BAINBRIDGE - Katherine Brady, 84, of Bainbridge, died Wednesday, December 11, 2002. Funeral services will be held today (Sunday), 2 p.m. at Evangle Temple Assembly of God, with burial in Oak City Cemetery.

Thomas W. Bynum Jr.
FITZGERALD - Thomas W. Bynum Jr., 84, of Fitzgerald, died Friday, December 13, 2002 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. in Blakely Cemetery in Blakely, with the Rev. Henry Bass officiating.
Mr. Bynum was born on August 14, 1918 to the late Annetta Hilton Bynum and Thomas W. Bynum. He grew up in Blakely and lived in the community for the past 38 years. He was a former employee of Boney Motor Company and Winn Dixie in Fitzgerald. Mr. Bynum was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fitzgerald, and he served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Mary G. Bynum of Fitzgerald; a stepdaughter, Mary G. Freeman of St. Simmons Island; a son, Thomas W. Bynum III of Orlando, FL; two daughters, Michelle Stiffler and Stacey Kelley, both of Columbus, OH; 10 grandchildren, with a special grandson, Thomas Charles Bynum of Hammond, IA; and several Boney relatives.
Preceded in death by his parents and other family members, Ollie Boney Bynum and Scott Bynum.

Pryor Lewis Lane
DONALSONVILLE - Pryor Lewis Lane, 82, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2002 in Albany. Graveside funeral services will be today (Sunday) at 2 p.m. at Corinth Cemetery in Iron City, with the Rev. Luther Hastey will be the officiating minister. Visitation was held on Saturday, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Lane was a native of Seminole County, and the son of the late Homer and Hattie Ingram Lane. He had lived in Iron City his entire life. Mr. Lane worked for Donalsonville Motor Company for 25 years before starting his own business, Lane's Liquor Store, which he owned for 25 years before retiring in 1983. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army, a member of the Veterans of Foreign War, and the Iron City Lions Club.
Mr. Lane leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Hazel Turvin Lane of Iron City; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Lane Saunders and Doug of Sylvester; a grandson, John Lane Saunders of Sylvester; two sisters, Bessie Miller and Ila Ferguson, both of Iron City; a sister-in-law, Helen T. Camp of Albany; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James M. Lane; and two sisters, Dixie Roberts and Louise Frey Cross.

UNADILLA - Graveside services for Leola Russell of Unadilla, formerly of Macon will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Evergreen Cemetery in Unadilla.
Mrs. Russell died Monday, December 9, 2002 in a local hospital. She was a native of Albany, the daughter of the late Saul and Susie Jones. She relocated to Bibb County early in life.
Survivors include a devoted niece, Earnestine (George) Taylor of Unadilla; a sister, Ethel McMillan of Macon; a sister-in-law, Doris Jolly of Warner Robins; and a host of other relatives.
The family will receive friends at Glover's Memorial Mortuary, Macon, today (Sunday) from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. The family may be contacted at 348 Peavy St., Unadilla.

Emily Sessions Story
AMERICUS - Emily Sessions Story, 90, of 551 Middle River Road, Americus, died on Friday evening, December 13, 2002, at Sumter Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday from the Bethel Baptist Church in Sumter County, with interment to follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Story-Odum Cemetery, Acorn Pond Baptist Church, in Worth County. The Rev. Bryan Bentley will officiate.
Mrs. Story, a native of Sumner, was born January 12, 1912, a daughter of the late Dr. Walter Wesley Sessions and Verlin Frances Veasey Sessions. She was the wife of the late Carl Jackson Story who preceded her in death on January 18, 2000.
Mrs. Story was a 1931 graduate of Georgia State College for Women, now known as Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. She was an elementary school teacher in Bridgeboro and Collins, and in the Westside Elementary School in Warner Robins. She was a very active member of the Bethel Baptist Church, a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class, and a leader in the Women's Missionary Union.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 846 Lane Store Road, Americus, GA 31709.
The family will receive friends at Mrs. Story's residence, 551 Middle River Road, from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. on today (Sunday).
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce S. and Doug Carreker of Americus; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert L. Story of Warner Robins, John M. and Donna Story of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Martha Dean Blackstock of Sumner; grandchildren, Vicki and Jeff Jones and Susan and Bob Doughtry, all of Warner Robins, Russ and Patti Carreker of Columbus, Erica Story of Charlotte, NC, Emily and Kenny Spikes of Suwanee, Clarke and Chris Story of Commerce, MI; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret S. Sinclair, and by three brothers, Dr. H. Karl Sessions, William (Mack) Sessions and W. Wesley Sessions.

ALBANY - Rochelle C. Bell, 93, of 425 Robinson Ave., died Thursday, December 12, 2002 at Palmyra Medical Centers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Hines Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, with burial in Sardis Cemetery in Dawson. The Rev. Dr. M.S. Cherry officiating.
Born July 3, 1909 in Terrell County, Mrs. Bell was retired insurance agent and seamstress. She attended Terrell County Public Schools. She was a member of Hines Memorial C.M.E. Church, Modern Women Civic and Social Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary E. Crawford of Albany; a son, Lucious C. Bridges of Albany; and two nieces, Frances Williams of White Marsh, PA, and Geraldine Richardson of Hopkinsville, KY.

ALBANY - Charles C. "Chuck" Pavy, 71, (S/Sgt. USMC) of 2706 Pine Valley Road, died Saturday, December 14, 2002 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held today (Monday) at Kimbrell-Stern with entombment at Crown Hill Mausoleum. The Rev. Tony Haefs will officiate.
A native of New Orleans, LA, Mr. Pavy had lived in Albany for several years and was a member of the Catholic faith. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corp with over 20 years where he was the youngest buck sergeant in the military. He was also retired from Firestone Tire Company.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Aldred Pavy; three daughters, Debbie Phelps and her husband, David of Camilla, Debbie Dorn and her husband, James Jr. of Jacksonville, NC, Cathy Bowers of Hookstown, PA; a son, Joey Pavy and his wife, Janice of Madison, NC; 13 grandchildren including Jennifer Rigsby and her husband, Brent of Albany, Caroline Glenn and her husband, Sonny of Moultrie, Rebecca and David Phelps of Camilla; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Those desiring may make memorials to Gillionville Baptist Church, 4614 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707.
The family will be at the residence of Brent and Debbie Phelps, 1200 River Point Drive, Albany.

She leaves a great family to mourn her passing. A devoted husband, Deacon Otis Oxford; a loving father, O'Neal Wiggins Sr. of Dawson; five sisters, Lula Alexander of Jacksonville, FL, Ida Johnson, Mary Johnson, and Lucille Long, all of Orlando, FL, and Helen Wiggins of Dawson; three brothers, Jimmy Wiggins of Dawson, Willie James Wiggins of Parrott, Master Sergeant O'Neal Wiggins Jr. of Fort Campbell, KY; five stepchildren, nine step-grandchildren, eight brothers-in-law, 11 sisters-in-law, two special aunts, Margie Cladd of Sasser and Priscilla Cladd of Richland; an uncle, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
