aug. 29, 1998, at his home. He was born in Manhasset, L.I., N.Y., and he had resided here since 1989. He was a member of the First AME Church, and he also held membership in the New York City Transit Retirees of Florida, the African-American Cultural Society, Palm Coast Gun Club and the Daytona Beach Branch of the NAACP.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First AME Church, Palm Coast, with the Rev. G. Glover officiating. Burial will be in Flushing Cemetery, N.Y. Friends may call at the church from 6 to 8 p.m., today.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Robinson, Palm Coast; one son, Donald J. Robinson, New York City; one sister, Amanda Davis, Forrest Hills, N.Y.; and one grandchild and other relatives.
Chase and Son Funeral Home is in charge.

Sheila Sculley
Sheila Mary Barker Sculley, 77, Palm Beach Gardens, died Aug. 31, 1998. She was born in Edgewater, N.J., and moved to Palm Beach Gardens when she was an infant. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 52 years, Col. Raymond Sculley. During her first husband's 28-year military career, Mrs. Sculley lived in many areas of the world - Canada, Germany and Thailand. The Sculleys settled in Hampton, Va., in 1970, and Col. Sculley died in 1989.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Main Chapel, Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, Va.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sept. 8 at Fort Myer Chapel, Arlington National Cemetery, followed by a burial service.
Friends may call at the Bucktrout Funeral Home in Williamsburg, Va., from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association or the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
Survivors include her husband, Steven Decatur Ayers; five children, Dr. Jay Raymond Sculley, Vienna, Va., Stephen Leonard Sculley, St. Augustine, Sheila Sculley Smith, Williamsburg, Mark Christian Sculley, Herreuberg, Germany, Shawn Patrick Sculley Sr., West Palm Beach; two sisters, Nancy Barker Sievert, Waldwick, N.J., Mary Baker Croxton, Mulberry; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Jewell Crawford
Jewell Marie Crawford, 86, St. Augustine, died Sept. 1, 1998, at Flagler Hospital West. She was born in Hurricane, W.Va., and she had resided here for the past 38 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, with Wayne Fenner, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating.
Survivors include one daughter, Terri Hagan, one sister, Eunice Basham, both of St. Augustine; one brother, Harold Erwin, Gallipolis, Ohio; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Craig Funeral Home is in charge.

Troy Glover
Funeral services for Troy Jefferson Glover, 75, St. Augustine, who died Aug. 31, 1998, at the VA Medical Center, Lake City, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Alton Lister, pastor of the First Apostolic Church, officiating. Friends may call at the Craig chapel from 10:30 a.m. Friday until the hour of services.

Rodney Hook
Rodney A. Hook, 52, St. Augustine, died Aug. 31, 1998, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Arrangements will be announced by Masters Funeral Home, Palatka.

John Mainardi
John Mainardi, 68, St. Augustine, died Sept. 1, 1998, at St. Johns Health Care Center. He was born in Patterson, N.J., and he had resided in St. Augustine for the past 10 years. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, St. Augustine; his mother, Julia Mainardi, Haledon, N.J.; a daughter, Sandra Mainardi, Wayne, N.J.; one stepdaughter, Patricia Leach, Germantown, Md.; three sons, Russell Minardi, Wayne, Mark Peter Mainardi, Arlington, Va., John Mainardi Jr., Middleburg; a stepson, David Abbott, Queensbury, N.Y.; one brother, Eugene Mainardi, Haledon; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be announced by Craig Funeral Home.

William Arapage
William G. Arapage, 82, St. Augustine, died Aug. 28, 1998, at Flagler Hospital West. He was born in Manchester, N.H., and he lived there until he moved to St. Augustine in 1988. He was a purchaser and printer for the Catholic Medical Center in New Hampshire.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, State Road 16. A luncheon is planned for the participants, following the service.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Zoe Theodore Arpage; two daughters, Jean Arpage Skinner, Enterprise, Kan., Barbara Arpage Whitehurst, Orange Park; a sister, Viola Metaleos, Manchester; two brothers, Timothy, Manchester, John, Oxford, Mass.; four grandchildren, five nieces and six nephews.

Elizabeth Calhoun
Elizabeth Tyson Calhoun, 99, Athens, Ga., formerly of St. Augustine, died Aug. 30, 1998, at St. Mary's Long Term Care, Athens. She was born in Ossining, N.Y., and she was a member of St. Cyprian Episcopal Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel. Friends may call at the chapel from noon Thursday until the hour of services.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Hobday, Athens; and other relatives.

