SYLVESTER - Ola B. Etheredge, 66, of Albany died Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at Palmyra Medical Centers.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Banks Funeral Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. M.C. Powell will officiate.
Mrs. Etheredge was born November 16, 1936, in Dooly County. She had lived in Albany since 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Etheredge of Florence, S.C., and Billy Etheredge of Moultrie; four sisters, Marie Whittington of Sylvester, Jewellean Powell of Sylvester, Maggie Carlton of Albany and Margie Sirmans of Moultrie; one brother, George Brown of Moultrie; two grandchildren, Randy Etheredge Jr. and Jessica Etheredge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond S. Etheredge on June 25, 1976, and parents, William Thomas Brown and Emma Lee Register Etheredge.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

ALBANY - Lula Mary Goude, 50, of Dawson Manor died there Sunday, January 5, 2003.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Rhema Word Worship Center with interment in New Saint James Baptist Church cemetery in Worth County.

Xavier Clark Hines Sr.
ALBANY - Xavier Clark Hines Sr., 37, of 1915 Gillespie Avenue died Saturday, January 4, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Living Water Ministries, 2407 Lilly Pond, Albany, with interment in Floral Memory Garden Cemetery. Bishop Jimmy Sneed is the pastor and the Rev. Joseph Howard will officiate.
A native of Ware County, Mr. Hines was born September 23, 1965. He was self-employed as a barber. He was a 1983 graduate of Albany High School and was a Navy Veteran. He was also a member of Trinity Metropolitan Baptist Church in Albany.
Survivors include his mother, Faye Hines-Johnson and stepfather, Otis Johnson of Albany; one son, Xavier Clark Hines Jr. of Atlanta; one daughter, Essence Janae Hines of Albany; one stepsister, Zenobia Shaw of Albany; two stepbrothers, Reginald Johnson of Italy and Otis Johnson of Albany; his grandmother, Alice M. Hines of Albany; a goddaughter, LaShala S. Robinson of Albany.
The remains of Mr. Hines will lie-in-state at the church Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.

SYLVESTER - Robert Lee Jackson, 55, of 431 Northwood Drive, Poulan, died Monday, January 6, 2003, at Phoebe Worth Medical Center in Sylvester.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Jones Chapel AME Church in Sylvester with interment in Shepard Memorial Garden in Sylvester. The Rev. Eddie Lee Allen will officiate.
A native of Worth County, Mr. Jackson was a sanitation worker. He was educated in the Worth County Public School System. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include two daughters, Kendra McCoy and Allison Harp, both of Sylvester; four sons, Kim Jackson of Tampa, Fla., Terrance Jackson of Jacksonville, Fla., Robert Lee Jackson Jr. of Albany and Brandon Jackson of Sylvester; father, Joseph Jackson Sr. of Poulan; six sisters, Ruby Allen, Annette Jackson, Debra Jackson, Marilyn Jackson, Lisa Jackson, all of Sylvester, and Joeann Jackson of New York; five brothers, Joseph Jackson Jr. of Albany, Calvin Jackson of Sylvester, Keyda Jackson of Tifton, and Thomas Jackson and Fredrick Jackson, both of Virginia; two aunts, Ossy Channy of Tifton and Mary Pearl Jackson of Sylvester; 16 grandchildren.

ALBANY - James King, 76, of 2324 Newton Road, died Friday, January 3, 2003, at Palmyra Medical Centers.
The funeral service will be at noon Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sasser with burial in County Line Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. Larry James will officiate.
Mr. King was a native of Webster County.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Clay Berry King of Albany; two daughters, Helen King and Gwendolyn (Thomas) Laster of Albany; a goddaughter, Geraldine W. Henry of Albany; six sons, Alfred (Phyllis) King, Walter (Irene) King, Eddie Jerome (Jennifer) Clay, Jeremiah Hart and Reginald Berry, all of Albany, and Gary (Rita) King of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Roberta Cooley of Albany and Gladys Johnson of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Willie L. Lawson of Albany and Fletcher L. Lawson of Lake Wales, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

ALBANY - John Lowe Jr., 68, of 2200 Oxford Road, Albany, died Monday, January 6, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Third Kiokee Baptist Church with interment at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery. The Rev. Levi Breedlove will officiate.
A native of Dougherty County and Albany, Mr. Lowe was born February 17, 1934. He was a counselor with Albany Area Community Service Board and had retired in 1999. He was a graduate of Monroe High School and was an Air Force veteran. Mr. Lowe was a member of Third Kiokee Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Randolph-Lowe; his mother, Florine Mosely; five children, Michelle Lowe, Victor Lowe, Anthony Jenkins, Mark Grant and Steve Scott; a brother, Ralph Mosely; one sibling of distinction, Katie B. Caldwell; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
The remains of Mr. Lowe will lie-in-state Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.

