Mary Dorsey-Johnson
ALBANY - Mary Dorsey-Johnson, 66, of 604 Haley Street, Albany, formerly of Leesburg, died Sunday, August 24, 2003, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Leesburg with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. H.C. Wilson will officiate.
Born June 11, 1937, in Lee County, Mrs. Dorsey-Johnson was a homemaker. She attended Lee County public schools. She was a member of Saint Matthews Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and served as a missionary worker.
Survivors include three daughters, Loretta J. Harper of Lithonia, Carolyn J. Lewis of Albany and Mary J. Hubbard of Fairburn; five sons, Larry Dorsey of Leesburg, Arthur Lee Johnson Jr., Sylvester Johnson and Jerome Johnson, all of Albany, and Gregory Johnson of Ellenwood; one uncle, Peter Walls of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The remains of Mrs. Dorsey-Johnson will lie-in-state at the church Saturday from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour.

ALBANY - McArthur Jackson, 52, of Route 1 Box 1855, Newton, died Monday, August 25, 2003, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Newton with interment in Bethel Cemetery in Mitchell County.
The remains of Mr. Jackson have been cremated.

James Allen McClendon
ALBANY - James Allen McClendon, 54, of 600 Holly Drive, Lot 14 died Thursday, August 28, 2003, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John/St. Mark Episcopal Church. Dr. Joe W. Clift will officiate.
Born August 21, 1949, in Dougherty County, Mr. McClendon was a chef. He graduated from Monroe High School, attended Albany Area Technical School and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his mother, Corene J. Fain; three children, Carla J. McClendon of Mableton, James Allen McClendon II and Fabienne T. McClendon of Albany; one grandchild, James Allen McClendon III.
Visitation will be at 7 p.m. today at Elliott Funeral Chapel.

Harold Lenard Smith Jr.
ALBANY - Harold Lenard Smith Jr., 60, of 1207 Firestone Drive died Sunday, August 24, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Richard Jordan will officiate.
Born October 20, 1942, in Dougherty County, Mr. Smith was a 1961 graduate of Monroe High School, served 25 years in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 512. He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Luebertha Smith; two daughters, Hiawatha Smith Thomas of Albany and Kwajalein Smith Mosley of Fort Benning; one son, Harold Smith III of Albany; three sisters, Madalynn Thomas of Thomasville, Beatrice Smith of Albany and Minnie Floyd of Rochester, NY.
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and family visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at Austin & Taylor Mortuary.

CAMILLA - Noah Matthew Lee, the infant son of Erik and Alicia West Lee, died Tuesday, August 26, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Cemetery in Meigs. The Rev. Neal Hager will officiate.
Other survivors include a sister, Holland Lee of Camilla; maternal grandparents, Earl and Sara West of Meigs; paternal grandparents, Keith and Donna Lee of Americus and Cynthia Aycock of Orlando, FL; paternal great-grandparents, Ken and Elinor Hathaway of Americus and Mary Lee of Vienna.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Woodrow Lee.
