BAINBRIDGE - Otis L. Brock Sr., 71, of Bainbridge died Monday, January 27, 2003, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Salem Baptist Church in Climax with interment in Brock Cemetery in Bainbridge. The Rev. Ed Harrell will officiate.
Mr. Brock was born on July 13, 1931, in Decatur County, the son of Willie Lee Brock and Mary Dell Adams Brock. He married Edna Dickens Brock on July 2, 1955. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a plumber and pipe fitter. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Climax.
Survivors include his wife, Edna D. Brock of Bainbridge; a son, Otis L. Brock Jr. of Bainbridge; two daughters, Vicki B. Faircloth and Belinda B. Barwick, both of Bainbridge; two brothers, Lavon Brock of Baconton and Ennis Brock of Bainbridge; three sisters, Marie Williams of Pelham, Rosa Strickland of Tallahassee, Fla., and Sue Gilson of Copperas Cove, Texas; and eight grandchildren, Wayne Melton, Wesley Barwick, Lee Brock, Casey Brock, Stephanie Brock, Brandi Melton, Ashley Barwick and Megan Brock, all of Bainbridge.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 1323 E. Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.

CUTHBERT - Wilson Gordon "Yah" Page, 52, of Hapeville, died Monday, January 27, 2003, at Emory-Dunwoody Medical Center in Dunwoody.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at East View Cemetery in Cuthbert. The Rev. Ken Duffie will officiate.
Mr. Page was born February 13, 1950, in Blakely, Early County, GA, son of the late Robert Wilson Page and Mary Bell Page. He was a computer programmer for Southeastern Data Corporation, attended Falls College in Atlanta, and was a veteran of the US Army (Vietnam), was an avid Civil War Enactor, and was a member of Atlanta Vineyard Church where he was a youth group teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Page, of Hapeville; a daughter, Madgaline Page; and a stepdaughter, Charity Gaston, both of Hapeville; two sisters, Georgianne Page Carlisle of Taylorsville and Patrice Nipper of Douglasville; one nephew and three nieces.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Clarke W. Duncan
BUENA VISTA - Clarke W. (Sonny) Duncan died Wednesday, January 29, 2003. Sonny was born March 14, 1914, in Buena Vista, Marion County, GA. He lived in the same house for eighty five years and was a life long member of Buena Vista United Methodist Church.
He attended local schools and the University of Georgia. In October 1934, he became a clerk at the Buena Vista Loan and Savings Bank. Mr. Duncan became President of the bank in 1942, one of the youngest bank presidents in the state at that time. In 1979, he became chairman of the Board of Directors. He retired in 1983.
Sonny was a leader in his community serving as Chairman of the Marion County Board of Education for 12 years, Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Buena Vista United Methodist Church for more than 40 years. His achievements at the state level were no less impressive; President of the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia, appointed as a member of the State Board of Education for 10 years and then as a member of the State Highway Board for 12 years.
Sonny was a devoted alumnus of the University of Georgia and held several positions; President of the Alumni Society for two years, a charter member of the President's Club and a trustee of the University of Georgia Foundation. He held memberships in Sphinx, the Gridiron Secret Society, and the Heritage Society.
Other activities included: Chairman and Executive Committee member of the Magnolia Manor, the South Georgia Home for Aging Inc., Americus for over 30 years, Director of CNL Financial Corporation and Cherokee Life Insurance Company, Macon; and a member of the Big Eddy Club, Columbus.
Sonny Duncan was everybody's friend because he loved people and he received great satisfaction in helping others to help themselves. Many are much better individuals from having been touched by him. One of his greatest characteristics was an unfailing sense of humor. Seldom did he pass up an opportunity to tell a friend one of his latest stories.
Clarke W. "Sonny" Duncan married Sue Benson of Mobile, Alabama. The two of them were lockstep as leaders in local and state affairs all their lives. They reared two daughters, Kathy Duncan and Susan Duncan Plunkett, both of Atlanta. Sonny, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2003, after an extended illness.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters; two grandchildren; one sister, Bess Crittenden of Albany.
A memorial service for Mr. Duncan will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Buena Vista United Methodist Church and at 2 p.m. Monday at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta.
The family will be receiving friends at the church immediately following the services.