SEALE, AL - Wayne Webster Mims Sr., 62, of Seale, AL, died Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. EST Saturday at Seale Baptist Church with the Rev. Sammy Turner officiating with interment to follow at Hyram Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Raiford, Jim Harris, Jason Harmon, Joaquin Richards, Glen Claridy, and Zachary Elver.
A native of Colquitt County, GA, Mr. Mims was born February 10, 1940. His parents were the late Amanda Blackburn Mims and Noah Shackleford Mims. Mr. Mims was the owner of Albany Glass Service. He was a member of Seale Baptist Church and the Elks Club and Exchange Clubs in Albany, and the RHBAA Horse Club and numerous other saddle clubs.
Survivors include his wife, Jan H. Mims of Seale, AL; daughter, Cynthia Marie Mixon of Panama City, FL; son, Wayne Webster Mims Jr. of Tallahassee, FL; two sisters, Willene Anderson of Valdosta and Geneva Mims of Moultrie; four brothers, John Mims of Shalimar, FL, Roger Mims of Port St. Joe, FL, Glen Mims of McDonough, and Danny Mims of Albany; eight grandchildren and 16 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

ALBANY - Andre' J. Moss, 38, of 2505 Wisconsin Street, Detroit, Mich., died Saturday, January 4, 2003, at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Mich.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church in Warwick with interment in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Warwick. The Rev. Tiller Sims, pastor, will officiate.
A native of New York City, NY, Mr. Moss was a carpenter. He attended the New York City public school system. Early in life, he was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in New York. Later, he attended New Hope Baptist Church in Warwick. After moving to Detroit, he joined Christland Baptist Church in Detroit.
Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Gill Moss; six children, Andre' Moss Jr. and Melissa Moss, both of New Jersey, Santino J. Moss, Stephanie Moss, Larry Gill, Tieverto Gill, all of Detroit; mother, Mapil Davis of Sylvester; five sisters, Gloria Gladney, Shelly Laster, both of Brooklyn, NY, Lisa Lee, Eunice Lee, both of Laurelton, NY, Roslyn Moss Johnson of Butler, GA; six brothers, James Moss Jr., Derek Davis, Cyril Swavy Jr., Michael Battle, all of New York, NY, Tito Davis and Kevin Davis, both of Sylvester; and one grandchild.

A native of Albany, Mr. Moultrie was a member of Friendship Baptist Church; was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Survivors include one daughter, Imelda Moultrie-Allen of Albany; three grandchildren, Donald Ray Moultrie of Union City, Ala., Vernita Allen and Alexandria Allen of Albany; two sisters, Aquilla (Tom) Singleton of Clarksville, Tenn., and Alice Moultrie of Albany; three brothers, John Emmit (Inez) Moultrie, Huley Lee (Doretha) Moultrie and Calvin (Dorothy) Moultrie, all of Albany; three brothers-in-law, Winfred (Sara) Benson and Wright Riley Benson, both of Albany, and Charles (Janie) Benson of Chesapeake, VA; sisters-in-law, Ardemra Moultrie and Corine Moultrie; an aunt, Lucille Moultrie, all of Albany.

Albany - Georgia Ann Wood Webb, 59, of 105 Telfair St., died Wednesday, January 8, 2003. Her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
A native of Savannah, Mrs. Webb had resided in Albany most of her life. She was a waitress and hostess and had worked at Davis Bros. Suburban and the Ramada Inn.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Baron of Leesburg; a son, Robin Kirkland Swope of Boise, Idaho; her mother, Roberta J. Wood of Leesburg; three brothers, Randy Wood, Rodney Wood, and Royce Wood, all of Leesburg; and three grandchildren, Robin Swope Jr., Kimberly Rachelle Swope and Chrystle Robin Swope.
