Carl Howard Moody
Carl Howard Moody, age 52 of Sugar Hill passed away Friday, January 22, 2010. He graduated from Corning West High School and Corning Community College and Academy of Fire Science for EMT Training. While in New York he worked for the Corning Ambulance Service and was Chief of the Caton Fire Department. Carl loved Nascar racing and Tropical vacations especially Mexico and Jamaica. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lois Moody.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Donna Moody of Sugar Hill; son, Adam Girardi of Duluth; daughter, Carie Moody of Lilburn; brothers, Richard Moody & Mary Hepworth of Caton, New York and Charles B. Moody of Lake George, New York; sisters, Carol & Stephen Matusick of Caton, New York and Joyce Ripley of Elmira, New York; grandchildren, Maritza, Desiree and Nester Filomeno of Atlanta; brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Cindy Barton of Magnolia, Texas; sister-in-law, Vicki and Chris Kettner; mother-in-law, Rosann Barton; brother-in-law, Joseph Barton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends, neighbors and co-workers at Tristar of America who loved him very much.
Funeral services will be at 12 Noon Wednesday, January 27th at the Family Life Church 1414 Park Commons Square Suwanee, Georgia 30024. Officiating will be Pastor Derek Watson. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, January 26th from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in New York. In lieu of flowers please make a Donation to your favorite charity in the name of Carl Moody.

Deborah June Russell
Deborah June Russell went home to be with the Lord on January 28. Born in Minnesota, 37 years ago, she left a bevy of friends and family.
A celebration of her life will be held 10 a.m. February 6th at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, GA. A celebration will also be held in Green Bay, WI at the Green Bay Community Church, on February 13 at 1 p.m.

Emily Wilk Adler
Emily Wilk Adler died on January 24, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Bent Tree, Jasper, Georgia. She was 103 years, 5 months old. Mrs. Adler was born in Hamburg, Germany, on August 30, 1906 and came to the United States in 1926. She married
Hans Adler in Chicago in 1929 and they had two daughters. After her husband died in 1975, she moved to Atlanta to be near one of her daughters. For more that 20 years she lived at KingsBridge Retirement Home where she established the library and took part in many activities.
Mrs. Adler founded the Atlanta chapter of the American Recorder Society. She was active in Life Enrichment Services, the League of Women Voters, the Citizens Advisory Council on Energy (charter member) and the Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Atlanta.
Mrs. Adler is survived by her two daughters, Marianne Beck (Walter E.) of Waverly, Iowa and Nancy Davis (Monte V.) of Bent Tree; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband and a grandson preceded her in death.
The body was cremated; burial will be in Chicago at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Georgia Mountains Hospice, 70 Caring Way Jasper, GA. 30143.

Katie Bell Hughes, age 86 of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty J. Farmer of Dahlonega, Ga.; sons, Luther Coheley of Dahlonega, Ga. and Kenneth Coheley of Cumming, Ga.; brother, Leroy Piper; sisters, Glenda Hefner, Elsie Mathis, Willie Tinsley, Frances King, Lois, Flora Lee, Virginia and Lorene. Eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survived.

Kerry Dale Danforth
Kerry Dale Danforth, age 62 of Atlanta, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010. He was born November 23, 1947 at Crawford Long Hospital in downtown Atlanta and enjoyed growing up around Atlanta. During the Vietnam War he volunteered for the Air Force. After his time in the service he moved to Charlotte where is met his wife Jean Epps. They had two beautiful children and later moved to Georgia. He had a full life and loved his family immensely. He will be missed for his good nature and for the love he gave everyone.
Mr. Danforth is survived by his brother, Larry Danforth; his son, Brian Danforth; his daughter, Kelly Pugh; three grandchildren, Kayleigh Pugh, Noah Danforth and Harper Ruth Danforth.
