Mr. Kevin Sineath, age 33, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas “Tommy” Sineath; and brother, Jason Siddons. He is survived by his daughter, Kylie Sineath, Buford, GA; son, Gavin Sineath, Buford, GA; mother, Shirley Sineath, Buford, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Tricia and Mark A. Kloberdanz, Arizona; brother, Michael Sineath, Kennesaw, GA; sister, Cyndi Sineath, Jonesboro, GA; several aunts and uncles; two nieces; and six nephews. Mr. Sineath was born January 18, 1978 in Atlanta, GA. He was a 1996 graduate of Morrow Senior High School in Morrow, GA. He was employed with Southeastern Freight Lines in Suwanee, GA. He was a member of Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Benefield and Rev. Charles Sineath officiating. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park South cemetery in Flowery Branch, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church, 4903 Chestnut Mountain Circle, Flowery Branch, GA 30507 in memory of Kevin Sineath.

Miss Jewel Blanton, age 91, of Atlanta, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mamie Blanton; sisters, Helen Blanton, Ruth Glaze, Jeanne Williams; brothers, Wallace Blanton, Jennings Blanton, Glenn Blanton, Dwight Blanton, and Dan Blanton. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Edgar Baldwin, Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Louise Blanton, East Point, GA; and her beloved fourteen nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Miss Blanton was born July 11, 1920 in Caroleen, NC and lived in Atlanta, GA since 1928. She was a retired payroll clerk from the Atlanta Board of Education with thirty years of service. She was a former member of Macon Drive Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. She remained single to care for her mother. She was an avid gardener and loved her pets. She was very generous to the Lord’s work and had time to share her Faith with others. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Mr. Scott Weber and Rev. Brad Blanton officiating. iIntermentwill be at 1:00 p.m. at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Ga. Mrs. Maggie Ruth Ramsey, age 96, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Ramsey; sons, Cecil Ramsey and Earl Herman Ramsey; and daughter, Evelyn Ramsey Earls. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, James Ramsey, Buford, GA and Eddie Fred and Josephine Ramsey, Buford, GA; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; sister and brother-in-law, Norma Nell and E. J. Moore, Jamaica, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Ramsey was born October 14, 1914 and was a life-long resident of Buford, GA. She was a homemaker. She was a long-time member of Poplar Hill Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Brown, Pastor Betty Sue Earls and Pastor Avery Headd officiating and with remains placed in state at 1:00 p.m. iIntermentwill follow at Union cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Tim W. Arnold, age 59, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Homer Bush, Buford, GA and Tanya and Vidal Gonzalez, Buford, GA; and five grandchildren, Cody Bush, Dylan Bush, J. C. Vega, Madison Gonzalez and Mason Gonzalez. Mr. Arnold was born March 26, 1952 in Lawrenceville, GA. He received his education from Berkmar High School. He was an electrician. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Mr. Randell “Randy” Welborn, age 54, of Doraville, GA passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Campbell Welborn. He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Ann Cooper Welborn, Doraville, GA; children, Stephanie and Jason Heupel, Hoschton, GA, Noah Jake and Carrie Welborn, Auburn, GA, Evan and Tonya Romines, Flowery Branch, GA and Ryan and Allison Romines, Homer, GA; five grandchildren; father, Randall and Glenda Welborn, Anderson, SC; sister, Andrea Welborn; grandmother, Thelma Campbell, Lawrenceville, GA; mother-in-law, Martha Cooper, Doraville, GA and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at University Baptist Church, Dresden Drive, Brookhaven, GA with Rev. Gary Ledford officiating.