Troy Glover
Troy Jefferson Glover, 75, St. Augustine, died Aug. 31, 1998, at the VA Medical Center, Lake City. He was born in Middlesex, N.C., and he retired from the U.S. Army CID. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Alton Lister, pastor of the First Apostolic Church, officiating. Friends may call at the Craig chapel from 10:30 a.m. Friday until the hour of services.
Survivors include his wife, Veronika; a daughter, Karen Glover Beasley, Anchorage, Alaska; two sons, Kenneth Glover, Vietnam, Jerry Glover III, Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Curtis Glover, Middlesex, Wilbur Glover, Rocky Mount, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

Leonard Miller
Leonard Clifton Miller, 88, St. Augustine, died Aug. 31, 1998, at Flagler Hospital West. He was born in Lawrenceville, Ill., and he had resided here since 1916. He was a graduate of Stanton Military Academy and the University of Florida, and he operated J.O. Miller Garage with the Packard and Willys dealerships. Later, he owned and operated the Leonard C. Miller Nationwide Insurance Agency from 1950 until his retirement in 1975.
He served in World War II as captain in the 330th Ordnance Depot, with campaigns in the European, African, Middle Eastern and Rhineland areas. He was a member of the Florida National Guard from 1949-53, serving as a captain and command officer of Battery B.
He was a member of Cathedral Parish, where he served as a head usher for over 30 years, and he was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, First Florida Council No. 611. He was a former member of Elks Lodge NO. 829.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to Lifeline, c/o the Pilot Club of St. Augustine, POB 3761, St. Augustine, 32085.
Survivors include his wife, Taine Miller, and one sister, Catherine Miller Hardee, both of St. Augustine.

John Eubanks Jr.
John Charles Eubanks Jr., 47, Tallahassee, died Sept. 1, 1998, at Columbia Hospital, Lake City. He was born in St. Augustine, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Class of 1969 at Richard J. Murray High School. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his mother, Rosa Lee Green, St. Augustine; a daughter, Melvina Robinson, California; brothers, Derek Eubanks, St. Augustine, Gil L. Wise, Orlando; sisters, Ernestine Brant, Columbus, Ga., Madeline Wise, Jacksonville; his grandmother, Mary Hall, St. Augustine; and other relatives.
Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Rodney Hook
Rodney A. Hook, 52, Salt Springs, formerly of St. Augustine, died Aug. 31, 1998, from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Putnam County. He was born in Rahway, N.J., and he had been a resident of Salt Springs for the past year, moving there from St. Augustine. He served in the U.S. Navy, and he had worked for 28 years in the computer industry as a systems analyst in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He formerly owned the St. Augustine Beach Kampground of America (KOA), and he owned and operated the Frontier Dance Hall and Restaurant near Salt Springs. He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 829.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Masters Funeral Home, Palatka, with the Rev. Charles Devane officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jackie Hook; his parents, Ralph and Gloria Hook, all of Salt Springs; one daughter, Cari Ann Hook, New Jersey; and one brother, Brian Hook, Virginia Beach, Va.

Sarah Jackson
Sarah Jackson, 62, Green Cove Springs, died Aug. 27, 1998, at her home. She was born in Roberta, Ga., and she had resided in Pier Station for 40 years. She was a member of the Truth Temple Church of God Apostle, serving on the missionary board.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First African Baptist Church, with the Rev. A. Neal, pastor, and the Rev. Willie Wright, eulogist, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Green Cove Springs. Friends may call at New Bethel Baptist Church, Pier Station, from 5 to 7 p.m., and at the First African Baptist Church from noon Saturday until the hour of services.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Jackson, Pier Station; daughters, Margaret Griner Rickerson, Sylvia Mitchell, both of St. Augustine, Ernestine Burney, Vivian Griner, Gloria Griner, Katherine Osbourne, all of Pier Station, Aglay Hollins, Rochester, N.Y.; sons, Bruce Brown, Sammy, James, Richard, Vaughn Griner, all of Pier Station, Emmitt H. Griner, Huntsville, Ala., Calvin Jackson, St. Petersburg, Frederick and Craig Jackson, both of Bradenton; brothers, Eugene and Louis Troutman, Charles and Bobby Lockett; sister, Polly Hatcher; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Chase and Son Funeral Home is in charge.

Merlin Myers
Merlin Amos Myers, 78, St. Augustine, died Sept. 2, 1998, at his home. He was born in Chicago, Ill., and he had been a winter resident of St. Augustine since 1987, moving here permanently in 1993. He was retired director of fair housing through the American Friends Service Committee, Washington, D.C., and he was active with the St. Augustine/St. Johns County Habitat for Humanity, involved with the landscaping phase. He also built all the outdoor furniture for homes built thus far by Habitat in St. Johns County. He was a private butterfly conservator, and he was a member of the Church of the Brethren (Peace Church).
No services are planned. At his request, he was an organ and tissue donor.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to St. Augustine/St. Johns County Habitat for Humanity Landscape Fund, 225 W. King St., St. Augustine, 32084.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Myers, St. Augustine; two daughters, Mickee Lynn Adrian, Titusville, Becky Lee Sterling, Bowling Green, Va.; one son, Ricky Myers, Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Gertrude Kern, Topeka, Kan.; three brothers, Dr. Phillip Myers, Madison, Wis., Ernest and Lynn Myers, both of Clermont, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
