FITZGERALD - Sandra Newell Durre, 62, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at her home in Quitman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel.

Adell Willingham Fowler
THOMASVILLE - Services for Adell Willingham Fowler of Cotton will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cotton Assembly Church. The Rev. Randy Radford and the Rev. Terry Huggins will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mrs. Fowler died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Gene Willis, Terry Willis, James E. Davis, Joey Wilson, Carroll Johnson, Carl Johnson, Royce Johnson Jr. and Mark Poitevint.
Mrs. Fowler was a homemaker and a member of Cotton Assembly Church. She was the daughter of the late Bob Robert Willingham and Mattie Ellen Willingham. She was married in Mitchell County on May 17, 1935, to Willis Benjamin Fowler who preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Wilda and C.E. (Bill) Willis of Meigs, Mildred and James Emmett Davis Sr. of Cotton, Vivian and Ronnie Albright of Hueytown, AL, Mary and Royce Johnson of Ochlocknee, Alma Jean (Jeannie) and Max Dixon of Cairo; and a stepdaughter, Hilda Waldrop of Macon; two brothers, Julius Willingham and Curtis Willingham both of Albany; 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Willene Poitevint.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Cotton Assembly Church.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Beulah Hill Baptist Church with interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

Ida Ruth Sanders
COLQUITT - Ida Ruth Sanders, 90, of Colquitt died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Miller County Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Colquitt United Methodist Church with burial in Colquitt City Cemetery. The Rev. Floyd Mitchell and the Rev. Matt Stewart will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be Charles Bevis, Clyde Jinks Jr., Ralph Thompson, Terry Toole, Kent Richardson and Gordon Richardson.
Born November 6, 1912, in Early County, Mrs. Sanders was a retired secretary for the Miller County Health Department after 26 years of service. She was a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sanders was a member of the UMW since 1944, where she was president at the local level for two terms and also served as treasurer at the local level. She was treasurer at the District level for four years and the Secretary of Financial Interpretation for two years. She also held the position of Secretary of Financial Interpretation for four years at the Conference level. She served two years as Dean of UMW School of Christian Missions at Epworth by the Sea. She served on the administrative board of Colquitt United Methodist Church council of ministries many times and was Chairman of the Council at the time of her death. She joined the Wesleyan Service Guild in 1945, and served as president for two terms, vice president and secretary. Mrs. Sanders was a member of The League where she served as treasurer, secretary and served on the nominating committee. She was a counselor for the Methodist Youth Fellowship for several years. She served on the Miller County Mental Health Advisory Council for three years. Mrs. Sanders was also a member of the Eastern Star and served as chairman of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Fund Drive for twelve years.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Talmadge Sanders of Colquitt; three daughters and sons-in-law, Allene and Hinton Harris of Macon, Patsy and Ken Waddell of Valdosta and JoRuth and Mike Porter of Riegelwood, N.C.; six grandchildren, Mike and Debbie Harris, Holly and Jim MacKenzie, Charles and Susan Harris, Paige and Bert Mileski, Heather and Mike Moore and Preston Porter; eight great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Scott Sanders Waddell and Stephanie Leigh Waddell.