ALBANY - John C. MacAskill, 60, of Albany died Thursday, January 30, 2003, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2 PM at Covenant Presbyterian Chapel. Dr. William D. Coker will officiate.
A native of Chicago, IL, Mr. MacAskill was a graduate of York Community High School in Elmhurst, IL, in June 1960 and graduated from Massey Law College in Chicago, IL, in June 1968. He moved to Albany and began practicing law in 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Rita MacAskill of Albany; daughters, Kelly MacAskill and Meghan MacAskill, both of Albany and a sister, Jane Vaupel of Chicago, IL.
The family will receive friends following the service at Covenant Presbyterian Church.

SYLVESTER - Mitzi Jenkins Maye, 51, of Sumner died Wednesday, January 29, 2003, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pine Forest Baptist Church with interment in Pine Forest Cemetery. The Rev. Brad Hughes and the Rev. Roy Carroll will officiate.
Born May 25, 1951, in Worth County, Ms. Maye had lived in Blakely for the past 20 years. She was a 1969 graduate of Tift County High School and attended A.B.A.C. She was employed with the Albany Post Office as a rural mail carrier. She was formerly employed with Donaldsonville Memorial Hospital as a lab technician. She was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Rex and Aynn Jenkins of Sumner; three sisters, Donna Pritchard of Sylvester, Sharon Jenkins of Sumner and Karon Monk of Sylvester; one brother, Butch Jenkins of Sumner; paternal grandmother, Bessie Jenkins of Sumner; six nieces and nephews.

A native of New Orleans, LA, Mrs. McKinley lived a number of years in Worth County, GA, where she was of the Catholic faith.

McKinley of Sylvester, GA; two sons, Britt McKinley and wife Sheila of Jackson, TN, and Michael McKinley and wife Rosalie of Richmond Hill, GA; a daughter, Donna McKinley of Sylvester, GA; five grandchildren, Jared, Lauren and Ryan McKinley all of Jackson, TN, Christina McKinley of Richmond Hill, GA, Heather Fletcher of Athens, GA; a brother, Albert Bernard Eaton Jr. of New Orleans, LA.

Born November 12, 1926, in Dekalb County, Mrs. Bailey-Ponder was a homemaker. She attended Dekalb County public schools and received her B.S. degree from Clark College in Atlanta. She was a member of 14th Street A.M.E. Church in Atlanta and was den mother for the Cub Scouts.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Ponder of Jacksonville, Fla., Randy Ponder and Robert Ponder, both of Albany; one brother, Richard Bailey of Atlanta; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

ALBANY - Lawrence Lee Reddick Sr., 82, of 3302 MLK Jr. Drive died Monday, January 27, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with interment in Floral Memory Gardens. The Rev. Dr. Daniel Simmons will officiate.
A native of Arlington, Mr. Reddick was retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base. He was an Army veteran. He attended the public schools of Calhoun County. He was a member of the American Legion Post 512 and Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Engram; three daughters, Joyce Reddick and Lois Reddick, both of Albany, and Fannie Richards of Bronx, N.Y.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, John Reddick of Arlington; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Sylvester with interment in Shepard Memorial Garden in Sylvester. The Rev. Lester Knox, pastor will officiate.
Born January 7, 1966, in Worth County, Ms. Rutland was a cafeteria attendant for the Holley Elementary School in Sylvester. She was educated in the Worth County Public School System. Early in life she became a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church in Poulan and later in life she became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she served on the usher board.
Survivors include two sisters, Sidra Rutland and LaToya Rutland, both of Sylvester; six brothers, Hosea Rutland of Albany, Barry Anderson of New Jersey, Bennie Anderson of New York, Lacey Anderson and Trunyell Rutland, both of Sylvester, and Delvin Rutland of Valdosta; grandmother, Lucinda Anderson of Sylvester; devoted friend, William Cain of Sylvester.