Mrs. Jade Doster Christensen, age 39, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles W. Doster; brothers, Danny Doster and David Doster. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Todd R. Christensen, Buford, GA; son, Derek Chapman, Buford, GA; daughter, Madeleine Christensen, Buford, GA; mother, Eleanor Smith Doster, Winterville, GA; sisters, Jennifer Doster, Athens, GA; and Jerri Thompson, Athens, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Ann Christensen, Omaha, NE; sister-in-law, Kim and Gary Clark, NC; brothers-in-law, Scott and Regina Christensen, Omaha, NE, and Kevin and Kim Christensen, Sioux City, IA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Christensen was born August 12, 1972 in Athens, GA. She was a 1988 graduate of the Americas Academy in Athens, GA. She was a systems developer for the First National Bank of Omaha for sixteen years. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Barbara Maddox Stephens, age 95, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Avery Stephens, Buford, GA; parents, Jones and Annie Mae Higgins Maddox; sisters, Ollie Mae Maddox Bailey, Lois Russell Cole; brothers, Vollie Maddox, Guy Maddox, Byrd Maddox, and Hoyt Maddox. She is survived by her nieces, Freda Ann Breedlove, Sugar Hill, GA, Hazel Bailey Chesser, Buford, GA, and Vera Mae Bailey, Buford, GA.; nephews, J. W. and Nell Bailey, Buford, GA, Larry and Doris Bailey, Cleveland, GA, Ray and Lucy Maddox, Norcross, GA, and other nieces and nephews; special great-nephew, Cole Breedlove, Sugar Hill, GA; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Stephens was a native of Buford, GA. She was born on August 16, 1916 and a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church. She was retired from Lumite Chicopee in Buford, GA. A graveside service will be Monday, September 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sugar Hill cemetery in Sugar Hill, GA with Rev. Charles Pirkle and Rev. Kenneth Parker officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday September 18, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Ruth Davis Wills, age 93, of Buford, GA and formerly from Leesburg, GA passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Frank and Tessa Weathersby Davis, Dawson, GA; sisters, Mildred Hunter, Columbus, GA, Mary Hislit, Buford GA, and Pearl Perkins, Newnan, GA; and brothers, Raymond Davis, Dawson, GA, William Davis, Albany, GA, and Marvin Davis, Dawson, GA. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Wiley M. “Bud” Wills, Buford, GA; daughter, Marion and Vic Hanners, Buford, GA; son, Terry M. and Sue Wills, Leesburg, GA; grandchildren, Vickie and John Ladshaw, Flowery Branch, GA, Marilyn and Kevin Owen, Flowery Branch, GA, Terry Wills, Jr. and Alicia Wills, Leesburg, GA, Andrea Wills, Morganton, NC, Kelly and Renee Wills, Standfield, NC, Kristie and Matt Elliott, Leesburg, GA, and Scott and Stacy Wills, Albany, GA; twenty three great grandchildren and six great- great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian and Jack Ramsey, Columbus, GA, Julia Weatherly, Augusta, GA, Ruby Culpepper, Opelika, AL, Martha Sherman, Columbus, GA, and Dorothy and Jarman Fussell, Jacksonville, FL; brother, Charles Davis, Jacksonville, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Wills was born December 10, 1917 in Dawson, GA. She graduated from Bronwood High School. She is retired from Tom’s Food in Columbus, GA. She was a member of Wynton United Methodist Church in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Mr. Lonnie R. Cross IV, age 36, of Hoschton, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Gwenn Cranston Cross, Hoschton, GA; son, Lonnie R. Cross V, Hoschton, GA; daughter, McKinley Anne Cross, Hoschton, GA; parents, Lonnie R. Cross III and Walda L. Cross, Panama, South America; sisters and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Terrel Buchan, LaGrange, GA and Meredith Cross, Sharpsburg, GA; and mother-in-law, Shelba Webb, Warm Springs, GA. Mr. Cross was born March 12, 1976 in Pennsylvania. He was employed by DISH Network in Suwanee, GA. He was a member of the Lake Lanier Crappie Club. He was an avid fisherman and noted as the “world’s greatest fisherman.” A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Lake Lanier Islands in Buford, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lonnie R. Cross IV family in his memory.

Mrs. Christine Browning Mundy, age 99, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ebb Mundy; daughters, Judy Mundy Cook and Jerre Mundy Bloom; and grandson, Daniel Mundy. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Gwendolyn and L. C. Crane, Tulsa, OK and Linda and Don Monroe, Alpharetta, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Sammy and Kathy Mundy, Buford, GA and Rev. Danny and Donna Mundy, Gray, GA; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Mundy was born June 27, 1912 and was a life-long resident of Gwinnett County, GA. She was a homemaker. She was the oldest member of Island Ford Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Mundy and Rev. Tom Jordan officiating. iIntermentwill follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Jacqueline Burel Dove, age 66, of Lawrenceville, passed away on April 2, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Rilla Gower Burel, and brother, Jerry Burel. Born in Thomaston, Georgia, Mrs. Dove lived all of her adult life in Gwinnett County. She was a homemaker and a member of The First Baptist Church of Atlanta. Survivors include her husband of forty-six years, Terry Dove; children, Denise Wilkes, Danielsville, and Kevin Dove, Lawrenceville; brother, Ted Burel, Bolingbrook, Illinois; sister-in-law, Kathe Burel, Thomaston; and God-daughter, Kasey Pressley, Macon. Other survivors include an uncle, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In honoring Jackie’s wishes, her remains have been cremated and there will be no funeral service. Inurnment will be at Duncan Creek Congregational Church Cemetery, Buford, GA. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in her memory to The Wills Eye Cancer Research Foundation, P. O. Box 832, Philadelphia, PA 19105-0832. There will be a visitation at Flanigan Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Wiley Edsel Crowe, of Buford, GA, born 07-07-1927 in Forsythe County to the late Wiley Birl Crowe and Alice Mae Cantrell Crowe passed away on April 2, 2011. Wiley and his late wife, Ruby, moved to Atlanta in 1944. He was drafted into the military Airforce Division in 1945 and served in the South Pacific for 2 years. After returning home as a WWII Veteran, he went to work for Potter and Rayfield as a machinist for 30 years. Then he went to work for General Motors as a tool maker. In 1972, he started with Atlanta Journal as Lead Liaison of mechanical maintenance, which he retired in 1989 after 17 years. He and his wife moved back to Gwinnett County near Clint and Ara Jones homeplace in a retirement home they built. Mr. Crowe was a member of In Touch Ministries with Rev. Charles Stanley of First Baptist Church of Atlanta. He was also a Master Mason and member of Masonic Lodge #171 in Mabelton, GA for 50 plus years. He was ordained as a Baptist Deacon in 1953 and served as a Deacon at Maranantha Baptist Church for 6 years. Mr. Crowe was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, his wife of 65 years, Ruby Jones Crowe, a son Larry Edsel Crowe and a sister, Ethel Mozzelle Crowe Etheridge, all of Buford, GA. Survivors are a sister Ida Mae Crowe White of Buchanon, GA and a host of nieces, nephews and beloved friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. iIntermentwill follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Crowe’s wishes are for donations to be made to Friendship Community Baptist Church, 3784 Friendship Circle, Buford, GA 30519.

Mr. Kerry G. Maddox, age 48, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011. He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Esther Maddox, Sugar Hill, GA; parents, J. W. and Violet Maddox, Sugar Hill, GA; brother, Kevin Maddox, Sugar Hill, GA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Maddox was born August 21, 1962 in Buford, GA. He was a 1981 graduate of Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, GA. He was employed with The Atlanta Journal Constitution in Atlanta, GA as printer production. He was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

James W. “Bill” Waldrep, Sr., 76, of Flowery Branch, GA. passed away on Friday April 1st, 2011. Born in Atlanta, GA on April 8, 1934 and grew up in the Morningside area. He was a graduate of Henry Grady High School and attended the University of Ga. His life long careers was in sales of heavy bakery equipment. He returned in 2000 from Sasib bakery equipment (Stewart Systems) headquarted in Plano, TX. He is survived by his wife, Mavis, of 56 years. Sons James W. Jr. and his wife Priscilla. Of Ellijay, Michael A. “Andy”, of Flowery Branch, Karen Andress and her husband Glen, of Virginia beach, VA, and Sister Sandra Watts, of New Port Richey, FL. five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and two nephews. Cremation services by: Junior E. Flanigan of Flanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Buford, GA, 770-932-1133, Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
